  Ant replace task does a in-place replacement without creating a new file. The below snippet replaces tokens in any of the *.xml files with the corresponding values from my.properties file. <replace dir="${projects.prj.dir}/config" replacefilterfile="${projects.prj.dir}/my.properties" includes="*.xml" summary="true"/'> I want those *.xml files that had their tokens replaced be created as *.xml.filtered (for e.g.) and still have the original *.xml. Is this possible in Ant with some smart combination of tasks and concepts ?

• Modifications in default document won't take effect

  We have a website developed by ASP.NET+IIS7 and its default document is default.aspx. It works fine. But when we tried to switch the default to index.html, weird things happened. We have modified web.config as follows: <defaultDocument> <files> <clear /> <add value="index.html" /> </files> </defaultDocument> and we have clear everything under C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\Temporary ASP.NET Files``, and restart the worker process. We even changed the name of Default.aspx to dddd.aspx. But everything stays the same when accessing with http://localhost/<MyAppName>/! And when we tried to access with http://localhost/<MyAppName>/index.html, it works fine. Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.

• Tridion Core Service - Transaction roll back isnt working

  We are using the core service in ASP.NET custom page in order to create pages and components and sevenral updates (checkout,save and chekin). we want those operations to work in transaction, we tried to implement it acording to some examples over the net. However we didn't succeded operating the rollback. It seems that the operation are immediately performed without waiting for the comit . • ASP.NET & Oracle Windows Authentication - Is this possible?

  I am trying to enable Windows Authentication on my IIS 6.0 Server with some client technology and Oracle DB server. When I load the ASPX page and have unchecked Anonymous Access and checked Integrated Windows Authentication, I can see my LOGON_USER credentials on the server via tracing. I am now trying to see if the same user can read data from a LINUX-based Oracle server. I can't seem to pass over the credentials! How can I connect to Oracle? Anything special I should know about in terms of web.config files? Another question is, I'm assuming the Oracle server should be 'hooked' to Active Directory? How about manually adding users to the allowed tables? What about Oracle's LDAP, OID? Can anyone direct me to a good link for reference?

• Redirect URL from AJAX Calls

  All, I have an application written in Zend MVC Framework. So, naturally all regular requests and ajax requests go through /public/index.php. I want my application to support maintenance mode. So, in my index.php file, I have the following code: if( Zend_Registry::get('config')->maintenance == 'true' ) { header('Location:/maintenance.php'); } The issue is, when ajax requests are called they render servermaintenance.php inside the page instead of redirecting to this page. How can I make sure it gets redirected instead of getting rendered? Thanks

• clearcase option for view movement from one host path to another

  Hi all, I have created a clearcase dynamic view for my development by name "view1". I have mistakenly selected the view storage location as a local PC in my network, that was made sharable by the PC owner. I was suppose to select the view storage location to be a server. Now, the issue is that I have done lot of development with the view that I have created and have plenty of view DO's and view private files in it. So I'm ruling out the option of deleting the view from the PC local storage (host path) and then creating another view in the server with the same config spec. Please, let me know if there is any method of editing the view properties (or doing something else) by which I could be able to move the view to the server (with all the DO's and view private files retained) Thanks in advance, Rahamath

• ShGetFileInfo called for directory oddity

  Hello, I have a simple file browser and there I display files and folders, obtained by (for directory) SHFILEINFO info = new SHFILEINFO(); SHGetFileInfo(filename, FILE_ATTRIBUTE_DIRECTORY, ref info,Marshal.SizeOf(info), SHGFI_ICON | SHGFI_USEFILEATTRIBUTES | SHGFI_SMALLICON | SHGFI_ADDOVERLAYS); It works 100% fine, but I have noticed an oddity - if I try to obtain an icon for directory, but specify FILE_ATTRIBUTE_NORMAL instead of FILE_ATTRIBUTE_DIRECTORY but it does weird stuff for directories - normal folders have "unknown file type white paper" icons, recycle bin has VLC icon, etc. Directories under SVN have proper overlay, but base file icon (white sheet of paper). I understand that base icon for directory would now be the one of unknown file, but why do some folders have totally strange icon? Config.MSI has installer icon, recycle bin has VLC icon (wtf?!), etc. What does the shell function do with this parameters? Exactly what icon does it obtain? Again, this is not a problem, I'm just curious.

