  • Facelet selectOneMenu with POJOs and converter problem

    - by c0d3x
    Hi, I want to have a facelet page with a formular and a dropdown menu. With the dropdown menu the user shoul select a POJO of the type Lieferant: public class Lieferant extends AbstractPersistentWarenwirtschaftsObject { private String firma; public Lieferant(WarenwirtschaftDatabaseLayer database, String firma) { this(database, null, firma); } public Lieferant(WarenwirtschaftDatabaseLayer database, Long primaryKey, String firma) { super(database, primaryKey); this.firma = firma; } public String getFirma() { return firma; } @Override public String toString() { return getFirma(); } @Override public int hashCode() { final int prime = 31; int result = 1; result = prime * result + ((firma == null) ? 0 : firma.hashCode()); return result; } @Override public boolean equals(Object obj) { if (this == obj) return true; if (obj == null) return false; if (getClass() != obj.getClass()) return false; Lieferant other = (Lieferant) obj; if (firma == null) { if (other.firma != null) return false; } else if (!firma.equals(other.firma)) return false; return true; } } Here is the facelet code that I wrote: <h:selectOneMenu> tag. This tag should display a list of POJOs (not beans) of the type Lieferant. Here is the facelet code: <h:selectOneMenu id="lieferant" value="#{lieferantenBestellungBackingBean.lieferant}"> <f:selectItems var="lieferant" value="#{lieferantenBackingBean.lieferanten}" itemLabel="#{lieferant.firma}" itemValue="#{lieferant.primaryKey}" /> <f:converter converterId="LieferantConverter" /> </h:selectOneMenu> Here is the refenrenced managed backing bean @ManagedBean @RequestScoped public class LieferantenBackingBean extends AbstractWarenwirtschaftsBackingBean { private List<Lieferant> lieferanten; public List<Lieferant> getLieferanten() { if (lieferanten == null) { lieferanten = getApplication().getLieferanten(); } return lieferanten; } } As far as I know, I need a custom converter, to swap beetween POJO and String representations of the Lieferant objects. Here is what the converter looks like: @FacesConverter(value="LieferantConverter") public class LieferantConverter implements Converter { @Override public Object getAsObject(FacesContext context, UIComponent component, String value) { long primaryKey = Long.parseLong(value); WarenwirtschaftApplicationLayer application = WarenwirtschaftApplication.getInstance(); Lieferant lieferant = application.getLieferant(primaryKey); return lieferant; } @Override public String getAsString(FacesContext context, UIComponent component, Object value) { return value.toString(); } } The page loads without any error. When I fill out the formular and submit it, there is an error message displayed on the page: Bestellung:lieferantenBestellungForm:lieferant: Validierungsfehler: Wert ist keine gültige Auswahl translated: validation error: value is not a valid selection Unfortunaltely it does not say which value it is talking about. The converter seems to work correctly. I found this similar question from stackoverflow and this article about selectOneMenu and converters, but I was not able to find the problem in my code. Why is List<SelectItem> used in the example from the second link. Gives the same error for me. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

  • Need to hide displayed div when I show others

    - by adrian collins
    I am stuck. I have a page with 3 buttons, the 3 buttons do a couple things - they change the style of a div, and they also show/hide a content div. The changing of the div style works fine, but I am having issues with the content div. If you land on the page and click the "Our Brands" tab, then click the other 2 tabs, it works fine. If you land on the page, and click "What's New" or "About Us" first, then the show/hide does not work correctly - it does not until you actually click on "Our Brands." http://www.adriancollins.net/clients/kennys/ Any help would be appreciated, I am a designer first, a developer about 9000th. Show/Hide Code <script type="text/javascript"> var _hidediv = null; function showdiv(id) { if(_hidediv) _hidediv(); var div = document.getElementById(id); div.style.display = 'block'; _hidediv = function () { div.style.display = 'none'; }; } </script> Tab Divs <div id="brand_button"><a href="#" onClick="showdiv('brands_content'); lower.className='blue';angle.className='blue_angle';return false"><img src="wp-content/uploads/2012/10/brands_button.png"></a></div> <div id="whatsnew_button"><a href="#" onClick="showdiv('new_content');lower.className='black';angle.className='black_angle';return false"><img src="wp-content/uploads/2012/10/whatsnew_button.png"></a></div> <div id="about_button"><a href="#" onClick="showdiv('about_content');lower.className='green';angle.className='green_angle';return false"><img src="wp-content/uploads/2012/10/about_button.png"></a></div> Content Divs <div id="brands_content">Content...</div> <div id="whats_content">Content...</div> <div id="about_content">Content...</div> CSS #brands_content { position: relative; display: block; width: 990px; top: 10px; height: auto; min-height: 800px; margin-left: auto; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; border: 0px; padding: 0px 0px 0px 0px; z-index: 12; } #new_content { position: relative; display: none; width: 990px; top: 10px; height: auto; min-height: 800px; margin-left: auto; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; border: 0px; padding: 0px 0px 0px 0px; z-index: 999; color: #fff; } #about_content { position: relative; display: none; width: 990px; top: 10px; height: auto; min-height: 800px; margin-left: auto; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; border: 0px; padding: 0px 0px 0px 0px; z-index: 999; } Thanks

  • Trouble with client side validation using Struts 2. Xml based validation rules not recognized.

    - by Kartik
    Hi, This is my first post to ask a question on stack overflow and my issue is that when I don't see a client side validation error message when I don't enter any values for that field even when it is configured as required. The input page is reloaded but no error message is seen. I am not sure what I am doing wrong. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. My scenario is given below: I have a simple form where I have a pull down menu called selection criterion. A value must be selected. If a value is not selected, then the page should reload with configured error message. • The backbone router isn't working properly

