  • jquery-sortable using behavior of a linkedlist

    - by BabaBooey
    I suspect I'm not looking at this issue in the right way so here goes. I have essentially a LinkedList of data on a web page (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Linked_list) that I'd like to manipulate using traditional Linked List behavior (i.e. just updating the reference/id of the "next" object) for performance reasons. Where this gets a bit tricky is I'd ideally like to use Jquery's sortable to do this. Like the user would drag something up/down and I could just do an Ajax call to the server with the id of the object that moved and the new parent id of that object (and then behind the scenes I could figure out how to reconnect things..maybe need more data than that...). But every example I've seen where sortable is used they were sending the whole re-indexed list to the database to update which seems unnecessary to me. With a linked list to change an element's "index" I only need to make 3 updates which depending on the size of the list could be a big performance savings. Anyone have an example of what I'm trying to do...am I too far in left field?

  • CSS buttons and crossbrowser issue

    - by Jason
    I have a class 'button' that I want to use for button, input and a tags. The problem is that both button and input tags have a greater line height than the anchor tag does. I have attached an example here so you can play around with it in firebug or whatever. http://28dev.com/stackoverflow/css-buttons.html But for those who just want to see the css/html, here it is: .button { font-family : helvetica, arial, sans-serif; -moz-border-radius: 3px; -webkit-border-radius: 3px; background : url(/images/ui-bg_glass_75_e6e6e6_1x400.png) repeat-x scroll 50% 50% #E6E6E6; border-color : #636363 #888888 #888888 #636363; border-right : 1px solid #888888; border-style : solid; border-width : 1px; cursor : pointer; display : block; float : left; font-size : 12px; font-weight : normal; line-height : 100%; min-width : 100px; padding : 3px 12px; text-align : center; } .button, .button a { color : #282828; text-decoration : none; } .button:hover, .button:hover a { border-color : #343434; color : #080808; } .marginR { margin-right : 5px; } <button class='button marginR' type='submit'>button.button</button> <input type="submit" value="input.button" class="button marginR" /> <a class="button" href="">a.button</a>

  • Does NHibernate LINQ support ToLower() in Where() clauses?

    - by Daniel T.
    I have an entity and its mapping: public class Test { public virtual int Id { get; set; } public virtual string Name { get; set; } public virtual string Description { get; set; } } public class TestMap : EntityMap<Test> { public TestMap() { Id(x => x.Id); Map(x => x.Name); Map(x => x.Description); } } I'm trying to run a query on it (to grab it out of the database): var keyword = "test" // this is coming in from the user keyword = keyword.ToLower(); // convert it to all lower-case var results = session.Linq<Test> .Where(x => x.Name.ToLower().Contains(keyword)); results.Count(); // execute the query However, whenever I run this query, I get the following exception: Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection. Parameter name: index Am I right when I say that, currently, Linq to NHibernate does not support ToLower()? And if so, is there an alternative that allows me to search for a string in the middle of another string that Linq to NHibernate is compatible with? For example, if the user searches for kap, I need it to match Kapiolani, Makapuu, and Lapkap.

  • UITableViewCells of different heights place their accessoryViews at different X positions

    - by Jasarien
    Hey Guys, My app has some table cells that vary in height. The cells can also have a UIButton set to be a detail disclosure button (round, blue with arrow) as their accessory view. Depending on the height of the cell, the accessory view is positioned differently. At first I thought it was my layout code for my cell that was causing the problem, so I set up a quick independent test that uses vanilla UITableCells to remove the possibility that it could be my fault. I set up a view in interface builder, and just added a view table cells to the view, set their heights to different values and then added a detail disclosure button to each. Nothing more, nothing less. This is what I see: I added the size guides (thanks to Xscope) so you can see the difference in the accessory view x positions. The heights are: top 37px mid 68px bottom 44px (default, untouched height) If I increase the height any heigher than 68px the accessory view doesn't move any further to the left. Is this a bug? Is there any way I can prevent this from happening?

