  • Custom Output => List of Errors interpretation in VS2008 IDE.

    Hello, I have a "database solution" project in VS2008 - it generates SQL for more than one DB vendor from some sort of templates. In order to save time, I also have a tool in VS2008 configured (a Python script), which can compile an individual stored procedure. Now, with the Python script I have the freedom of processing the output and have it take on whatever form I want. I am toying with an idea of having these errors and warnings somehow recognized and populating the click-able Error / Warning list. This is what a typical Oracle error looks like: LINE/COL ERROR -------- ----------------------------------------------------------------- 324/5 PL/SQL: Statement ignored 324/82 PLS-00363: expression 'VSOURCE_SYSTEM_ID' cannot be used as an assignment target Warning: Procedure created with compilation errors. PROCEDURE: ADD_PROPOSED error on creation Errors for PROCEDURE ADD_PROPOSED: LINE/COL ERROR This might be a long shot, but it is worthwhile for me. I do this stuff a lot. Thank you!

  • Magento: Configurable product options not showing on a view page?

    I have multi-store Magento system and strange things happen when i try to see a configurable product on my main store - the options select lists don't show up at all! And that is the case for the 95% of the products on the main store. But on the other stores it works fine?! I can't see what am I doing wrong. All my products are configurable, all have set simple products with options attached to them, all are set to be visible on all stores (WebsiteIds attribute), all are enabled on all stores, all simple products are in stock and have some stock quantity set. I think if I've done something wrong it would be like that on all stores, not just the main one. I'm totally clueless, please help.   • How to provide a temporary URL for custom domain in Wordpress multisite install?

    I have a website with Wordpress 3.0.4 installation, set up as multisite install. Some users register their blogs as something.mydomain.com and that works automatically. However, some users prefer to use their own domain names like something.com. This also works fine once they set up the CNAME record to point to my server. However, it takes 24-48 hours for that change to take effect. I'd like to be able to offer the user a temporary URL that would work out-of-the-box until the DNS changes are propagated, but I have not idea how to do it? For example: something.com should also be accessible as: something.tempdomain.com I have control over "tempdomain" DNS setup. I thought about replacing $_SERVER variables in index.php or .htaccess file when temporary domain is accessed, and this works for the first page load. However, all the links in generated page point to original domain which is not yet ready. UPDATE: I managed to get it working for the site itself by manipulating $_SERVER variables so Wordpress thinks it's creating a page for different site. I did this in index.php, so before any WP code is run I'm using ob_start and ob_get_contents later to get the page generated by Wordpress and then str_replace the links back to temporary domain. The problem I still have is the admin page. Even though the link says: http://site1.tempdomain.com/wp-admin when opened in browser it redirects to maindomain.com/wp-signup.php?new=site1.tempdomain I don't understand how WP detects that I supplied "fake" domain when $_SERVER vars are changed?

  • How can I speed up a 1800-line PHP include? It's slowing my pageload down to 10sec/view

    I designed my code to put all important functions in a single PHP file that's now 1800 lines long. I call it in other PHP files--AJAX processors, for example--with a simple "require_once("codeBank.php")". I'm discovering that it takes about 10 seconds to load up all those functions, even though I have nothing more than a few global arrays and a bunch of other functions involved. The main AJAX processor code, for example, is taking 8 seconds just to do a simple syntax verification (whose operational function is stored in codeBank.php). When I comment out the require_once, my AJAX response time speeds up from 10sec to 40ms, so it's pretty clear that PHP's trying to do something with those 1800 lines of functions. That's even with APC installed, which is surprising. What should I do to get my code speed back to the sub-100ms level? Am I failing to get the cache's benefit somehow? Do I need to cut that single function bank file into different pieces? Are there other subtle things that I could be doing to screw up my response time? Or barring all that, what are some tools to dig further into which PHP operations are hitting speed bumps?