    - by user2473588
    I'm building a simple backbone app that have 4 routes: home, about, privacy and terms. But after setting the routes I have 3 problems: The "terms" view isn't rendering; When I refresh the #about or the #privacy page, the home view renders after the #about/#privacy view When I hit the back button the home view never renders. For example, if I'm in the #about page, and I hit the back button to the homepage, the about view stays in the page I don't know what I'm doing wrong about the 1st problem. I think that the 2nd and 3rd problem are related with something missing in the home router, but I don't know what is. Here is my code: HTML <section class="feed"> <script id="homeTemplate" type="text/template"> <div class="home"> </div> </script> <script id="termsTemplate" type="text/template"> <div class="terms"> Bla bla bla bla </div> </script> <script id="privacyTemplate" type="text/template"> <div class="privacy"> Bla bla bla bla </div> </script> <script id="aboutTemplate" type="text/template"> <div class="about"> Bla bla bla bla </div> </script> </section> The views app.HomeListView = Backbone.View.extend({ el: '.feed', initialize: function ( initialbooks ) { this.collection = new app.BookList (initialbooks); this.render(); }, render: function() { this.collection.each(function( item ){ this.renderHome( item ); }, this); }, renderHome: function ( item ) { var bookview = new app.BookView ({ model: item }) this.$el.append( bookview.render().el ); } }); app.BookView = Backbone.View.extend ({ tagName: 'div', className: 'home', template: _.template( $( '#homeTemplate' ).html()), render: function() { this.$el.html(this.template(this.model.toJSON())); return this; } }); app.AboutView = Backbone.View.extend({ tagName: 'div', className: 'about', initialize:function () { this.render(); }, template: _.template( $( '#aboutTemplate' ).html()), render: function () { this.$el.html(this.template()); return this; } }); app.PrivacyView = Backbone.View.extend ({ tagName: 'div', className: 'privacy', initialize: function() { this.render(); }, template: _.template( $('#privacyTemplate').html() ), render: function () { this.$el.html(this.template()); return this; } }); app.TermsView = Backbone.View.extend ({ tagName: 'div', className: 'terms', initialize: function () { this.render(); }, template: _.template ( $( '#termsTemplate' ).html() ), render: function () { this.$el.html(this.template()), return this; } }); And the router: var AppRouter = Backbone.Router.extend({ routes: { '' : 'home', 'about' : 'about', 'privacy' : 'privacy', 'terms' : 'terms' }, home: function () { if (!this.homeListView) { this.homeListView = new app.HomeListView(); }; }, about: function () { if (!this.aboutView) { this.aboutView = new app.AboutView(); }; $('.feed').html(this.aboutView.el); }, privacy: function () { if (!this.privacyView) { this.privacyView = new app.PrivacyView(); }; $('.feed').html(this.privacyView.el); }, terms: function () { if (!this.termsView) { this.termsView = new app.TermsView(); }; $('.feed').html(this.termsView.el); } }) app.Router = new AppRouter(); Backbone.history.start(); I'm missing something but I don't know what.   • Creating an element and insertBefore is not working...

    - by sologhost
    Ok, I've been banging my head up against the wall on this and I have no clue why it isn't creating the element. Maybe something very small that I overlooked here. Basically, there is this Javascript code that is in a PHP document being outputted, like somewhere in the middle of when the page gets loaded, NOW, unfortunately it can't go into the header. Though I'm not sure that that is the problem anyways, but perhaps it is... hmmmmm. // Setting the variables needed to be set. echo ' <script type="text/javascript" src="' . $settings['default_theme_url'] . '/scripts/dpShoutbox.js"></script>'; echo ' <script type="text/javascript"> var refreshRate = ', $params['refresh_rate'], '; createEventListener(window); window.addEventListener("load", loadShouts, false); function loadShouts() { var alldivs = document.getElementsByTagName(\'div\'); var shoutCount = 0; var divName = "undefined"; for (var i = 0; i<alldivs.length; i++) { var is_counted = 0; divName = alldivs[i].getAttribute(\'name\'); if (divName.indexOf(\'dp_Reserved_Shoutbox\') < 0 && divName.indexOf(\'dp_Reserved_Counted\') < 0) continue; else if(divName == "undefined") continue; else { if (divName.indexOf(\'dp_Reserved_Counted\') == 0) { is_counted = 0; shoutCount++; continue; } else { shoutCount++; is_counted = 1; } } // Empty out the name attr. alldivs[i].name = \'dp_Reserved_Counted\'; var shoutId = \'shoutbox_area\' + shoutCount; // Build the div to be inserted. var shoutHolder = document.createElement(\'div\'); shoutHolder.setAttribute(\'id\', [shoutId]); shoutHolder.setAttribute(\'class\', \'dp_control_flow\'); shoutHolder.style.cssText = \'padding-right: 6px;\'; alldivs[i].parentNode.insertBefore(shoutHolder, alldivs[i]); if (is_counted == 1) { startShouts(refreshRate, shoutId); break; } } } </script>'; Also, I'm sure the other functions that I'm linking to within these functions work just fine. The problem here is that within this function, the div never gets created at all and I can't understand why? Furthermore Firefox, FireBug is telling me that the variable divName is undefined, even though I have attempted to take care of this within the function, though not sure why. Anyways, I need the created div element to be inserted just before the following HTML: echo ' <div name="dp_Reserved_Shoutbox" style="padding-bottom: 9px;"></div>'; I'm using name here instead of id because I don't want duplicate id values which is why I'm changing the name value and incrementing, since this function may be called more than 1 time. For example if there are 3 shoutboxes on the same page (Don't ask why...lol), I need to skip the other names that I already changed to "dp_Reserved_Counted", which I believe I am doing correctly. In any case, if I could I would place this into the header and have it called just once, but this isn't possible as these are loaded and no way of telling which one's they are, so it's directly hard-coded into the actual output on the page of where the shoutbox is within the HTML. Basically, not sure if that is the problem or not, but there must be some sort of work-around, unless the problem is within my code above... arrg Please help me. Thanks :)

  • Why don't I just build the whole web app in Javascript and Javascript HTML Templates?