• Zend Framework on a Shared Host

  I am trying to push my first ZF project to my shared hosting provider. I have done a lot of testing on my home server and everything is working great. My issue is that I do not know how to set up my .htaccess files on the shared hosting provider to make it work correctly. The ZF documentation says to configure my Apache config VirtualServer DocumentRoot to /whatever/path/project-folder/public, but I don't have that kind of access. How do I get around this? I have seen http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1115547/zend-framework-on-shared-hosting but none of those solutions have worked for me. My application path looks like this / - .htaccess - /application ... - /public -- .htaccess -- index.php -- ... ...   I have a WCF Service hosted w/n IIS that has the following host header: WcfService.xxx.com. I'm able to successfully browse via IE to my service with the address subdomain.xxx.com/ServiceName.svc. I'm trying to consume the WCF Service via a ASP.NET Web application that has the following host header subdomain2.xxx.com. I've added the service reference correctly in the web.config to /WcfService.xxx.com/ServiceName.svc, but get the error(s): "The remote name could not be resolved: 'WcfService.xxx.com'" "There was no endpoint listening at http://WcfService.xxx.com/ServiceName.svc that could accept the message. This is often caused by an incorrect address or SOAP action" Any direction/help would be appreciated.

• Storing And Using Microsoft User Account Credentials in SQL Server 2008 database

  I'm not exactly positive how to word this for the sake of the title so please forgive me. Also I can't seem to figure out how to even google this question, so I'm hoping that I can get a lead in the right direction. Part of my software(VB.NET App) requires the ability to access/read/write a shared network folder. I have an option for the user to specify any credentials that might be needed to access said folder. I want to store these credentials given in the SQL Server database as part of the config (I have a table which contains configuration). My concern is that the password for the user account will be unencrpyted. Yet, if I encrypt the password the VB.NET App And/Or database will be unable to use the credentials for file i/o operations unless the Password is unencrypted before use. I'm fishing for suggestions on how to better handle this situation.

  I've got a Container with a header, content (Carousel) and a footer. The Container itself is therefor scrollable (vertical) to be able to scroll down to the footer. The Carousel can be swiped horizontally to change active item. I want to lock it to do only two thing: If starting to move vertically, only scroll Container If starting to move horizontally, only scroll Carousel If you now grab the Carousel you are able to scroll both ways at the same time.   Using import aliasing in a single class, we can reference class library namespaces by assigning our own custom alias like this: Imports Db = Company.Lib.Data.Objects And then we are able to reference the classes inside of Company.Lib.Data.Objects by using the Db alias that we assigned. Is it possible to do this at the global level so that the alias is applied to the entire solution instead of the given file? Currently, we are working with web applications, so I was hoping we could add something to web.config, but I am also interested in whether or not this is possible with windows forms, console apps, and/or class libraries.

  I am using SQLite as my db during development, and I want to postpone actually creating a final database until my domains are fully mapped. We have added the followign in web.config but it does not look like it helps: <httpRuntime maxRequestLength="1048576" executionTimeout="3600" /> Please let me know if you have any suggestions.

• dynamic 404.jsp using struts

  I would like to display an intelligent 404 page with some application data. Currently, there is a 'dumb' jsp, so I just forward to the view and I am done with it. But now I guess I really need to forward to an action so that I can set some more data to display on the error.jsp. How do I do it through configuration via struts-config? I need congifuration because I do not want to touch any individual files that might be forwarding to the existing view. I tried doing the fol, but I get an error and I dont see anything in the log. • Flex 3 and flash player caching

  hi, i pass text strings from a configuration file into my Flex app, one of the strings i pass in is a mailto link which i use to allow users of my app to send me feedback. I recently needed to change this link however when i updated the link in my config file the change did not happen instantly in my Flex app. In fact i had to clear my cache (both browser and flash player) before the change showed up. This of course is fine for me but how can i be sure that users of the application also get the updated content? Is there a way to force a refresh of data loaded into my swf on other users browsers? Finally is this an issue with my browser cache or the Flash player cache? Does the flash player only keep such data, like my email address, in memory while the app is in use and then clear once it is closed or does it cache this data for the next time the user wants to use the app?   I'm new to Devise and have it working fine by using an email address as the authentication key. However, I have a use case which requires a username instead and I can't seem to get it working. I've added a string column, "username" to the users table, changed the fields from :email to :username in the sign-in form, and have changed the authentication key in devise.rb to :username yet when I go to sign in I'm met with this prompt: "Please enter an email address". • How I can I get my home network's IP address from a shell script?

  I have an account at a server at school, and a home computer that I need to work with sometimes. I have exchanged keys, and now only have one problem. While my school account has a name associated with it, "account_name@school", my home network does not. My plan is to have a script that every hour retrieves my home network's IP address, ssh'es into my school account and updates my ssh config file storing my home network's IP address. How can I retrieve my home computer's IP address from a shell script? P.S. Is this a sensible plan?

  Is is possible to declare mocks using some mocking framework for my own classes declaratively with Spring? I know there are some standard mocks available in Spring, but I'd like to be able to mock out my own classes declaratively too. Just to check I'm not going about this the wrong way: the idea is to have a pair of JUnit test and Spring config for each integration test I want to do, mocking everything except the specific integration aspect I'm testing (say I had a dependency on two different data services, test one at a time) and minimising the amount of repeated Java code specifying the mocks.
