Good DB Migrations for CakePHP?

Hi, I have been trying a few migration scripts for CakePHP but I ran into problems with all of the in some form or another. Please advice me on a migration option for Cake that you use live and know works. I'd like the following "features": -Support CakePHP 1.2(e.g. CakeDCs migrations will only be an option when 1.3 is stable and my app migrated to the new codebase) -Support for (or at least not halt on) Models with a different database config. -Support Models in sub-folders of app/models -Support Models in plugins -Support tables that do not conform to Cake conventions (I have a few special tables that do not have a single primary key field and need to keep them) -Plays well with automated deployment via Capistrano and Git. I do not need rails-style versioned files a git versioned schema file that is compared live to the existing schema will do. That is: I like the SchemaShell in Cake apart from it not being compatible with most of my requirements above. How to remove space between chart area and plot area?

I am using chartingToolKit:Chart control. I want to remove the white space appear in between the chart and plot area. Getting the CVE ID Property of an update from WSUS API via Powershell

I am writing a script in Powershell to get the update information from each computer and correlate the information with another System which identifies updates by CVE ID. I have discovered that there is a "CVEIDs" property for an update in WSUS, which is documented in MSDN, but I have no idea how to access the property. Retrieving the CVE ID from WSUS is the key to this script, so I am hoping someone out there can help! Here is the property that I am having difficulty accessing: IUpdate2::CveIDs Property - http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa386102(VS.85).aspx According to this, the IUnknown::QueryInterface method is needed to interface IUpdate2 - "http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee917057(PROT.10).aspx" "An IUpdate instance can be retrieved by calling the IUpdateCollection::Item (opnum 8) (section 3.22.4.1) method. VS2008 EF and non crud SP usage.

Using an edmx version of EF. My returned data is a join between tables that has a COMPOUND filter on the primary table. In essence this query is going to return a SEGMENT of Law codes and descriptions that a user can tie to a Sex Offender report. I have a complex SP because Linq2SQL cannot pass in a between statement, or at least that is how I understand the error. The Code itself is broken up by '-' marks. 39-13-504 "Aggravated Sexual Battery" User wants to have a query with 4 parmas 39, 13, 500, 599. Get all codes from Title 39 and Chapter 13 with parts between 500 and 599. I have the SP in place to do the work, is there are way to consume the SP within the EF? I find many blogs about SPs with CRUD operations as their use of an SP. That doesn't fit this need at all. I do not have a single table but a join to the "prior selections" table that maps the key for the code. Any pointers on how to get a READ with an SP? TIA

My problem now is that I would like to offer to users a function to update an existing record in SQL. As each row on this table has a unique id columne. There is a column call UID which is the primary key. How to get decent MySQL driver perfomance in Ruby

I notice that I am getting very poor performance for either or both inserts and queries. The queries themselves are basic and can execute with no delay directly from mysql. The ruby script that I wrote is only 1 thread, so only 1 connection is being used, and never closed unless the script is terminated. Pretty basic, I am just trying to insert a lot of rows. There is a look-up or two to get a surrogate key, or to check for duplicates, but the complexity is just O(n). Also, it isn't like there are millions of records, so again the queries themselves take no time to run. I am using: Ruby 1.9.1 Gem/driver:ruby-mysql 2.9.2 MySQL 5.1.37-1ubuntu5.1 ^ all 32 bit versions on a 32bit ubuntu distro I am getting about 1-2 inserts per second, pretty slow. I know a lot of people will suggest to change drivers, but that means I have some refactoring and resting to do. So I would really appreciate any help, but please if you do recomend that at least say why you do (eg: if you have used ruby-mysql x.x.x before and found another mysql driver to be better).ruby-mysql 2.9.2 What I would like to know: How can I improve performance with ruby-mysql 2.9.2 If and only if I cannot do this with ruby-mysql 2.9.2, what should I do?

Django Admin: OneToOne Relation as an Inline?