  • mEncrypt/Decrypt binary mp3 with mcrypt, missing mimetype

    - by Jeremy Dicaire
    I have a script that read a mp3 file and encrypt it, I want to be able to decrypt this file and convert it to base64 so it can play in html5. Key 1 will be stored on the page and static, key2 will be unique for each file, for testing I used: $key1 = md5(time()); $key2 = md5($key1.time()); Here is my encode php code : //Get file content $file = file_get_contents('test.mp3'); //Encrypt file $Encrypt = mcrypt_encrypt(MCRYPT_RIJNDAEL_256, $key1, $file, MCRYPT_MODE_CBC, $key2); $Encrypt = trim(base64_encode($Encrypt)); //Create new file $fileE = "test.mp3e"; $fileE = fopen($file64, 'w') or die("can't open file"); //Put crypted content fwrite($fileE, $Encrypt); //Close file fclose($fileE); Here is the code that doesnt work (decoded file is same size, but no mimetype): //Get file content $fileE = file_get_contents('test.mp3e'); //Decode $fileDecoded = base64_decode($fileE); //Decrypt file $Decrypt = mcrypt_decrypt(MCRYPT_RIJNDAEL_256, $key1, $fileDecoded, MCRYPT_MODE_CBC, $key2); $Decrypt = trim($Decrypt); //Create new file $file = "test.mp3"; $file = fopen($file, 'w') or die("can't open file"); //Put crypted content fwrite($file, $Decrypt); //Close file fclose($file);

  • javascript table sorting/paging (client-side). How big is too big?

    - by Aheho
    I'm using a jQuery plugin called Tablesorter to do client-side sorting of a log table in one of my applications. I am also making use of the tablepager add-in. I really like the responsiveness that client-side sorting and paging brings to the party. I also like how you don't have to hit the web server or database repeatedly. However I can see that, in time, the log I'm displaying could grow quite large. I'm sure there comes a point where client-side paging and sorting is going to be impractical. What point will this technique begin to collapse under it's own weight? 500 records? 2000 records? 10,000 records? EDIT: In nutshell, what criteria would you use to determine if you are going to use client-side sorting/paging as opposed to server-side paging? Does the size of expected result set factor into your decision? Where is the tipping point?

  • "Priming" a whole database in MSSQL for first-hit speed

    - by David Spillett
    For a particular apps I have a set of queries that I run each time the database has been restarted for any reason (server reboot usually). These "prime" SQL Server's page cache with the common core working set of the data so that the app is not unusually slow the first time a user logs in afterwards. One instance of the app is running on an over-specced arrangement where the SQL box has more RAM than the size of the database (4Gb in the machine, the DB is under 1.5Gb currently and unlikely to grow too much relative to that in the near future). Is there a neat/easy way of telling SQL Server to go away and load everything into RAM? It could be done the hard way by having a script scan sysobjects & sysindexes and running SELECT * FROM <table> WITH(INDEX(<index_name>)) ORDER BY <index_fields> for every key and index found, which should cause every used page to be read at least once and so be in RAM, but is there a cleaner or more efficient way? All planned instances where the database server is stopped are out-of-normal-working-hours (all the users are at most one timezone away and unlike me none of them work at silly hours) so such a process (until complete) slowing down users more than the working set not being primed at all would is not an issue.

  • What would be the time complexity of counting the number of all structurally different binary trees?

    - by ktslwy
    Using the method presented here: http://cslibrary.stanford.edu/110/BinaryTrees.html#java 12. countTrees() Solution (Java) /** For the key values 1...numKeys, how many structurally unique binary search trees are possible that store those keys? Strategy: consider that each value could be the root. Recursively find the size of the left and right subtrees. */ public static int countTrees(int numKeys) { if (numKeys <=1) { return(1); } else { // there will be one value at the root, with whatever remains // on the left and right each forming their own subtrees. // Iterate through all the values that could be the root... int sum = 0; int left, right, root; for (root=1; root<=numKeys; root++) { left = countTrees(root-1); right = countTrees(numKeys - root); // number of possible trees with this root == left*right sum += left*right; } return(sum); } } I have a sense that it might be n(n-1)(n-2)...1, i.e. n!