    - by viatropos
    I'm getting to the point on an app where I need to start caching things, and it got me thinking... In some parts of the app, I render table rows (jqGrid, slickgrid, etc.) or fancy div rows (like in the New Twitter) by grabbing pure JSON and running it through something like Mustache, jquery.tmpl, etc. In other parts of the app, I just render the info in pure HTML (server-side HAML templates), and if there's searching/paginating, I just go to a new URL and load a new HTML page. Now the problem is in caching and maintainability. On one hand I'm thinking, if everything was built using Javascript HTML Templates, then my app would serve just an HTML layout/shell, and a bunch of JSON. If you look at the Facebook and Twitter HTML source, that's basically what they're doing (95% json/javascript, 5% html). This would make it so my app only needed to cache JSON (pages, actions, and/or records). Which means you'd hit the cache no matter if you were some remote api developer accessing a JSON api, or the strait web app. That is, I don't need 2 caches, one for the JSON, one for the HTML. That seems like it'd cut my cache store down in half, and streamline things a little bit. On the other hand, I'm thinking, from what I've seen/experienced, generating static HTML server-side, and caching that, seems to be much better performance wise cross-browser; you get the graphics instantly and don't have to wait that split-second for javascript to render it. StackOverflow seems to do everything in plain HTML, and you can tell... everything appears at once. Notice how though on twitter.com, the page is blank for .5-1 seconds, and the page chunks in: the javascript has to render the json. The downside with this is that, for anything dynamic (like endless scrolling, or grids), I'd have to create javascript templates anyway... so now I have server-side HAML templates, client-side javascript templates, and a lot more to cache. My question is, is there any consensus on how to approach this? What are the benefits and drawbacks from your experience of mixing the two versus going 100% with one over the other? Update: Some reasons that factor into why I haven't yet made the decision to go with 100% javascript templating are: Performance. Haven't formally tested, but from what I've seen, raw html renders faster and more fluidly than javascript-generated html cross-browser. Plus, I'm not sure how mobile devices handle dynamic html performance-wise. Testing. I have a lot of integration tests that work well with static HTML, so switching to javascript-only would require 1) more focused pure-javascript testing (jasmine), and 2) integrating javascript into capybara integration tests. This is just a matter of time and work, but it's probably significant. Maintenance. Getting rid of HAML. I love HAML, it's so easy to write, it prints pretty HTML... It makes code clean, it makes maintenance easy. Going with javascript, there's nothing as concise. SEO. I know google handles the ajax /#!/path, but haven't grasped how this will affect other search engines and how older browsers handle it. Seems like it'd require a significant setup.

  • Rails destroy confirm with Jquery AJAX

    - by Mike
    I have got this working for the most part. My rails link is: <%= link_to(image_tag('/images/bin.png', :alt => 'Remove'), @business, :class => 'delete', :confirm => 'Are you sure?', :id => 'trash') %> :class = "delete" is calling an ajax function so that it is deleted and the page isn't refreshed that works great. But because the page doesn't refresh, it is still there. So my id trash is calling this jquery function: $('[id^=trash]').click(function(){ var row = $(this).closest("tr").get(0); $(row).hide(); return false; }); Which is hiding the row of whatever trash icon i clicked on. This also works great. I thought I had it all worked out and then I hit this problem. When you click on my trash can I have this confirm box pop up to ask you if you are sure. Regardless of whether you choose cancel or accept, the jquery fires and it hides the row. It isn't deleted, only hidden till you refresh the page. I tried changing it so that the prompt is done through jquery, but then rails was deleteing the row regardless of what i choose in my prompt because the .destroy function was being called when the prompt was being called. My question really is how can i get the value to cancel or accept from the rails confirm pop up so that in my jquery I can have an if statement that hides if they click accept and does nothing if they click cancel. EDIT: Answering Question below. That did not work. I tried changing my link to: <%= link_to(image_tag('/images/bin.png', :alt => 'Remove'), @business, :class => "delete", :onclick => "trash") %> and putting this in my jquery function trash(){ if(confirm("Are you sure?")){ var row = $(this).closest("tr").get(0); $(row).hide(); return false; } else { //they clicked no. } } But the function was never called. It just deletes it with no prompt and doesn't hide it. But that gave me an idea. I took the delete function that ajax was calling $('a.delete').click (function(){ $.post(this.href, {_method:'delete'}, null, "script"); $(row).hide(); }); And modified it implementing your code: remove :confirm = 'Are you sure?' $('a.delete').click (function(){ if(confirm("Are you sure?")){ var row = $(this).closest("tr").get(0); $.post(this.href, {_method:'delete'}, null, "script"); $(row).hide(); return false; } else { //they clicked no. return false; } }); Which does the trick.

  • How to allow multiple filters to be selected - pagination?

    - by NewSOuser
    Hey, I am still trying to allow multiple filters to be selected for my pagination script but not sure how to do it being very new to php and programing in general. So in my pagination, when a user clicks the 'marketing' button(link) it queries the database just for the category that = marketing. The same goes for the other 2 filter buttons as seen in the script below. (automotive, sports). The problem is, I want to be able to select multiple filters like only marketing and auomotive or automotive and sports, for example if I click the marketing filter and then the automotive, it would display the categories that equal marketing, and automotive. I have no idea how to accomplish this, so I have come to the experts to help me out. This is the script I am working on: <h3>Filter results by:</h3> <a href='pagi_test.php?category=marketing'>marketing</a> <a href='pagi_test.php?category=automotive'>automotive</a> <a href='pagi_test.php?category=sports'>sports</a> <br /> <h3>Results:</h3> <?php //connecting to the database $error = "Could not connect to the database"; mysql_connect('localhost','root','root') or die($error); mysql_select_db('ajax_demo') or die($error); //max displayed per page $per_page = 3; //get start variable $start = $_GET['start']; $category = mysql_real_escape_string($_GET['category']); //count records $record_count = mysql_num_rows(mysql_query("SELECT * FROM explore WHERE category='$category'")); //count max pages $max_pages = $record_count / $per_page; //may come out as decimal if (!$start) $start = 0; //display data $get = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM explore WHERE category='$category' LIMIT $start, $per_page"); ?> <table width="800px"> <?php while ($row = mysql_fetch_assoc($get)) { // get data $id = $row['id']; $site_name = $row['site_name']; $site_description = $row['site_description']; ?> <tr> <td><?php echo $id; ?></td> <td><?php echo $site_name; ?></td> <td><?php echo $site_description; ?></td> </tr> <?php } //setup prev and next variables $prev = $start - $per_page; $next = $start + $per_page; //show prev button if (!($start<=0)) echo "<a href='pagi_test.php?category=$category&start=$prev'>Prev</a> "; //show page numbers //set variable for first page $i=1; for ($x=0;$x<$record_count;$x=$x+$per_page) { if ($start!=$x) echo " <a href='pagi_test.php?category=$category&start=$x'>$i</a> "; else echo " <a href='pagi_test.php?category=$category&start=$x'><b>$i</b></a> "; $i++; } //show next button if (!($start>=$record_count-$per_page)) echo " <a href='pagi_test.php?category=$category&start=$next'>Next</a>"; ?> Any help on this would be great. Thank you. -- EDIT -- If anyone has a better method of doing a pagination system with multiple filters than the one above, please let me know.

  • What broke in this Javascript 1.2 snippet?

