• NHibernate.QueryException with dynamic-component

  OK, this is going to be kind of a long shot, since it's a big system (which I don't claim to fully understand, yet), and the problem might not be with NHibernate itself, and I'm even having trouble reproducing it, but... I've got a class with a <dynamic-component section, and when I run a query on it (through my ASP.NET MVC app), it fails, but only sometimes. (Yeah, the worst kind!) • How to troubleshoot PHP session file empty issue?

I checked phpInfo(). The session is enabled. Session Support enabled Registered save handlers files user sqlite Registered serializer handlers php php_binary wddx Directive Local Value Master Value session.auto_start Off Off session.bug_compat_42 On On When the page is accessed, there is session file sess_lnrk7ttpai8187v9q6iok74p20 created in my "D:\xampp\tmp" folder. But the content is empty. With Firebug, I can see cookies about the session. Cookie PHPSESSID=lnrk7ttpai8187v9q6iok74p20 It seems session data is not flushed to files. Is there any way or direction to trouble shoot this issue? Thanks.

• Dumping an ADODB recordset to XML, then back to a recordset, then saving to the db

  I've created an XML file using the .Save() method of an ADODB recordset in the following manner. dim res dim objXML: Set objXML = Server.CreateObject("MSXML2.DOMDocument") 'This returns an ADODB recordset set res = ExecuteReader("SELECT * from some_table) With res Call .Save(objXML, 1) Call .Close() End With Set res = nothing Let's assume that the XML generated above then gets saved to a file. I'm able to read the XML back into a recordset like this: dim res : set res = Server.CreateObject("ADODB.recordset") res.open server.mappath("/admin/tbl_some_table.xml") And I can loop over the records without any problem. However what I really want to do is save all of the data in res to a table in a completely different database. We can assume that some_table already exists in this other database and has the exact same structure as the table I originally queried to make the XML. • Efficient method to calculate the rank vector of a list in Python

  I'm looking for an efficient way to calculate the rank vector of a list in Python, similar to R's rank function. In a simple list with no ties between the elements, element i of the rank vector of a list l should be x if and only if l[i] is the x-th element in the sorted list. This is simple so far, the following code snippet does the trick: def rank_simple(vector): return [rank for rank in sorted(range(n), key=vector.__getitem__)] Things get complicated, however, if the original list has ties (i.e. multiple elements with the same value). In that case, all the elements having the same value should have the same rank, which is the average of their ranks obtained using the naive method above. So, for instance, if I have [1, 2, 3, 3, 3, 4, 5], the naive ranking gives me [0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6], but what I would like to have is [0, 1, 3, 3, 3, 5, 6]. Which one would be the most efficient way to do this in Python? Footnote: I don't know if NumPy already has a method to achieve this or not; if it does, please let me know, but I would be interested in a pure Python solution anyway as I'm developing a tool which should work without NumPy as well.

• spring 3 uploadify giving 404 Error

  I am using Spring 3 and implementing Uploadify. The problem is, the files are updating properly but it is giving HTTP Error 404, on completion of file upload. I tried every possible solution, but none of them works. The files are uploaded. Values are storing in DB properly, only that i am getting HTTP Error 404.   Hey people Okay, what I'm trying to accomplish is a simple tool tip that, when you hover over the name of a color, shows a little image of that color. But when you hover over the text the little thumbnail shows up and makes it easy to recognize the color. The problem is I haven't got a clue how to get the src for the thumbnail. I don't know how to extract the src from the img inside the selected element. I've tried various combinations using the this keyword, but nothing seemed to work. I've also tried to add the src path as a rel attribute to the label, but also without any success. Should be needless to say I also control the PHP-output... I really hope you can help me. • jQuery.post() issues with passing data to jQuery UI