  • Grails - Recursive computing call "StackOverflowError" and don't update on show

    - by Kedare
    Hello, I have a little problem, I have made a Category domain on Grails, but I want to "cache" the string representation on the database by generating it when the representation field is empty or NULL (to avoid recursive queries at each toString), here is the code : package devkedare class Category { String title; String description; String representation; Date dateCreated; Date lastUpdate; Category parent; static constraints = { title(blank:false, nullable:false, size:2..100); description(blank:true, nullable:false); dateCreated(nullable:true); lastUpdate(nullable:true); autoTimestamp: true; } static hasMany = [childs:Category] @Override String toString() { if((!this.representation) || (this.representation == "")) { this.computeRepresentation(true) } return this.representation; } String computeRepresentation(boolean updateChilds) { if(updateChilds) { for(child in this.childs) { child.representation = child.computeRepresentation(true); } } if(this.parent) { this.representation = "${this.parent.computeRepresentation(false)}/${this.title}"; } else { this.representation = this.title } return this.representation; } void beforeUpdate() { this.computeRepresentation(true); } } There is 2 problems : It don't update the representation when the representation if NULL or empty and toString id called, it only update it on save, how to fix that ? On some category, updating it throw a StackOverflowError, here is an example of my actual category table as CSV : Uploaded the csv file here, pasting csv looks buggy: http://kedare.free.fr/Dist/01.csv Updating the representation works everywhere except on "IT" that throw a StackOverlowError (this is the only category that has many childs). Any idea of how can I fix those 2 problems ? Thank you !

  • Open source gravatar-like implementations?

    - by Tauren
    I'm already using gravatar icons for the users of my web service. However, I'm finding several problems with this approach: Only a small percentage of the users take the time to set up a gravatar profile. My users are not tech-savvy, but would be likely to add a dedicated photo to my site. Users of my service are encouraged to use images that depict them in proper uniform for the industry my service relates to. They wouldn't want that same picture to be used for personal purposes throughout the internet. They would not take the time or effort to manage a separate email address and gravatar account just to have an "in-uniform" profile photo for my service. Before I implement my own profile image feature, I was wondering if there are any open-source solutions that I could leverage with similar features to gravatar. Specifically: The ability to display any size thumbnail (up to 512px would be fine) Takes care of caching different sized thumbnails Has support for something like identicons, preferably pluggable with different style algorithms (monsters, etc.), even better if I can customize these Ability to fall-back to gravatar if no photo found Does anything like this exist? I haven't found it yet if it does.

  • How to count term frequency for set of documents?

    - by ManBugra
    i have a Lucene-Index with following documents: doc1 := { caldari, jita, shield, planet } doc2 := { gallente, dodixie, armor, planet } doc3 := { amarr, laser, armor, planet } doc4 := { minmatar, rens, space } doc5 := { jove, space, secret, planet } so these 5 documents use 14 different terms: [ caldari, jita, shield, planet, gallente, dodixie, armor, amarr, laser, minmatar, rens, jove, space, secret ] the frequency of each term: [ 1, 1, 1, 4, 1, 1, 2, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 2, 1 ] for easy reading: [ caldari:1, jita:1, shield:1, planet:4, gallente:1, dodixie:1, armor:2, amarr:1, laser:1, minmatar:1, rens:1, jove:1, space:2, secret:1 ] What i do want to know now is, how to obtain the term frequency vector for a set of documents? for example: Set<Documents> docs := [ doc2, doc3 ] termFrequencies = magicFunction(docs); System.out.pring( termFrequencies ); would result in the ouput: [ caldari:0, jita:0, shield:0, planet:2, gallente:1, dodixie:1, armor:2, amarr:1, laser:1, minmatar:0, rens:0, jove:0, space:0, secret:0 ] remove all zeros: [ planet:2, gallente:1, dodixie:1, armor:2, amarr:1, laser:1 ] Notice, that the result vetor contains only the term frequencies of the set of documents. NOT the overall frequencies of the whole index! The term 'planet' is present 4 times in the whole index but the source set of documents only contains it 2 times. A naive implementation would be to just iterate over all documents in the docs set, create a map and count each term. But i need a solution that would also work with a document set size of 100.000 or 500.000. Is there a feature in Lucene i can use to obtain this term vector? If there is no such feature, how would a data structure look like someone can create at index time to obtain such a term vector easily and fast? I'm not that Lucene expert so i'am sorry if the solution is obvious or trivial.