    - by Rob Kelley
    A friend has pointed me to his old website and says "the submit form just stopped working a while ago. I'm sure it's something simple." The form asks a child for a certain word from a book, and based on the answer, it should redirect the child to a success page or a failure page. It's using Javascript 1.2, circa 2001. You can see this form in in-action at: http://www.secrethidingplaces.com/login1.html Any idea why it's failing? The HTML does this: <script src="password.js" type="text/javascript" language="JavaScript1.2"> </script> <script type="text/javascript" language="JavaScript1.2"> <!-- function showRightPage () { return window.location.href = "extra.html" ; } function showWrongPage () { return window.location.href = "sorry2.html" ; } //--> </script> and then this: document.write ( '<form name="questionForm" action="javascript:checkAnswer()" method="post">' ) ; ... document.write ( '<input type="text" name="userAnswer" value="" size="90">' ) ; document.write ( '<INPUT TYPE="image" NAME="submit" SRC="stock/btn_send.gif" width="121" height="41" BORDER="0" ALT="submit">' ) ; document.write ( '\</p>' ) ; document.write ( '\</form>' ) ; I'm assuming there's something ugly in CheckAnswer from ./password.js . I can hack the form to bypass that javascript and go straight to the success page: document.write ( '<form name="questionForm" action="extra.html" method="post">' ) ; but I'd like to help my friend get his kids site working again. The CheckAnswer function is below. Is something going wrong in here? function checkAnswer () { currentAnswer = answersArray [ choiceNumber ] ; if (agt.indexOf("msie") != -1) { rawAnswer = document.questionForm.userAnswer.value ; } else { rawAnswer = document.callThis.document.questionForm.userAnswer.value ; } lcAnswer = rawAnswer.toLowerCase ( ) ; includedAnswer = lcAnswer.indexOf ( "currentAnswer" ) ; zadaAnswer = lcAnswer.indexOf ( "zada" ) ; brendanAnswer = lcAnswer.indexOf ( "brendan" ) ; nineAnswer = lcAnswer.indexOf ( "nine" ) ; thirtyAnswer = lcAnswer.indexOf ( "thirty" ) ; if ( choiceNumber == 0 ) { if ( includedAnswer == -1 && zadaAnswer == -1 && brendanAnswer == -1 ) { checked = "wrong" ; } } if ( choiceNumber == 8 ) { if ( includedAnswer == -1 && zadaAnswer == -1 && nineAnswer == -1 ) { checked = "wrong" ; } } if ( choiceNumber == 16 ) { if ( includedAnswer == -1 && zadaAnswer == -1 && thirtyAnswer == -1 ) { checked = "wrong" ; } } if ( choiceNumber != 0 && choiceNumber != 8 && choiceNumber != 16 ) { if ( includedAnswer == -1 && zadaAnswer == -1 ) { checked = "wrong" ; } } if ( checked == "wrong" ) { showWrongPage () ; } else { showRightPage () ; } } Thanks!

  • What's wrong with this jQuery? It isn't working as intended

    - by Doug Smith
    Using cookies, I want it to remember the colour layout of the page. (So, if they set the gallery one color and the body background another color, it will save that on refresh. But it doesn't seem to be working. jQuery: $(document).ready(function() { if (verifier == 1) { $('body').css('background', $.cookie('test_cookie')); } if (verifier == 2) { $('#gallery').css('background', $.cookie('test_cookie')); } if (verifier == 3) { $('body').css('background', $.cookie('test_cookie')); $('#gallery').css('background', $.cookie('test_cookie')); } $('#set_cookie').click(function() { var color = $('#set_cookie').val(); $.cookie('test_cookie', color); }); $('#set_page').click(function() { $('body').css('background', $.cookie('test_cookie')); var verifier = 1; }); $('#set_gallery').click(function() { $('#gallery').css('background', $.cookie('test_cookie')); var verifier = 2; }); $('#set_both').click(function() { $('body').css('background', $.cookie('test_cookie')); $('#gallery').css('background', $.cookie('test_cookie')); var verifier = 3; }); }); HTML: <p>Please select a background color for either the page's background, the gallery's background, or both.</p> <select id="set_cookie"> <option value="#1d375a" selected="selected">Default</option> <option value="black">Black</option> <option value="blue">Blue</option> <option value="brown">Brown</option> <option value="darkblue">Dark Blue</option> <option value="darkgreen">Dark Green</option> <option value="darkred">Dark Red</option> <option value="fuchsia">Fuchsia</option> <option value="green">Green</option> <option value="grey">Grey</option> <option value="#d3d3d3">Light Grey</option> <option value="#32cd32">Lime Green</option> <option value="#f8b040">Macaroni</option> <option value="#ff7300">Orange</option> <option value="pink">Pink</option> <option value="purple">Purple</option> <option value="red">Red</option> <option value="#0fcce0">Turquoise</option> <option value="white">White</option> <option value="yellow">Yellow</option> </select> <input type="button" id="set_page" value="Page's Background" /><input type="button" id="set_gallery" value="Gallery's Background" /><input type="button" id="set_both" value="Both" /> </div> </div> </body> </html> Thanks so much for the help, I appreciate it. jsFiddle: http://jsfiddle.net/hL6Ye/

  • PHP script causes segmentation fault then the browser asks me to download the .php file with nothing in it?