I am putting together the admin for a satchmo application. Satchmo uses OneToOne relations to extend the base Product model, and I'd like to edit it all on one page. It is possible to have a OneToOne relation as an Inline? If not, what is the best way to add a few fields to a given page of my admin that will eventually be saved into the OneToOne relation? for example: class Product(models.Model): name = models.CharField(max_length=100) ... class MyProduct(models.Model): product = models.OneToOne(Product) ... I tried this for my admin but it does not work, and seems to expect a Foreign Key: class ProductInline(admin.StackedInline): model = Product fields = ('name',) class MyProductAdmin(admin.ModelAdmin): inlines = (AlbumProductInline,) admin.site.register(MyProduct, MyProductAdmin) Which throws this error: <class 'satchmo.product.models.Product'> has no ForeignKey to <class 'my_app.models.MyProduct'> Is the only way to do this a Custom Form? edit: Just tried the following code to add the fields directly... also does not work: class AlbumAdmin(admin.ModelAdmin): fields = ('product__name',)

I found something similar and i was trying with this code: HasMany(x => x.Resources) .AsMap<string>("LangCode") .AsIndexedCollection<string>("LangCode", c => c.GetIndexMapping()) .Cascade.All() .KeyColumn("EntityID"); but i dont know how to map the CategoryResource entity as a composite element inside the Category element. Deleting JPA entity containing @CollectionOfElements throws ConstraintViolationException

I'm trying to delete entities which contain lists of Integer, and I'm getting ConstraintViolationExceptions because of the foreign key on the table generated to hold the integers. It appears that the delete isn't cascading to the mapped collection. I've done quite a bit of searching, but all of the examples I've seen on how to accomplish this are in reference to a mapped collection of other entities which can be annotated; here I'm just storing a list of Integer. drupal using node.save with XMLRPC call to another site. "Access Denied" message

I have a piece of code on 1 drupal site to create a node another drupal site in a multi-site setup. It looks like I'm getting the sessionid and logging in just fine, but when trying to create a "page" node, I get "Access denied". Under Services - Settings I have "Key Authentication", "Use keys" is unchecked, and "Use sessid" is checked. Server port 16080 problem: webserver adds the port number 16080 in the URL

Hello everybody. On my wordpress website one little thing doesn't work. Sometimes the Webserver adds the port number 16080 in the URL, which leads to an error (network timeout). Wrong: http://www.example.com:16080/about-us/weekly-program/?month=may&yr=2010 Correct: http://www.example.com/about-us/weekly-program/?month=may&yr=2010 Has someone a "Server port 16080 problem fix"? Is it possible, that I need to add a ServerName directive to the config file to tell the domain name of the server? Cheers Juri !!!update!!! josso newbie setup problems - can't use tomcat's manager page

I'm trying to setup josso on an apache tomcat server running on windows. I've installed Apache Tomcat/6.0.26 fro zip file to c:\tomcat then installed josso following the documentation at http://www.josso.org/confluence/display/JOSSO1/Quick+Start started tomcat with c:\tomcat\bin\startup.bat, and noticed the following warnings ADVERTENCIA: [SetPropertiesRule]{Server/Service/Engine/Realm} Setting property ' debug' to '1' did not find a matching property. 21/03/2010 15:55:03 org.apache.tomcat.util.digester.SetPropertiesRule begin ADVERTENCIA: [SetPropertiesRule]{Server/Service/Engine/Host/Valve} Setting prope rty 'appName' to 'josso' did not find a matching property. ... Not able to save extjs combo using grails controller

Hi all, I am a newbie to grails/extjs I am developing a web based config tool for my team .My issue is with comboboxes of extjs I have three remote comboxes(many to one hibernate mappng).I am using hiddenName to submit its value field(which is id primay key of database) instead of its display field which is name which i get by rendering it as json.some how I see that if I select diff index other than which is loaded from db and try updating it.it definitely sends it as params but in save method of grails its not updated. I want to understand Why? Maven assembly - Error reading assemblies

Dear all, I have defined a personalized jar-with-dependencies assembly descriptor. However, when I execute it with mvn assembly:assembly, I get : ... Android HttpClient and HTTPS