  • Disable chaching in JPA (eclipselink)

    - by James
    Hi, I want to use JPA (eclipselink) to get data from my database. The database is changed by a number of other sources and I therefore want to go back to the database for every find I execute. I have read a number of posts on disabling the cache but this does not seem to be working. Any ideas? I am trying to execute the following code: EntityManagerFactory entityManagerFactory = Persistence.createEntityManagerFactory("default"); EntityManager em = entityManagerFactory.createEntityManager(); MyLocation one = em.createNamedQuery("MyLocation.findMyLoc").getResultList().get(0); MyLocation two = em.createNamedQuery("MyLocation.findMyLoc").getResultList().get(0); System.out.println(one==two); one==two is true while I want it to be false. I have tried adding each/all the following to my persistence.xml <property name="eclipselink.cache.shared.default" value="false"/> <property name="eclipselink.cache.size.default" value="0"/> <property name="eclipselink.cache.type.default" value="None"/> I have also tried adding the @Cache annotation to the Entity itself: @Cache( type=CacheType.NONE, // Cache nothing expiry=0, alwaysRefresh=true ) Am I misunderstanding something? Thank you, James

  • Looking for advice on importing large dataset in sqlite and Cocoa/Objective-C

    - by jluckyiv
    I have a fairly large hierarchical dataset I'm importing. The total size of the database after import is about 270MB in sqlite. My current method works, but I know I'm hogging memory as I do it. For instance, if I run with Zombies, my system freezes up (although it will execute just fine if I don't use that Instrument). I was hoping for some algorithm advice. I have three hierarchical tables comprising about 400,000 records. The highest level has about 30 records, the next has about 20,000, the last has the balance. Right now, I'm using nested for loops to import. I know I'm creating an unreasonably large object graph, but I'm also looking to serialize to JSON or XML because I want to break up the records into downloadable chunks for the end user to import a la carte. I have the code written to do the serialization, but I'm wondering if I can serialize the object graph if I only have pieces in memory. Here's pseudocode showing the basic process for sqlite import. I left out the unnecessary detail. [database open]; [database beginTransaction]; NSArray *firstLevels = [[FirstLevel fetchFromURL:url retain]; for (FirstLevel *firstLevel in firstLevels) { [firstLevel save]; int id1 = [firstLevel primaryKey]; NSArray *secondLevels = [[SecondLevel fetchFromURL:url] retain]; for (SecondLevel *secondLevel in secondLevels) { [secondLevel saveWithForeignKey:id1]; int id2 = [secondLevel primaryKey]; NSArray *thirdLevels = [[ThirdLevel fetchFromURL:url] retain]; for (ThirdLevel *thirdLevel in thirdLevels) { [thirdLevel saveWithForeignKey:id2]; } [database commit]; [database beginTransaction]; [thirdLevels release]; } [secondLevels release]; } [database commit]; [database release]; [firstLevels release];

  • Centering a div block without the width

    - by Vinicius
    Hi, I have a problem when I try to center the div block "products" because I don't know in advance the div width. Anybody have a solution? Update: The problem I have is I don't know how many products I'll display, I can have 1, 2 or 3 products, I can center them if it was a fixed number as I'd know the width of the parent div, I just don't know how to do it when the content is dynamic. <style> .product_container { text-align: center; height: 150px; } .products { height: 140px; text-align: center; margin: 0 auto; clear: ccc both; } .price { margin: 6px 2px; width: 137px; color: #666; font-size: 14pt; font-style: normal; border: 1px solid #CCC; background-color: #EFEFEF; } </style> <div class="product_container"> <div class="products" id="products"> <div id="product_15"> <img src="/images/ecommerce/card_default.png"> <div class="price">R$ 0,01</div> </div> <div id="product_15"> <img src="/images/ecommerce/card_default.png"> <div class="price">R$ 0,01</div> </div> <div id="product_15"> <img src="/images/ecommerce/card_default.png"> <div class="price">R$ 0,01</div> </div> </div> </div>