    - by John
    I've noticed an unusual problem with some of my php programs. Sometimes when visiting a page like profile.edit.php, the browser throws a dialogue box asking to download profile.edit.php page. When I download it, there's nothing in the file. profile.edit.php is supposed to be a web form that edits user information. I've noticed this on some of my other php pages as well. I look in my apache error logs, and I see a segmentation fault message: [Mon Mar 08 15:40:10 2010] [notice] child pid 480 exit signal Segmentation fault (11) And also, the issue may or may not appear depending on which server I deploy my application too. Additonal Details This doesn't happen all the time though. It only happens sometimes. For example, profile.edit.php will load properly. But as soon as I hit the save button (form action="profile.edit.php?save=true"), then the page asks me to download profile.edit.php. Could it be that sometimes my php scripts consume too much resources? Sample code Upon save action, my profile.edit.php includes a data_access_object.php file. I traced the code in data_access_object.php to this line here if($params[$this->primaryKey]) { $q = "UPDATE $this->tableName SET ".implode(', ', $fields)." WHERE ".$this->primaryKey." = ?$this->primaryKey"; $this->bind($this->primaryKey, $params[$this->primaryKey], $this->tblFields[$this->primaryKey]['mysqlitype']); } else { $q = "INSERT $this->tableName SET ".implode(', ', $fields); } // Code executes perfectly up to this point // echo 'print this'; exit; // if i uncomment this line, profile.edit.php will actually show 'print this'. If I leave it commented, the browser will ask me to download profile.edit.php if(!$this->execute($q)){ $this->errorSave = -3; return false;} // When I jumped into the function execute(), every line executed as expected, right up to the return statement. And if it helps, here's the function execute($sql) in data_access_object.php function execute($sql) { // find all list types and explode them // eg. turn ?listId into ?listId0,?listId1,?listId2 $arrListParam = array_bubble_up('arrayName', $this->arrBind); foreach($arrListParam as $listName) if($listName) { $explodeParam = array(); $arrList = $this->arrBind[$listName]['value']; foreach($arrList as $key=>$val) { $newParamName = $listName.$key; $this->bind($newParamName,$val,$this->arrBind[$listName]['type']); $explodeParam[] = '?'.$newParamName; } $sql = str_replace("?$listName", implode(',',$explodeParam), $sql); } // replace all ?varName with ? for syntax compliance $sqlParsed = preg_replace('/\?[\w\d_\.]+/', '?', $sql); $this->stmt->prepare($sqlParsed); // grab all the parameters from the sql to create bind conditions preg_match_all('/\?[\w\d_\.]+/', $sql, $matches); $matches = $matches[0]; // store bind conditions $types = ''; $params = array(); foreach($matches as $paramName) { $types .= $this->arrBind[str_replace('?', '', $paramName)]['type']; $params[] = $this->arrBind[str_replace('?', '', $paramName)]['value']; } $input = array('types'=>$types) + $params; // bind it if(!empty($types)) call_user_func_array(array($this->stmt, 'bind_param'), $input); $stat = $this->stmt->execute(); if($GLOBALS['DEBUG_SQL']) echo '<p style="font-weight:bold;">SQL error after execution:</p> ' . $this->stmt->error.'<p>&nbsp;</p>'; $this->arrBind = array(); return $stat; }

  • Sending Javascript variables.

    - by shinjuo
    I have a page that allows a user to choose some things in a form and it will calculate the weight using javascript. It breaks it up into 5 variables that I need to send to another page. Originally I was just having it put the variable into a text box and then I was posting that text box. However I dont want to have 5 text boxes. So now I need to somehow send or post the five variables to another page. Here is my javascript function. I need to post weightBoxOne - weightBoxFive js function function getWeight(){ var weightBoxOne; var weightBoxTwo; var totalWeight; var box = .5; var quantity = document.dhform.quantity.value; var cardSize = document.dhform.cardSize.value; if(cardSize == 0.0141){ if(quantity <= 1000){ weightBoxOne = (quantity * cardSize) + box; totalWeight = weightBoxOne; }else if(quantity > 1000 && quantity <= 2000){ weightBoxOne = (1000 * cardSize) + box; weightBoxTwo = ((quantity - 1000) * cardSize) + box; totalWeight = weightBoxOne + weightBoxTwo; }else if(quantity > 2000 && quantity <= 3000){ weightBoxOne = (1000 * cardSize) + box; weightBoxTwo = (1000 * cardSize) + box; weightBoxThree = ((quantity - 2000) * cardSize) + box; totalWeight = weightBoxOne + weightBoxTwo + weightBoxThree; }else if(quantity > 3000 && quantity <= 4000){ weightBoxOne = (1000 * cardSize) + box; weightBoxTwo = (1000 * cardSize) + box; weightBoxThree = (1000 * cardSize) + box; weightBoxFour = ((quantity - 3000) * cardSize) + box; totalWeight = weightBoxOne + weightBoxTwo + weightBoxThree + weightBoxFour; }else{ weightBoxOne = (1000 * cardSize) + box; weightBoxTwo = (1000 * cardSize) + box; weightBoxThree = (1000 * cardSize) + box; weightBoxFour = (1000 * cardSize) + box; weightBoxFive = ((quantity - 4000) * cardSize) + box; totalWeight = weightBoxOne + weightBoxTwo + weightBoxThree + weightBoxFour + weightBoxFive; } }else if(cardSize == 0.00949){ if(quantity <= 4000){ weightBoxOne = (quantity * cardSize) + box; totalWeight = weightBoxOne; }else{ weightBoxOne = (4000 * cardSize) + box; weightBoxTwo = ((quantity - 4000) * cardSize) + box; totalWeight = weightBoxOne + weightBoxTwo; } } document.rates.weight.value = totalWeight; } //--> this is the form that was originally posting <form action="getRates.php" name="rates" method="post" onSubmit="popupform(this, 'join')"> <table style="width: 216px"> <tr> <td style="width: 115px; height: 49px;"><span class="style16">Weight</span><br/> <input type="text" id="weight" name="weight" size="10" maxlength="4"/> </td> <td align="right" style="width: 68px; height: 49px;" valign="top"><span class="style16">Zip Code</span><br/> <input type="text" id="zip" name="zip" size="10" maxlength="5"/> </td> </tr> <tr> <td style="width: 115px"> <input name="submit" type="submit" value="Get Rate Costs" style="width: 138px" />

  • how to add multiple filters to pagination?

    - by ClarkSKent
    Hey, I am trying to allow multiple filters to be selected for my pagination script. So in my pagination, when a user clicks the 'marketing' button(link) it queries the database just for the category that = marketing. The same goes for the other 2 filter buttons as seen in the script below. (automotive, sports). The problem is, I want to be able to select multiple filters like only marketing and auomotive or automotive and sports, for example if I click the marketing filter and then the automotive, it would display the categories that equal marketing, and automotive. I have no idea how to accomplish this, so I have come to the experts to help me out. This is the script I am working on (I am very new to PHP and programming in general): <h3>Filter results by:</h3> <a href='pagi_test.php?category=marketing'>marketing</a> <a href='pagi_test.php?category=automotive'>automotive</a> <a href='pagi_test.php?category=sports'>sports</a> <br /> <h3>Results:</h3> <?php //connecting to the database $error = "Could not connect to the database"; mysql_connect('localhost','root','root') or die($error); mysql_select_db('ajax_demo') or die($error); //max displayed per page $per_page = 3; //get start variable $start = $_GET['start']; $category = mysql_real_escape_string($_GET['category']); //count records $record_count = mysql_num_rows(mysql_query("SELECT * FROM explore WHERE category='$category'")); //count max pages $max_pages = $record_count / $per_page; //may come out as decimal if (!$start) $start = 0; //display data $get = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM explore WHERE category='$category' LIMIT $start, $per_page"); ?> <table width="800px"> <?php while ($row = mysql_fetch_assoc($get)) { // get data $id = $row['id']; $site_name = $row['site_name']; $site_description = $row['site_description']; ?> <tr> <td><?php echo $id; ?></td> <td><?php echo $site_name; ?></td> <td><?php echo $site_description; ?></td> </tr> <?php } //setup prev and next variables $prev = $start - $per_page; $next = $start + $per_page; //show prev button if (!($start<=0)) echo "<a href='pagi_test.php?category=$category&start=$prev'>Prev</a> "; //show page numbers //set variable for first page $i=1; for ($x=0;$x<$record_count;$x=$x+$per_page) { if ($start!=$x) echo " <a href='pagi_test.php?category=$category&start=$x'>$i</a> "; else echo " <a href='pagi_test.php?category=$category&start=$x'><b>$i</b></a> "; $i++; } //show next button if (!($start>=$record_count-$per_page)) echo " <a href='pagi_test.php?category=$category&start=$next'>Next</a>"; ?>