  Hello, I am trying to get jQuery.post() to run my php script and then open a jQuery UI dialog with the data that php script returns. Its supposed to come back as a form with a table and a textarea in it. It works great with alert(data); and i get a pop-up with all my data. The problem starts if i turn off alert(). Now it opens 2 dialogs. One containing only the table, without textarea, and the second one absolutely empty. What am i doing wrong here? How come all my data shows up in the alert(), but not in dialog? What do i need to do to fix it? Oh, and do i need to also include $.ajax() before the $.post()?   My goal: each time a user selects text, and clicks a button, that text gets added to an array. The problem: each time the button is pressed, the all objects of the array get overridden with the currently selected text. ' | '; } } ... since it results in something like this: 7 | WRG70 10 | 1 | 17.50 | 2 | QRG50 02 | 1 | 13.50 | But Now: How can I output the matching key (e.g. '2-1') as well? • I Need a Human Readable, Yet Parse-able Document Format

  I'm working on one of those projects where there are a million better ways to accomplish what I need but I have no choice and I have to do it this way. Here it is: There is a web form, when the user fills it out and hits a submit a human readable text file is created using the form data. It looks like this: field_1: value for field one field_2: value for field two more data for field two (field two has a newline in it!) field3: some more data My problem is this: I need to parse this text file back into the web form so that the user can edit it. How could I, in a foolproof way, accomplish this? A database is not an option, I have to use these text files. My Questions: Is there a foolproof way to do this using the format in the example above? What human readable format would work better (in other words I can change the format) Human readable means that a non programmer could read it and know what is what. This project uses PHP.

• Uninitialized array offset

  Hey everyone, I am using PHP to create a form with an array of fields. Basically you can add an unlimited number of 'people' to the form and each person has a first name, last name, and phone number. The form requires that you add a phone number for the first person only. If you leave the phone number field blank on any others, the handler file is supposed to be programmed to use the phone number from the first person. So, my fields are: person[] - a hidden field with a value that is this person's primary key. fname[] - an input field lname[] - an input field phone[] - an input field My form handler looks like this: $people = $_POST['person'] $counter = 0; foreach($people as $person): if($phone[$counter] == '') { // use $phone[0]'s phone number } else { // use $phone[$counter] number } $counter = $counter + 1; endforeach; PHP doesn't like this though, it is throwing me an Notice: Uninitialized string offset error. I debugged it by running the is_array function on people, fname, lname, and phone and it returns true to being an array. I can also manually echo out $phone[2], etc. and get the correct value. I've also ran is_int on the $counter variable and it returned true, so I'm unsure why this isn't working as intended? Any help would be great!

Many of the basic examples show static values ( $bob-name = "Robert";) when assigning a value, but I want to pass values... say from a form ( $name = $_POST['name']; ) class Person { // define properties public $name; public $weight; public $age; public function title() { echo $this->name . " has submitted a request "; } } $bob = new Person; // want to plug the value in here $bob->name = $name; $bob->title(); I guess I'm getting a little hung up in some areas as far as accessing variables from within the class, encapsulation & "rules", etc., can $name = $_POST['name']; reside anywhere outside of the class or am I missing an important point? • Auditing in Entity Framework.

  After going through Entity Framework I have a couple of questions on implementing auditing in Entity Framework. I want to store each column values that is created or updated to a different audit table. Rightnow I am calling SaveChanges(false) to save the records in the DB(still the changes in context is not reset). Then get the added | modified records and loop through the GetObjectStateEntries. • Foreach loop returning null values in PHP?

