  • Myvidoop error when trying to log in

    Recently I have not been able to get into my myvidoop username. It won't even bring up the pictures and asks to send the access code to one of my email addresses. I have seen this message before and there was no error previously but now it will not send the access code. I've tried accessing the site through firefox and through IE but I get the same thing (whether I went through the add on to get to the site or just typed in the website). I just want to know if I possibly have something that could be blocking it from sending this out. I use the free version of Avira for protection, run Ad Muncher (but I've also tried to get this access code with Ad Muncher closed), and have Ad Block Pro plugin (but like I've said before, the same thing happens in IE). I know it uses Java to send this access code out and I've even updated Java but still cannot get it to send it to me.

    Are there some editors like emacs, vi/vim, specifically for power shell, if so which are the best? I will have to do some work on windows and I need some unix productivity - which means for me shell + text editor with syntax highlighting (for python, java, c, c++), so which are my options? Edit: I'm looking for an alternative at vim or other unix editors, and cygwin is not an option. I just want from the command line to say texteditor_name file1, modify it, save it etc, and all of these to happen inside the terminal, not in another interface etc.

  • linux log memory hogging issue

    Hi, We have a VPS server (it's using Virtuozzo). On a few occasions now, our VPS memory was fully used up and no new connections could be made to the server on SSH, SMTP, or POP. The only thing that works is connecting to the web service. Luckily, plesk is running on the VPS and we have been able to reboot it through plesk (as well as see that the RAM is 100% used). I would like to find what process is causing this. I have a feeling it's MySQL, but don't really know. Is there some sort of logging I could implement that would help me find out what was the cause of this next time it happens? Thanks.

  • iPhone Cannot log into WiFi suddenly [closed]

    I suddenly get into this strange problem. My iPhone has been using the WiFi setup at my home for more than a year. Suddenly it cannot connect to the internet despite still having the full WiFi signal icon. Have an older iPhone 3 GS and it can still browse the net using the same WiFi. So the wireless router should be working. When I check the non-functioning iPhone, it has the "Router" and the "DNS" entries blank while the functioning iPhone has entries on both of the fields. Also the subnet Mask are different. Please help.

    How can enable remote terminal login into Ubuntu 9.10 using a USB serial port? I created device /dev/ttyUSB0 and i want to allow logins using Hyper-Terminal. I found some resources but they are related to real hardware rs232 ports. I can't find any information about USB converter. So far I have established connection between that USB-serial port and my laptop. I can send text to the port (cp sometext.txt /dev/ttyUSB0) and read it using hyperterminal. What do I need to do to enable logins on this port?

    I am following the steps in this blog to set up rsyslog + logstash + graylog2 and I can't figure out how to replace the @source_host attribute in logstash using the mutate - replace filter. In the exmaple the author replaces his @source_host with a string value but I'd like to use the actual value that is parsed from in this case a syslog. mutate { type => loc1 replace => ["@source_host", "loc1"] } mutate { type => loc2 replace => ["@source_host", "loc2"] } How do I actually maintain the original source host in my logs?

    I am trying to set up Redmine as a subdirectory of our department's intranet site, and also to rebrand it as "Workflow" using IIS's URL Rewrite extension. I have it "working" in that it will serve the page with all the correct rewrites in both the URL and the HTML code. I'm on SecurityAdmin role and when I try to execute xp_readerrorlog I get a following error: Msg 229, Level 14, State 5, Procedure xp_readerrorlog, Line 1 The EXECUTE permission was denied on the object 'xp_readerrorlog', database 'mssqlsystemresource', schema 'sys'. What I'm missing? Can this role read error logs or not?

  • Can't log in using second domain controller when first DC is unreachable

    Hi, We're a small web development company. Our domain has two DCs: a main one (BEEHIVE, 192.168.3.20) in the datacenter and a second one (SPHERE2, 10.0.66.19) in the office. The office is connected to the datacenter via a VPN. We recently had a brief network outage in the office. During this outage, we weren't able to access the domain from our office machines. I had hoped that they would fail over to the DC in the office, but that didn't happen. So I'm trying to figure out why. I'm not an expert on Active Directory so maybe I'm missing something obvious. Both domain controllers are running a DNS server. Each office workstation is configured to use the datacenter DC as its primary DNS server, and the office DC as its secondary: DNS Servers . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.3.20 10.0.66.19 Both DNS servers are working, and both domain controllers are working (at least, I can connect to them both using AD Users + Computers).   • mysql command line not working

    I have mysql running in my fedora system. I have xampp setup on the system and php projects present in the webspace are working fine. PhpMyAdmin is working fine. echoing phpinfo() in a PHP script also shows mysql enabled. But running mysql connect command mysql -u[username] -p[password] Gives this - bash: mysql: command not found How do I fix that? Any pointers? I guess I need to do some pointing (define some path in some file) so that my system knows that mysql is installed. What exactly do I have to do? Additional Details This system was someone else's and he is not available here. May be PHP/Mysql was setup already in the system. I just freshly extracted xampp for linux into /opt/lampp/ and have put all the above mentioned things (PHP projects and PhpMyAdmin) there. After doing that I had a socket problem (PhpMyAdmin was not working and showing this)- #2002 - The server is not responding (or the local MySQL server's socket is not correctly configured) I restarted lampp using ./lampp restart but problem remained. Then after turning on system today, I started lampp and everything worked just fine. No project issues anymore only command line Mysql not working

  • Shorewall log question.

    I have been getting various attempts to connect to ports on my shorewall firewall. The ports that I keep seeing connection attempts at are tcp 44444, tcp 44446, udp 55555 and every now and then some slight variation. I ran "netstat -a" and did not see anything listening on those ports. Is this something that I should be worried about or is it just some rouge computers out there? I have noticed alot of the ip addresses are from Spain and Mexico.     I have this error in my syslog. I restored an older dump to solve this problem, after some reading. Now The errors in syslog are far less than before.