  • How to resolve strange conflict between form post and ajax post?

    - by Oliver Hyde
    On the one page, I am trying to use ajax to edit existing values. I am doing this by using jQuery Inline Edit and posting away the new data, updating the record and returning with success. This is working fine. Next I have implemented the ability to add new records, to do this I have a form at the end of the table, which submits post data then redirects back to the original page. Each of them work individually, but after I have used the form to add a new record, the inline editing stops to work. If I close the webpage and reopen it, it works fine again until I have used the form and it goes of the rails again. I have tried a number of solutions, clearing session data, giving the form a separate name, redirecting to an alternative page (which does work, but is not ideal as I want the form to redirect back to the original location ). Here is a sample of the view form data: <?php foreach($week->incomes as $income):?> <tr> <td><?php echo $income->name;?></td> <td width="70" style="text-align:right;" class="editableSingle income id<?php echo $income->id;?>">$<?php echo $income->cost;?></td> </tr> <?php endforeach;?> <?php echo form_open('budget/add/'.$week->id.'/income/index', 'class="form-vertical" id="add_income"'); ?> <tr> <td> <input type="text" name="name" class="input-small" placeholder="Name"> <input type="text" name="cost" class="input-small" placeholder="Cost"> </td> <td> <button type="submit" class="btn btn-small pull-right"><i class="icon-plus "></i></button> </td> </tr> <?php echo form_close(); ?> This is the javascript initialisation code: $(function(){ $.inlineEdit({ income: 'budget/update_income/', expense: 'budget/update_expense/' }, { animate: false, filterElementValue: function($o){ if ($o.hasClass('income')) { return $o.html().match(/\$(.+)/)[1]; } else if ($o.hasClass('expense')) { return $o.html().match(/\$(.+)/)[1]; } else { return $o.html(); } }, afterSave: function(o){ if (o.type == 'income') { $('.income.id' + o.id).prepend('$'); } if (o.type == 'expense') { $('.expense.id' + o.id).prepend('$'); } }, colors: { error:'green' } }); }); If I can provide any more information to clarify what I have attempted etc, let me know. Temporary Fix It seems I have come up with a work around, not ideal as I still am not sure what is causing the issue. I have created a method called redirect. public function redirect(){ redirect(''); } am now calling that after the form submit which has temporarily allows my multiple post submits to work.

  • Why does jQuery's $().each() function seem to be losing track of the DOM?

    - by Nate Wagar
    I've recently started encountering a very strange problem. To be honest, I'm not entirely sure how to describe it other than to just show it. Here's the relevant HTML: <div class="component container w100 noEdit" id="contentWrapper"> <div class="component container w50" id="container1"> <div class="component text w50" id="text1"> Text1 </div> </div> <div class="component container w25" id="container2"> Container2 </div> <div class="component container w25" id="container3"> Container3 </div> <div class="component container w25" id="container4"> Container4 </div> </div> And the relevant JavaScript: $(document).ready(function () { //Add the Grab Bar to container components on the page. $('.component').each(wrapComponentForEdit); $('#contentWrapper').sortable(); $('#contentWrapper').disableSelection(); }); var wrapComponentForEdit = function() { if (!$(this).hasClass('noEdit')) { $(this).html('<div class="componentBorder">' + $(this).html() + '</div>'); $(this).prepend('<div class="grabBar_l"><div class="grabBar_r"><div class="grabBar"></div></div></div>'); alert($(this).attr('id')); } } The end result of this is that I see an alert pop up for container1, text1, container2, container3, container 4. And yet only the containers (not the text) end up with the visual changes that the $().each() is supposed to make. Anyone have any idea what the heck is going on? Thanks! EDIT - A different way to do it, that still fails I tried this, with the same result: $(document).ready(function () { //Add the Grab Bar to container components on the page. var matched = $('.component'); var componentCount = $(matched).size(); for (i = 0; i < componentCount; i++) { wrapComponentForEdit($(matched).eq(i)); } $('#contentWrapper').sortable({ handle: '.grabBarBit', tolerance: 'pointer'}); $('#contentWrapper').disableSelection(); }); var wrapComponentForEdit = function(component) { if (!$(component).hasClass('noEdit')) { $(component).html('<div class="grabBar_l grabBarBit"><div class="grabBar_r grabBarBit"><div class="grabBar grabBarBit"></div></div></div><div class="componentBorder">' + $(component).html() + '</div>'); alert($(component).attr('id')); } } EDIT 2: Another alternate method, but this one works I tried another way of doing things, and this way it works. However, the initial question still stands. Judging by how this new way works, it seems to me that the DOM is being updated, but jQuery isn't updating with it, so it loses track of the child element. $(document).ready(function () { //Add the Grab Bar to container components on the page. var componentCount = $('.component').size(); for (i = 0; i < componentCount; i++) { wrapComponentForEdit($('.component').eq(i)); } $('#contentWrapper').sortable({ handle: '.grabBarBit', tolerance: 'pointer'}); $('#contentWrapper').disableSelection(); }); var wrapComponentForEdit = function(component) { if (!$(component).hasClass('noEdit')) { $(component).html('<div class="grabBar_l grabBarBit"><div class="grabBar_r grabBarBit"><div class="grabBar grabBarBit"></div></div></div><div class="componentBorder">' + $(component).html() + '</div>'); alert($(component).attr('id')); } }