  • Customize a WCF RIA Services Endpoint

    Is it possible to customize the parameters of a WCF RIA Services endpoint? Specifically, I would like to create a custom binding for the endpoint and increase the maxReceivedMessageSize to allow sending the contents of a file that is a few megabytes in size. • Optimize GROUP BY&ORDER BY query

    - by Jan Hancic
    I have a web page where users upload&watch videos. Last week I asked what is the best way to track video views so that I could display the most viewed videos this week (videos from all dates). Now I need some help optimizing a query with which I get the videos from the database. The relevant tables are this: video (~239371 rows) VID(int), UID(int), title(varchar), status(enum), type(varchar), is_duplicate(enum), is_adult(enum), channel_id(tinyint) signup (~115440 rows) UID(int), username(varchar) videos_views (~359202 rows after 6 days of collecting data, so this table will grow rapidly) videos_id(int), views_date(date), num_of_views(int) The table video holds the videos, signup hodls users and videos_views holds data about video views (each video can have one row per day in that table). I have this query that does the trick, but takes ~10s to execute, and I imagine this will only get worse over time as the videos_views table grows in size. SELECT v.VID, v.title, v.vkey, v.duration, v.addtime, v.UID, v.viewnumber, v.com_num, v.rate, v.THB, s.username, SUM(vvt.num_of_views) AS tmp_num FROM video v LEFT JOIN videos_views vvt ON v.VID = vvt.videos_id LEFT JOIN signup s on v.UID = s.UID WHERE v.status = 'Converted' AND v.type = 'public' AND v.is_duplicate = '0' AND v.is_adult = '0' AND v.channel_id <> 10 AND vvt.views_date >= '2001-05-11' GROUP BY vvt.videos_id ORDER BY tmp_num DESC LIMIT 8 And here is a screenshot of the EXPLAIN result: So, how can I optimize this?

  • Can't read some attributes with SAX

    - by akappa
    Hi all, I'm trying to parse that document with SAX: <scxml version="1.0" initialstate="start" name="calc"> <datamodel> <data id="expr" expr="0" /> <data id="res" expr="0" /> </datamodel> <state id="start"> <transition event="OPER" target="opEntered" /> <transition event="DIGIT" target="operand" /> </state> <state id="operand"> <transition event="OPER" target="opEntered" /> <transition event="DIGIT" /> </state> </scxml> I read all the attributes well, except "initialstate" and "name"... I get the attributes with the startElement handler, but the size of the attribute list for scxml is zero. Why? How I can overcome that problem? Edit: public void startElement(String uri, String localName, String qName, Attributes attributes){ System.out.println(attributes.getValue("initialstate")); System.out.println(attributes.getValue("name")); } that, when parsing the first tag, doesn't work (prints "null" two times). In fact, attributes.getLength(); evaluates to zero. Thanks

  • Binary search in a sorted (memory-mapped ?) file in Java

    - by sds
    I am struggling to port a Perl program to Java, and learning Java as I go. A central component of the original program is a Perl module that does string prefix lookups in a +500 GB sorted text file using binary search (essentially, "seek" to a byte offset in the middle of the file, backtrack to nearest newline, compare line prefix with the search string, "seek" to half/double that byte offset, repeat until found...) I have experimented with several database solutions but found that nothing beats this in sheer lookup speed with data sets of this size. Do you know of any existing Java library that implements such functionality? Failing that, could you point me to some idiomatic example code that does random access reads in text files? Alternatively, I am not familiar with the new (?) Java I/O libraries but would it be an option to memory-map the 500 GB text file (I'm on a 64-bit machine with memory to spare) and do binary search on the memory-mapped byte array? I would be very interested to hear any experiences you have to share about this and similar problems.

