    I get the following error when trying to start a daemon using Ubuntu 10.04 and the PHP5: PHP Warning: PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library 'usr/lib/php5/20060613/pcntl.so' - /usr/lib/php5/20060613/pcntl.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory in Unknown on line 0 Does System_Daemon try to call pcntl? If so, why is it looking for the file where it does not exist?

  • retrieving information from web service calls

    Hi all, I am trying to retrieve information from a web service call. The following is what I have so far. In my text view, it is showing Map {item=anyType{key=TestKey; value=2;}; item=anyType{key=TestField; value=adsfasd; };} When I ran that in the debugger, I can see the information above in the variable, tempvar. But the question is, how do I retrieve the information (i.e. the actual values of "key" and "value" in each of the array positions)? Yes, I know there is a lot going on in onCreate and I will fix it later. That was easy accomplished by: page = number_of_records_before_RECORD / number_of_pages + 1 Now I want to display the first item of today's events as the first item in that page. Maybe there is a way to generate page numbers around a record with negative values to get back.

I can't find the implementation of this singleton in boost library. There is only singletons from serialization and pool. What's wrong?

I want to add these other elements from parm-file as parameter to output file if element-names are matching. (the Attributes should only be generated if an element "InvoiceHeader" exists in the source-xml.   • Finding the closest object in proxmity to the mouse Coordinates

    Hey there, i've been working on a problem for a while now, which involves targeting the closest movieClip in relation to the x y coords of the mouse, I've attached a nice little acompanying graphic. Each mc added to the stage has it's own sub-class (HotSpots) which uses Pythag to measure distance from mouse. At this stage i can determine the closest value from my Main class but can't figure out how to reference it back to the movieclip... hope this makes sense. Below are the two Classes.     Based on the IE documentation on MSDN IE 8 supports up to 6 parallel connections per server and IE 6,7 support 2. What is the upper limit of parallel connections accross all the hosts? So if I have 60 hosts, 8 requests per host, so 360 requests in the HTML page - does it mean that IE 8 will have 360 connection in parallel and IE 6 or 7 would have 120? (ignoring the html rendering time, and if call is blocking or not)

  • Accidental Complexity in OpenSSL HMAC functions

    SSL Documentation Analaysis This question is pertaining the usage of the HMAC routines in OpenSSL. Since Openssl documentation is a tad on the weak side in certain areas, profiling has revealed that using the: unsigned char *HMAC(const EVP_MD *evp_md, const void *key, int key_len, const unsigned char *d, int n, unsigned char *md, unsigned int *md_len); From here, shows 40% of my library runtime is devoted to creating and taking down **HMAC_CTX's behind the scenes. There are also two additional function to create and destroy a HMAC_CTX explicetly: HMAC_CTX_init() initialises a HMAC_CTX before first use. It must be called. HMAC_CTX_cleanup() erases the key and other data from the HMAC_CTX and releases any associated resources. It must be called when an HMAC_CTX is no longer required. These two function calls are prefixed with: The following functions may be used if the message is not completely stored in memory My data fits entirely in memory, so I choose the HMAC function -- the one whose signature is shown above. The context, as described by the man page, is made use of by using the following two functions: HMAC_Update() can be called repeatedly with chunks of the message to be authenticated (len bytes at data). HMAC_Final() places the message authentication code in md, which must have space for the hash function output. The Scope of the Application My application generates a authentic (HMAC, which is also used a nonce), CBC-BF encrypted protocol buffer string. The code will be interfaced with various web-servers and frameworks Windows / Linux as OS, nginx, Apache and IIS as webservers and Python / .NET and C++ web-server filters. The description above should clarify that the library needs to be thread safe, and potentially have resumeable processing state -- i.e., lightweight threads sharing a OS thread (which might leave thread local memory out of the picture). The Question How do I get rid of the 40% overhead on each invocation in a (1) thread-safe / (2) resume-able state way ? (2) is optional since I have all of the source-data present in one go, and can make sure a digest is created in place without relinquishing control of the thread mid-digest-creation. So, (1) can probably be done using thread local memory -- but how do I resuse the CTX's ? does the HMAC_final() call make the CTX reusable ?. (2) optional: in this case I would have to create a pool of CTX's. (3) how does the HMAC function do this ? does it create a CTX in the scope of the function call and destroy it ? Psuedocode and commentary will be useful.

  • Including FFMPEG with a Java application on Mac

    I'm writing a Java program that will be used on both Windows and Mac. In the program, I'm using FFMPEG to convert a MOV file to an FLV. On Windows, it's no problem -- simply call the command. But on Mac, I'm not quite sure what to do. Does the user really have to install FFMPEG on their machine, or can it somehow be included in the Java application? Thanks for any help/guidance!

  • Pound symbol not displaying on web page

    Hello I have a mysql database table to store country name and currency symbol - the CHARSET has correctly set to UTF8. This is example data inserted into the table insert into country ( country_name, currency_name, currency_code, currency_symbol) values ('UK','Pounds','GBP','£'); When I look in the database - the pound symbol appears fine - but when I retrieve it from the database and display it on the website - a weird square symbol shows up with a question mark inside instead of the pound symbol.