Its really simple code just a lot of animations and callbacks and stuff like that.. here's the code: jQuery.fn.tabs = function({movieID, movieTitle}) { var tabsWrap = '#movie_details_wrap'; var tabsContent = '#tab_content'; var firstTab = '#tab_detalles'; var postPHP = 'index.php?controlador=pelicula'; //When page loads... first tab actions $('ul.tabs_nav a:first').addClass('active'); //Activate first tab nav $.get(postPHP, {"activeTab": firstTab, "movieID": movieID}, function(response){ $(tabsContent).html(response); // insert response into the faded out div $(tabsWrap).animate({ // animate the wrap div using the new container div height height: $(tabsContent).height() + "px" }, function() { $(tabsContent).fadeIn(); // fade in the div with all the info }); }); //On Click Event $('ul.tabs_nav li').click(function() { $('ul.tabs_nav a').removeClass('active'); //Remove any 'active' class $(this).find('a').addClass('active'); //Add 'active' class to selected tab var activeTab = $(this).find('a').attr('href'); //Find the href attribute value to identify the active tab + content var orgHeight = $(tabsContent).height() + 'px'; // get original height $(tabsWrap).css('height', orgHeight); // set height with css to freeze the wrap div when we hide the inner div $(tabsContent).fadeOut(200, function() { // fade out the inner div // send data by ajax (post) $.get(postPHP, {"activeTab": activeTab, "movieID": movieID , "movieTitle": movieTitle}, function(response){ $(tabsContent).html(response); // insert response into the faded out div $(tabsWrap).animate({ // animate the wrap div using the new container div height height: $(tabsContent).height() + "px" }, function() { $(tabsContent).fadeIn(); // fade in the div with all the info }); }); }); return false; }); }; Here's the HTML: <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function(){ $('.tabs_nav').tabs({movieID:'135353', movieTitle: 'Some Title'}); }); </script> <!--Navigation--> <ul id="details_nav" class="tabs_nav"> <li><a href="#tab_detalles">Detalles</a></li> <li><a href="#tab_criticas">Criticas</a></li> <li><a href="#tab_posters">Posters</a></li> <li><a href="#tab_trailers">Trailers</a></li> </ul> <div class="border_wrap"> <div id="movie_details_wrap"> <div id="tab_content"> <!--Tabs content here--> </div> </div> </div>

  • Repeater not repeating :0) (asp.net)(vb)

    - by Phil
    Morning stackoverflow, I have a repeater, with the following code in my aspx page; <asp:Repeater ID="Contactinforepeater" runat="server"> <HeaderTemplate> <h1>Contact Information</h1> </HeaderTemplate> <ItemTemplate> <table width="50%"> <tr> <td colspan="2"><%#Container.DataItem("position")%></td> </tr> <tr> <td>Name:</td> <td><%#Container.DataItem("surname")%></td> </tr> <tr> <td>Telephone:</td> <td><%#Container.DataItem("telephone")%></td> </tr> <tr> <td>Fax:</td> <td><%#Container.DataItem("fax")%></td> </tr> <tr> <td>Email:</td> <td><%#Container.DataItem("email")%></td> </tr> </table> </ItemTemplate> <SeparatorTemplate> <br /><hr /><br /> </SeparatorTemplate> </asp:Repeater> Then I have this code in my aspx.vb to get the data; If did = 0 Then s = "sql works on db server" x = New SqlCommand(s, c) x.Parameters.Add("@contentid", Data.SqlDbType.Int) x.Parameters("@contentid").Value = contentid c.Open() r = x.ExecuteReader r.Read() Contactinforepeater.DataSource = r Contactinforepeater.DataBind() End If c.Close() r.Close() If Not did = 0 Then s = "sql works on db server" x = New SqlCommand(s, c) x.Parameters.Add("@contentid", SqlDbType.Int) x.Parameters("@contentid").Value = contentid x.Parameters.Add("@did", SqlDbType.Int) x.Parameters("@did").Value = did c.Open() r = x.ExecuteReader r.Read() Contactinforepeater.DataSource = r Contactinforepeater.DataBind() End If r.Close() c.Close() If 'did' is or is not '0' I still get no data outputted to the page. I just get the 'contact information' h1 header from the header template. I've tested the value of s in sqlsms and it works fine. Position, surname, telephone, fax, email all exist in the db. The particular page I am checking exists and has 1 set of contact information attached. Where am I going wrong? Thanks! ps. Does my syntax appear correct? pps. I am also open to different ways of achieving the same result. I tried via an sqldatasource but ran into problems when using variables as params (there is no option to select them, only controls, querystring etc)

  • Why does "return ERROR" only work with exceptions?

    - by ThreaT
    In the struts.xml I use: <result name="error">error</result> Then in my action I use: addActionError("ERROR RETURNED"); return ERROR; When I submit the form then it just goes to a blank page and does nothing. However, if I FORCE an exception to be thrown in the action then it goes to the error page and shows the ActionError message. So am I doing this wrong? If so, how should I tell struts to show an error page using "if statements" instead of relying solely on expensive try catches? EDIT 1: I'm using struts 2 version: 2.1.8.1 EDIT 2: For example, here is my action code that I'm using to test: String test = ""; int number = 0; try { if (number == 1) { System.out.println("number 1: " + number); test = SUCCESS; } else if (number == 2) { System.out.println("number 2: " + number); addActionError("ERROR RETURNED?"); addActionMessage("TESTTEST"); test = ERROR; } else if (number == 3) { System.out.println("number 3: " + number); addActionError("ERROR RETURNED?"); addActionMessage("TESTTEST"); test = INPUT; } else { System.out.println("number 4: " + number); test = LOGIN; } } catch (Exception e) { addActionError("ERROR RETURNED? " + e); } return test; And here is my JSP code: <s:form action="number_save" method="post"> <s:textfield name="number" label="Enter number" /> </s:form> <s:actionerror /> <s:fielderror /> <s:actionmessage /> EDIT 3: Here is a longer version of my struts.xml: <action name="number" method="numberCreate" class="NumberActionBean"> <result>number.jsp</result> </action> <action name="error"> <result>error.jsp</result> </action> <action name="number_save" method="numberSave" class="NumberActionBean"> <interceptor-ref name="defaultStack"></interceptor-ref> <result name="success" type="redirect">index</result> <result name="input" type="redirect">number</result> <result name="error">error</result> <result name="login" type="redirect">login</result> <result name="none">number</result> </action> EDIT 4: My error.jsp is simply a <s:actionerror /> tag with the general taglibs and html tags...

