    Hello, I have a question regarding the C++ Standard. Suppose you have a base class with user defined copy constructor and assignment operator. The derived class uses the implicit one generated by the compiler. Does copying / assignment of the derived class call the user defined copy constructor / assignment operator? Or do you need to implement user defined versions that call the base class? Thank you for your help.

    I think OpenId has many things for it. But the biggest beef I have with it, is usability. Especially the technically non-savvy have dificulty understanding that the need to select a "provider" to login. Stackoverflows login implementation is quite good, but I think it would cost me quite some explaining to get my mother to use here gmail account to register/login to another site... So the question is: Does anynone know OpenId register/login implemtantions which are more usable than Stackoverflows?

    I know we can have this in 1.4: $("a").bind({ click : clickFn, mouseover: mouseFn }); and that is nice and i would like to use it, but it seems like there is no way to pass extra data to events bound this way, it needs to be done the 'old way': $("a").bind("click", {"some":"data"}, clickFn); Question: how can i pass the extra data to my event call backs and bind multiple events in a single bind at the same time?

    May be a dumb question, but GWT FlowPanel (raw div element) does not provides something to handle a mouseclick/mousemovement on it. Overriding onBrowserEvent do not works either. If setting onclick event using native JavaScript (need to specify positive height before, 'div' have a height of 0 if not specified), then catching these events is working properly. Is there a way to do it without using JSNI?

    Hello, I have come up with a rewriterule to to go to any page on my website without typing in the .php extension because it is automatically added to the url. The rule is: RewriteRule ^(\w+)/?$ /$1.php It takes anything you type in my index and adds .php to it, so you can put in http://sampardee.com/index and it pulls up index.php Now my question is how to detect when a user enters http://sampardee.com/index.php and change it to http://sampardee.com/index How could I do so with a rewriterule?

    The list of valid XML characters is well known, as defined by the spec it's: #x9 | #xA | #xD | [#x20-#xD7FF] | [#xE000-#xFFFD] | [#x10000-#x10FFFF] My question is whether or not it's possible to make a PCRE regular expression for this (or its inverse) without actually hard-coding the codepoints, by using Unicode general categories. An inverse might be something like [\p{Cc}\p{Cs}\p{Cn}], except that improperly covers linefeeds and tabs and misses some other invalid characters.

  • Images are overflowing their container in IE8 with Fancybox

    In a sort of follow up to this question, I have another problem in IE8. When clicking the gallery and the lightbox appears, the images are overflowing their containing element (by the looks of things). Has anyone ever experienced this before? Of course, the good guys (Firefox/Safari/etc) display it perfectly. How do I fix this? Thanks UPDATE Should I just got with a new Lightbox?

  • MySQL forgot about automatically creating an index for a foreign key?

    After running the following SQL statements, you will see that, MySQL has automatically created the non-unique index question_tag_tag_id_tag_id on the tag_id column for me after the first ALTER TABLE statement has run. But after the second ALTER TABLE statement has run, I think MySQL should also automatically create another non-unique index question_tag_question_id_question_id on the question_id column for me. But as you can see from the SHOW INDEXES statement output, it's not there. Why does MySQL forget about the second ALTER TABLE statement? By the way, since I have already created a unique index question_id_tag_id_idx used by both question_id and tag_id columns. I have installed the latest JCL library and added 'JclCompression' to the uses list in a unit and I get the error: "Unit JclCompression was compiled with a different version of sevenzip.IOutArchive".