Hi all, I'm new to implementing HTTPS connections in Android. Essentially, I'm trying to connect to a server using the org.apache.http.client.HttpClient. I believe, at some point, I'll need to access the application's keystore in order to authorize my client with a private key. But, for the moment, I'm just trying to connect and see what happens; I keep getting an HTTP/1.1 400 Bad Request error. I can't seem to make heads or tails of this despite many examples (none of them seem to work for me). My code looks like this (the BODY constant is XmlRPC): private void connect() throws IOException, URISyntaxException{ HttpPost post = new HttpPost(new URI(PROD_URL)); HttpClient client = new DefaultHttpClient(); post.setEntity(new StringEntity(BODY)); HttpResponse result = client.execute(post); Log.d("MainActivity", result.getStatusLine().toString()); } So, pretty simple. How to use perl for SMTP connection with user and SSL Auth and send emails with attachment

I am using a SMTP mail server which require user + ssl authentication for connection. I am looking for the perl modules to connect to the mail server and send emails but doesn't found anything helpful. Any suggestion for perl module or any perl code would be really appreciated. EDIT I have tried to use Mail::Sendmail and Net::SMTP::SSL to connect to the sendmail server and send mail. Below is the sample code but getting the error user unknown. Sql Query - Selecting rows where user can be both friend and user

Hey Sorry the title is not very clear. This is a follow up to my earlier question where one of the members helped me with a query. I have a following friends Table Friend friend_id - primary key user_id user_id_friend status The way the table is populated is - when I send a friend request to John - my userID appears in user_id and Johns userID appears in user_id_friend. Now another scenario is say Mike sends me a friend request - in this case mike's userID will appear in user_id and my userID will appear in user_id_friend So to find all my friends - I need to run a query to find where my userID appears in both user_id column as well as user_id_friend column What I am trying to do now is - when I search for user say John - I want all users Johns listed on my site to show up along with the status of whether they are my friend or not and if they are not - then show a "Add Friend" button. Based on the previous post - I got this query which does part of the job - My example user_id is 1: SELECT u.user_id, f.status FROM user u LEFT OUTER JOIN friend f ON f.user_id = u.user_id and f.user_id_friend = 1 where u.name like '%' So this only shows users with whom I am friends where they have sent me request ie my userID appears in user_id_friend. Although I am friends with others (where my userID appears in user_id column) - this query will return that as null To get those I need another query like this SELECT u.user_id, f.status FROM user u LEFT OUTER JOIN friend f ON f.user_id_friend = u.user_id and f.user_id = 1 where u.name like '%' So how do I combine these queries to return 1 set of users and what my friendship status with them is. Dashes represent 0 or no number. I'd like to be able to mark a rectangular region such as third column above, call a function (format-column), and automatically have (-73135-11018-69313+64-26330)/1000 sitting in my kill-ring. Even better would be -73.135-11.018-69.313+0.064-26.330 but I couldn't figure out a way to transform 64 -- 0.064. Do you see a better way to write format-column, and/or could you make suggestions on how to improve this code?

displaying images in a list box so the image resizes based on parent container

I have an expander with a list box in it that displays image thumbnails. I want the images to be sized according to the size of the listbox and the list box to be sized based on the width of the expander. When I expand the expander I want the list box and the images to resize also. Shift-reduce: when to stop reducing?

I'm trying to learn about shift-reduce parsing. Suppose we have the following grammar, using recursive rules that enforce order of operations, inspired by the ANSI C Yacc grammar: S: A; P : NUMBER | '(' S ')' ; M : P | M '*' P | M '/' P ; A : M | A '+' M | A '-' M ; And we want to parse 1+2 using shift-reduce parsing. First, the 1 is shifted as a NUMBER. My question is, is it then reduced to P, then M, then A, then finally S? How does it know where to stop? Suppose it does reduce all the way to S, then shifts '+'. We'd now have a stack containing: S '+' If we shift '2', the reductions might be: S '+' NUMBER S '+' P S '+' M S '+' A S '+' S Now, on either side of the last line, S could be P, M, A, or NUMBER, and it would still be valid in the sense that any combination would be a correct representation of the text. How does the parser "know" to make it A '+' M So that it can reduce the whole expression to A, then S? In other words, how does it know to stop reducing before shifting the next token? Is this a key difficulty in LR parser generation?