  • Execute code on assembly load

    - by Dmitriy Matveev
    I'm working on wrapper for some huge unmanaged library. Almost every of it's functions can call some error handler deeply inside. The default error handler writes error to console and calls abort() function. This behavior is undesirable for managed library, so I want to replace the default error handler with my own which will just throw some exception and let program continue normal execution after handling of this exception. The error handler must be changed before any of the wrapped functions will be called. The wrapper library is written in managed c++ with static linkage to wrapped library, so nothing like "a type with hundreds of dll imports" is present. I also can't find a single type which is used by everything inside wrapper library. So I can't solve that problem by defining static constructor in one single type which will execute code I need. I currently see two ways of solving that problem: Define some static method like Library.Initialize() which must be called one time by client before his code will use any part of the wrapper library. Find the most minimal subset of types which is used by every top-level function (I think the size of this subset will be something like 25-50 types) and add static constructors calling Library.Initialize (which will be internal in that scenario) to every of these types. I've read this and this questions, but they didn't helped me. Is there any proper ways of solving that problem? Maybe some nice hacks available?

  • Wanted to know in detail about how shared libraries work vis-a-vis static library.

    - by goldenmean
    Hello, I am working on creating and linking shared library (.so). While working with them, many questions popped up which i could not find satisying answers when i searched for them, hence putting them here. The questions about shared libraries i have are: 1.) How is shared library different than static library? What are the Key differences in way they are created, they execute? 2.) In case of a shared library at what point are the addresses where a particular function in shared library will be loaded and run from, given? Who gives those functions is load/run addresses? 3.) Will an application linked against shared library be slower in execution as compared to that which is linked with a static library? 4.) Will application executable size differ in these two cases? 5.) Can one do source level debugging of by stepping into functions defined inside a shared library? Is any thing extra needed to make these functions visible to the application? 6.) What are pros and cons in using either kind of library? Thanks. -AD

  • Avoiding GC thrashing with WSE 3.0 MTOM service

    - by Leon Breedt
    For historical reasons, I have some WSE 3.0 web services that I cannot upgrade to WCF on the server side yet (it is also a substantial amount of work to do so). These web services are being used for file transfers from client to server, using MTOM encoding. This can also not be changed in the short term, for reasons of compatibility. Secondly, they are being called from both Java and .NET, and therefore need to be cross-platform, hence MTOM. How it works is that an "upload" WebMethod is called by the client, sending up a chunk of data at a time, since files being transferred could potentially be gigabytes in size. However, due to not being able to control parts of the stack before the WebMethod is invoked, I cannot control the memory usage patterns of the web service. The problem I am running into is for file sizes from 50MB or so onwards, performance is absolutely killed because of GC, since it appears that WSE 3.0 buffers each chunk received from the client in a new byte[] array, and by the time we've done 50MB we're spending 20-30% of time doing GC. I've played with various chunk sizes, from 16k to 2MB, with no real great difference in results. Smaller chunks are killed by the latency involved with round-tripping, and larger chunks just postpone the slowdown until GC kicks in. Any bright ideas on cutting down on the garbage created by WSE? Can I plug into the pipeline somehow and jury-rig something that has access to the client's request stream and streams it to the WebMethod? I'm aware that it is possible to "stream" responses to the client using WSE (albeit very ugly), but this problem is with requests from the client.