  • Squid + Dans Guardian (simple configuration)

    - by The Digital Ninja
    I just built a new proxy server and compiled the latest versions of squid and dansguardian. We use basic authentication to select what users are allowed outside of our network. It seems squid is working just fine and accepts my username and password and lets me out. But if i connect to dans guardian, it prompts for username and password and then displays a message saying my username is not allowed to access the internet. Its pulling my username for the error message so i know it knows who i am. The part i get confused on is i thought that part was handled all by squid, and squid is working flawlessly. Can someone please double check my config files and tell me if i'm missing something or there is some new option i must set to get this to work. dansguardian.conf # Web Access Denied Reporting (does not affect logging) # # -1 = log, but do not block - Stealth mode # 0 = just say 'Access Denied' # 1 = report why but not what denied phrase # 2 = report fully # 3 = use HTML template file (accessdeniedaddress ignored) - recommended # reportinglevel = 3 # Language dir where languages are stored for internationalisation. # The HTML template within this dir is only used when reportinglevel # is set to 3. like PersonalInfo,contactInfo,Address there will be only one record, but for tags like "OtherInfo","academicInfo","ProfessionalInfo" there will be multiple records so in xml there are tags for that. now to edit tags having one record only for one user i did coding like: private void FillFamilyInfoControls(XElement rootElement) { ddlSunsign.DataBind(); XElement parentElement; string xPathQuery = "FamilyInfo/Fields"; parentElement = rootElement.XPathSelectElement(xPathQuery); txtGallantryHistory.Text = parentElement.Element("GallantryHistory").Attribute("value").Value; txtEthinicity.Text = parentElement.Element("Ethinicity").Attribute("value").Value; txtKulDev.Text = parentElement.Element("KulDev").Attribute("value").Value; txtKulDevi.Text = parentElement.Element("KulDevi").Attribute("value").Value; txtCaste.Text = parentElement.Element("Caste").Attribute("value").Value; ddlSunsign.SelectedValue = parentElement.Element("SunSignId").Attribute("value").Value; ddlSunsign.SelectedItem.Text = parentElement.Element("SunSignName").Attribute("value").Value; } private XElement UpdateFamilyInfoXML(XElement rootElement) { XElement parentElement; string xPathQuery = "FamilyInfo/Fields"; parentElement = rootElement.XPathSelectElement(xPathQuery); parentElement.Element("GallantryHistory").Attribute("value").Value = txtGallantryHistory.Text; parentElement.Element("Ethinicity").Attribute("value").Value = txtEthinicity.Text; parentElement.Element("KulDev").Attribute("value").Value = txtKulDev.Text; parentElement.Element("KulDevi").Attribute("value").Value = txtKulDevi.Text; parentElement.Element("Caste").Attribute("value").Value = txtCaste.Text; parentElement.Element("SunSignId").Attribute("value").Value = ddlSunsign.SelectedItem.Value; parentElement.Element("SunSignName").Attribute("value").Value = ddlSunsign.SelectedItem.Text; parentElement.Element("ModifiedBy").Attribute("value").Value = UMSession.CurrentLoggedInUser.UserId.ToString(); parentElement.Element("ModifiedOn").Attribute("value").Value = System.DateTime.Now.ToString(); return rootElement; //rootElement.XPathSelectElement(xPathQuery) = parentElement; } these 2 functions i have used to update xml and to get data from xml and fill into controls. but for the tags where there are multiple records... i am not able to find any solution /control using which i an do it easily. coz my field's value is in attribute named "Value" when in the examples i saw its between opening and closing tag.. i have 2 methods to do so. 1 . i make one page to edit a single record and pass id of record to that page on editing. open the page in iframe on same page to edit and in page_load get data from database for id passed and fill it in control. 2 . i store xml on server as physical file and use it in page i opened in iframe to edit the record. so i am confused... can anybody please guide me that what shpould i do to let user provide interface to edit this xml data/user profile ?

  • jquery .hide() bug in safari

    - by phil crowe
    ive been having issues with this hide bug thats only affecting safari. This is a simple vertical scroller that hides the first element in the list then shows the last. and works in everything apart from safari. the problem seems to be that the divs im working with here share the same class but have unique ids like #mycollectioncomment1, #mycollectioncomment2, #mycollectioncomment3 etc... however hiding just one of these divs hides all the other divs that share the same class. Ive tried .fadeOut(0) that everyone suggests as the work around but it just doesnt work here. var commentListCount = $(".myCollectionLatest").size(); var mycollclickCount = 0; var showingcomments = 5; if ($('.licomment').size() > 0) { showingcomments = 4; //alert("this"); } if ($('.lookInSeasonList').size() > 0) { showingcomments = 5; } if ($('.lookDescMiddle').size() > 0) { showingcomments = 8; } if ($('.MyCollectionsCollectionHolder').size() > 0) { showingcomments = 5; } // if (commentListCount > 5) { $(".myCollectionLatest").hide(); for (i = 0; i < showingcomments; i++) { $("#mycollectioncomment" + i).show(); } $('#mycolldown').click(function () { var element1, element2; if (showingcomments <= commentListCount) { mycollclickCount++; element1 = $("#mycollectioncomment" + mycollclickCount.toString()); element2 = $("#mycollectioncomment" + showingcomments.toString()); element1.closest('.licomment').hide(); element2.closest('.licomment').show(); showingcomments++; } }); $('#mycollup').click(function () { if (showingcomments <= 5) { } else { $("#mycollectioncomment" + mycollclickCount.toString()).show(); $("#mycollectioncomment" + mycollclickCount.toString()).closest('.licomment').show(); mycollclickCount--; showingcomments--; $("#mycollectioncomment" + showingcomments.toString()).hide(); $("#mycollectioncomment" + showingcomments.toString()).closest('.licomment').show(); } }); ---html markup --- <div style="width:260px; height:975px; float:left; border-right:solid 1px #e70079; border-bottom:solid 1px #e70079; border-left:solid 1px #e70079; margin-top:180px;"> <h2 align="center"> <br /> COLLECTION LATEST </h2> <img src="/images/my-collection/black-up.jpg" id="mycollup" /><ul><li class="licomment"><div class="myCollectionLatest" id="mycollectioncomment1"><div style="float:left;"><div class="colltoppic"><a href="/my-collection.aspx?memberId=6855"><img src="/media/6855/makeuo_main.jpg" width="74" height="74" onerror="ImgError(this);" /></a></div><div class="collbottompic" /><div style="float:left;