  Hello, I have a pretty simple problem. Basically I have an array called $list that is a list of titles. If I do a print_r($list) I get these results: Array ( [0] => Another New Title [1] => Awesome Movies and stuff [2] => Jascha's Title ) Now, I'm running a foreach loop to retrieve their values and format them in an <ul> like so... function get_film_list(){ global $categories; $list = $categories->get_film_list(); if(count($list)==0){ echo 'No films are in this category'; }else{ echo '<ul>'; foreach($list as $title){ echo '<li>' . $title . '<li>'; } echo '</ul>'; } } The problem I'm having is my loop is returning two values per value (is it the key value?) The result of the preceding function looks like this: Another New Title   Awesome Movies and stuff   Jascha's Title   I even tried: foreach($list as $key => $title){ echo '<li>' . $title .   I want to apply a CSS class to every textbox in my site: <div class="editor-label"> <label for="FoodType">FoodType</label> </div> <div class="editor-field"> <input id="HelpText" name="FoodType" type="text" value="" /> </div> <p> <input type="submit" value="Create" /> </p> And I thought, Hey! Easy. I'll add a jquery function to find them all in the masterpage. <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function(){ $('input').addClass('textbox'); } </script> Unfortunately this will also select the submit button. How can i only select input elements that have a text type attribute? Alternativly is this possible using entirely CSS?   Not sure how to go about this... But, I have two arrays, one with updated information, another with outdated information... There are a lot more elements in the second array, but I'm looking to "update" the outdated one with the updated information. Here's what the arrays look like: //Outdated Array ( [0] => Array ( [anum] => 3236468462 [cid] => 4899097762 [mid] => 1104881401 [na_title] => [na_fname] => JOHN [m_initial] => [na_lname] => DOE [na_suffix] => [na_addr1] => 1234 SAMPLE AVENUE [na_addr2] => [na_city] => NORWALK [state] => OH [zip] => [zip_plus_4] => [route] => R002 [dma_code] => 510334 ) ) //Updated Array ( [1] => Array ( [0] => YUD990 [1] => 98 [2] => 1234 Sample Avenue [3] => [4] => Norwalk [5] => OH [6] => 44857-9215 [7] => 3236468462 ) ) To clarify, I want to: (1) Match up the value for [7] from the updated array with the value for [anum] in the outdated array, and then update [na_addr1], [na_addr2], [na_city], [state], [zip], [zip_plus_4] in the outdated array with the values for [2],[3],[4],[5],[6] (I know I'll need to split the updated [6] in order to get it to map corrected to the outdated) Feel like I'm making this very confusing... sorry about that...

• Export database data to csv from view by date range asp.net mvc3

  I am trying to find a way to export data from my database and save it as a .csv file. Ideally the user will be able to select a date range on a view, which will display the data to be exported, then the user can click an "export to CSV" link. I've done quite a bit of searching and but have not found much specific enough to help me step through the process. Any help would be great. • R:how to get grep to return the match, rather than the whole string

  Hi, I have what is probably a really dumb grep in R question. Apologies, because this seems like it should be so easy - I'm obviously just missing something. I have a vector of strings, let's call it alice. Some of alice is printed out below: T.8EFF.SP.OT1.D5.VSVOVA#4 T.8EFF.SP.OT1.D6.LISOVA#1 T.8EFF.SP.OT1.D6.LISOVA#2 T.8EFF.SP.OT1.D6.LISOVA#3 T.8EFF.SP.OT1.D6.VSVOVA#4 T.8EFF.SP.OT1.D8.VSVOVA#3 T.8EFF.SP.OT1.D8.VSVOVA#4 T.8MEM.SP#1 T.8MEM.SP#3 T.8MEM.SP.OT1.D106.VSVOVA#2 T.8MEM.SP.OT1.D45.LISOVA#1 T.8MEM.SP.OT1.D45.LISOVA#3 I'd like grep to give me the number after the D that appears in some of these strings, conditional on the string containing "LIS" and an empty string or something otherwise. I was hoping that grep would return me the value of a capturing group rather than the whole string. Here's my R-flavoured regexp: pattern <- (?<=\\.D)([0-9]+)(?=.LIS) nothing too complicated. But in order to get what I'm after, rather than just using grep(pattern, alice, value = TRUE, perl = TRUE) I'm doing the following, which seems bad: reg.out <- regexpr( "(?<=\\.D)[0-9]+(?=.LIS)", alice, perl=TRUE ) substr(alice,reg.out,reg.out + attr(reg.out,"match.length")-1) Looking at it now it doesn't seem too ugly, but the amount of messing about it's taken to get this utterly trivial thing working has been embarrassing. Anyone any pointers about how to go about this properly? Bonus marks for pointing me to a webpage that explains the difference between whatever I access with $,@ and attr.

• I'm trying to use a regular expression to retrieve text from RichTextBox

  Hello! As the header is implying I'm trying to retrieve a certain line of numbers from a richtextbox and then put it into a separate textbox. I've tried this code below but it doesn't wanna work with me. It's probably way wrong and there's probably easier ways of doing it but I'm quite new to this stuff and I would appreciate all the help I can get in this matter.
