• Sending POST Requests without waiting for response?

  I am writing a simple REST service, which responds to requests from clients. All in PHP. My concern is, that when my server responds to a request, it could end up tying up resources if the client side is too slow in sending back "ok" response. How do I send a POST request via lib_curl setting it to not wait for any responses, but rather quit immidiately after the POST data have been sent? Is this even possible? Thank you !

  I have an RIA Service that returns image data (Byte[]) and caption of image (String) from SQL Server. The data part can sometimes be a few MB's so it can take quite a while to load. I would like to load the bytes independently of the caption (which loads very fast). Is there a way to do this without having to create a second image context?

However some of the values the API returned are "US/Pacific", "US/Eastern" and apparently don't match any of the Olson timezones in Rails 2.3.2. Can anyone shed some light on this? Still, I can't understand how to connect to my server: I see that the SQL service itself (SQLEXPRESS) is running in both in services.msc and Sql Server Configuration Manager I try to connect to it via the Management Studio, but I don't understand what to do.