    Hi friends, I'm a newbie drupal... I'm working on my first Drupal project. I need to make an events page for some conferences. I create event content type, and creating fields like date-place-title-etc with CCK. There are also speakers, can be up to 20. each speaker has photo-namesurname-position. same speaker can be added to more than 1 event. So it is silly to create 60 fields (photo-name-position) for 20 speakers at event adding page. and expecting admin to fill all for an event adding action. there must be a way to create speakers additionally, and listing them at event adding page with checkboxes. and admin just select the speakers from the list, can be 1 or 20 speaker. how can create such thing? in what type should I create these speakers, so i can list them in event adding page for admin to select as many as he wants.     Hi All, Aplogies for the ignorant question, I have no experience with app development on any mobile platform. Basically what I want to know is what communication protocols do apps typically use for accessing/querying centralised services? E.g if I port a webapp/service to iPhone/Andriod, typically how would I access/query this web service in my app? E.g is it over HTTP, or are there other protocols? Also, presumably the GUI of an app is constructed with Apple/Andriod GUI libraries (in java? cocoa?). Can an app GUI be defined with HTML/javascript like a webpage?   • How do i view the local database version in safari on the iphone?

    I am trying to see the localDatabase version from my iPhone in safari but it is not displaying, according to the docs i am supposed to be able to do this: var db = openDatabase('dbShortName', '', 'dbLongName', 1000); alert(db.version); and it should alert the current version number. It does not. It works in Chrome and safari for the desktop but not the iPhone. Does anybody have some idea why? My next option is to store the version in a separate table, but I would prefer to use the built in system. Thanks in advance.

    I am trying to fetch an image from an IP camera using HTTP. The camera requires HTTP basic authentication, so I have to add the corresponding request header: URL url = new URL("http://myipcam/snapshot.jpg"); URLConnection uc = url.openConnection(); uc.setRequestProperty("Authorization", "Basic " + new String(Base64.encode("user:pass".getBytes()))); // outputs "null" System.out.println(uc.getRequestProperty("Authorization")); I am later passing the url object to ImageIO.read(), and, as you can guess, I am getting an HTTP 401 Unauthorized, although user and pass are correct. What am I doing wrong? I've also tried new URL("http://user:pass@myipcam/snapshot.jpg"), but that doesn't work either.

    There's a bunch of special macros that MFC uses when creating dialogs, and in my quick tests I'm getting weird errors trying to compile a template dialog class. Is this likely to be a big pain to achieve? The canonical definition of an operator new overload is void *operator new(heap h) and the corrisponding operator delete. The most common operator new overload is pacement new, which is void *operator new(void *p) { return p; } You almost always cannot call delete on the pointer given to placement new. This leads to a single question. How is memory cleaned up when X constructor throws and an overloaded new is used?

    I'm was playing around with the standard sample split view that gets created when you select a split view application in Xcode, and after adding a few fields i needed to add a few fields to display them in the detail view. and something interesting happend in the original sample, the master view sets a "detailItem" property in the detail view and the detail view displays it. - (void)setDetailItem:(id) newDetailItem { if (_detailItem != newDetailItem) { _detailItem = newDetailItem; // Update the view. [self configureView]; } i understand what that does and all, so while i was playing around with it. i thought it would be the same if instead of _detailItem i used self.detailItem, since it's a property of the class. however, when i used self.detailItem != newDetailItem i actually got stuck in a loop where this method is constantly called and i cant do anything else in the simulator. my question is, whats the actual difference between the underscore variables(ivar?) and the properties? i read some posts here it seems to be just some objective C convention, but it actually made some difference.

    I'd like to link to some PDFs in one of my controller views. What's the best practice for accomplishing this? The CakePHP webroot folder contains a ./files/ subfolder, I am confounded by trying to link to it without using "magic" pathnames in my href (e.g. "/path/to/my/webroot/files/myfile.pdf"). What are my options? EDIT: I didn't adequately describe my question. I was attempting to link to files in /app/webroot/files/ in a platform-agnostic (ie. no mod_rewrite) way. I've since worked around this issue by storing such files outside the CakePHP directory structure.