    - by ctp
    I'm coding on a simple HTTP crawler but I have an issue running the code at the bottom. I'm requesting 50 URLs and get the content of 20+ back. I've generated few files with 150kB size each to test the crawler. So I think the 20+ responses are limited by the bandwidth? BUT: how to tell the Erlang snippet not to quit until the last file is not fetched? The test data server is online, so plz try the code out and any hints are welcome :) -module(crawler). -define(BASE_URL, "http://46.4.117.69/"). -export([start/0, send_reqs/0, do_send_req/1]). start() -> ibrowse:start(), proc_lib:spawn(?MODULE, send_reqs, []). to_url(Id) -> ?BASE_URL ++ integer_to_list(Id). fetch_ids() -> lists:seq(1, 50). send_reqs() -> spawn_workers(fetch_ids()). spawn_workers(Ids) -> lists:foreach(fun do_spawn/1, Ids). do_spawn(Id) -> proc_lib:spawn_link(?MODULE, do_send_req, [Id]). do_send_req(Id) -> io:format("Requesting ID ~p ... ~n", [Id]), Result = (catch ibrowse:send_req(to_url(Id), [], get, [], [], 10000)), case Result of {ok, Status, _H, B} -> io:format("OK -- ID: ~2..0w -- Status: ~p -- Content length: ~p~n", [Id, Status, length(B)]); Err -> io:format("ERROR -- ID: ~p -- Error: ~p~n", [Id, Err]) end. That's the output: Requesting ID 1 ... Requesting ID 2 ... Requesting ID 3 ... Requesting ID 4 ... Requesting ID 5 ... Requesting ID 6 ... Requesting ID 7 ... Requesting ID 8 ... Requesting ID 9 ... Running the crawler forks fine for a handful of files, but then the code even doesnt fetch the entire files (file size each 150000 bytes) - he crawler fetches some files partially, see the following web server log :( 82.114.62.14 - - [13/Sep/2012:15:17:00 +0200] "GET /10 HTTP/1.1" 200 150000 "-" "-" 82.114.62.14 - - [13/Sep/2012:15:17:00 +0200] "GET /1 HTTP/1.1" 200 150000 "-" "-" 82.114.62.14 - - [13/Sep/2012:15:17:00 +0200] "GET /3 HTTP/1.1" 200 150000 "-" "-" 82.114.62.14 - - [13/Sep/2012:15:17:00 +0200] "GET /8 HTTP/1.1" 200 150000 "-" "-" 82.114.62.14 - - [13/Sep/2012:15:17:00 +0200] "GET /39 HTTP/1.1" 200 150000 "-" "-" 82.114.62.14 - - [13/Sep/2012:15:17:00 +0200] "GET /7 HTTP/1.1" 200 150000 "-" "-" 82.114.62.14 - - [13/Sep/2012:15:17:00 +0200] "GET /6 HTTP/1.1" 200 150000 "-" "-" 82.114.62.14 - - [13/Sep/2012:15:17:00 +0200] "GET /2 HTTP/1.1" 200 150000 "-" "-" 82.114.62.14 - - [13/Sep/2012:15:17:00 +0200] "GET /5 HTTP/1.1" 200 150000 "-" "-" 82.114.62.14 - - [13/Sep/2012:15:17:00 +0200] "GET /50 HTTP/1.1" 200 150000 "-" "-" 82.114.62.14 - - [13/Sep/2012:15:17:00 +0200] "GET /9 HTTP/1.1" 200 150000 "-" "-" 82.114.62.14 - - [13/Sep/2012:15:17:00 +0200] "GET /44 HTTP/1.1" 200 150000 "-" "-" 82.114.62.14 - - [13/Sep/2012:15:17:00 +0200] "GET /38 HTTP/1.1" 200 150000 "-" "-" 82.114.62.14 - - [13/Sep/2012:15:17:00 +0200] "GET /47 HTTP/1.1" 200 150000 "-" "-" 82.114.62.14 - - [13/Sep/2012:15:17:00 +0200] "GET /49 HTTP/1.1" 200 150000 "-" "-" 82.114.62.14 - - [13/Sep/2012:15:17:00 +0200] "GET /43 HTTP/1.1" 200 150000 "-" "-" 82.114.62.14 - - [13/Sep/2012:15:17:00 +0200] "GET /37 HTTP/1.1" 200 150000 "-" "-" 82.114.62.14 - - [13/Sep/2012:15:17:00 +0200] "GET /46 HTTP/1.1" 200 150000 "-" "-" 82.114.62.14 - - [13/Sep/2012:15:17:00 +0200] "GET /48 HTTP/1.1" 200 150000 "-" "-" 82.114.62.14 - - [13/Sep/2012:15:17:00 +0200] "GET /36 HTTP/1.1" 200 150000 "-" "-" 82.114.62.14 - - [13/Sep/2012:15:17:01 +0200] "GET /42 HTTP/1.1" 200 150000 "-" "-" 82.114.62.14 - - [13/Sep/2012:15:17:01 +0200] "GET /41 HTTP/1.1" 200 150000 "-" "-" 82.114.62.14 - - [13/Sep/2012:15:17:01 +0200] "GET /45 HTTP/1.1" 200 150000 "-" "-" 82.114.62.14 - - [13/Sep/2012:15:17:01 +0200] "GET /17 HTTP/1.1" 200 150000 "-" "-" 82.114.62.14 - - [13/Sep/2012:15:17:01 +0200] "GET /35 HTTP/1.1" 200 150000 "-" "-" 82.114.62.14 - - [13/Sep/2012:15:17:01 +0200] "GET /16 HTTP/1.1" 200 150000 "-" "-" 82.114.62.14 - - [13/Sep/2012:15:17:01 +0200] "GET /15 HTTP/1.1" 200 17020 "-" "-" 82.114.62.14 - - [13/Sep/2012:15:17:01 +0200] "GET /21 HTTP/1.1" 200 120360 "-" "-" 82.114.62.14 - - [13/Sep/2012:15:17:01 +0200] "GET /40 HTTP/1.1" 200 117600 "-" "-" 82.114.62.14 - - [13/Sep/2012:15:17:01 +0200] "GET /34 HTTP/1.1" 200 60660 "-" "-" Any hints are welcome.   • Changing CSS height property removes anchors?

    - by JMan
    I am working on a standard header/navigation for my website. I started with having a CSS "height" value of 100% for the html, body elements but this resulted in the wrong layout. However, when I change the CSS height property from "100%" to "auto", the layout is correct, but I lose the anchors in the navigation. Why is this? Here's my CSS: html,body { height: auto; /* This is the only property that I'm toggling */ margin: 0; } body { margin: 0; min-width: 978px; font: 12px/16px Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; color: #000; background: #000001 url('../images/bg-body.jpg') no-repeat 50% 0; } #nav { position: relative; float: left; margin: 0; padding: 0 2px 0 271px; list-style: none; background: url('../images/sep-nav.gif') no-repeat 100% 0; } #nav li { float: left; padding: 11px 0 0 2px; height: 35px; width: 128px; line-height: 22px; font-size: 18px; text-align: center; background: url('../images/sep-nav.gif') no-repeat 0 -1px; display: inline; } #nav li a {color: #FFFEFE;} ..... I compared the computed CSS in Firebug when the html, body height property was set to "auto" vs. "100%" and they were the same. Can somebody please shed some light on how retain the anchors in the navigation while setting height to "auto"? Thanks for your help.

  • Getting value of "i" from GEvent

    - by Cosizzle
    Hello, I'm trying to add an event listener to each icon on the map when it's pressed. I'm storing the information in the database and the value that I'm wanting to retrive is "i" however when I output "i", I get it's last value which is 5 (there are 6 objects being drawn onto the map) Below is the code, what would be the best way to get the value of i, and not the object itself. var drawLotLoc = function(id) { var lotLoc = new GIcon(G_DEFAULT_ICON); // create icon object lotLoc.image = url+"images/markers/lotLocation.gif"; // set the icon image lotLoc.shadow = ""; // no shadow lotLoc.iconSize = new GSize(24, 24); // set the size var markerOptions = { icon: lotLoc }; $.post(opts.postScript, {action: 'drawlotLoc', id: id}, function(data) { var markers = new Array(); // lotLoc[x].description // lotLoc[x].lat // lotLoc[x].lng // lotLoc[x].nighbourhood // lotLoc[x].lot var lotLoc = $.evalJSON(data); for(var i=0; i<lotLoc.length; i++) { var spLat = parseFloat(lotLoc[i].lat); var spLng = parseFloat(lotLoc[i].lng); var latlng = new GLatLng(spLat, spLng) markers[i] = new GMarker(latlng, markerOptions); myMap.addOverlay(markers[i]); GEvent.addListener(markers[i], "click", function() { console.log(i); // returning 5 in all cases. // I _need_ this to be unique to the object being clicked. console.log(this); }); } });
