• Htaccess/robots.txt to allow search bots to explore main domain but not directory on other domain

  Ok, I understand the Title didn't make any sense so here I've tried to explain it in detail. I'm using a hosting that gives me space for my domain and lets me "add on" other domains on it. So lets say I have a domain A, and I add on a domain B. Basically my hosting gives me a public_html where I can put stuff that shows when someone visits website A. But, when I add the domain B, it lets me put the content of B, INSIDE of that public_html so that website B.com can also be visited by going to A.com/siteB... Thats all good, except that Google has started indexing B.com as well as A.com/siteB, I'm ok with it indexing B.com, but I somehow want to prevent it from indexing A.com/siteB so that when people search for B, it doesn't end up showing A.com/siteB. Any ideas? Let me know if the question is still unclear.

  We are tasked with migrating an existing set of entities (currently POCOs persisted with NHibernate against an MSSQL database) to now persist to some kind of web service (yet to be built, either RESTful or SOAP-based, and that we control). I like how NHibernate encapsulates the persistence concerns and lets us maintain a logic-rich, persistence-agnostic domain model. Is there any way to make NHibernate talk to a web service at the back end instead of a SQL database directly? In other words, can "service instead of SQL database" be treated as a persistence implementation detail and allow us to continue to use NHibernate? Am I asking the right question? :)

What is difference between SSL Buffer and BIO buffer..? I mean layerwise detail will be very helpful. Can I use SSL_Write and SSL_Read without setting any BIO object to SSL object..? What exactly BIO_flush will do... I mean is it going to flush all the data to network buffer from BIO buffer.. ? If it is possible to do write and read data from SSL directly without using any BIO object then is it possible to flush the data from SSL buffer to network buffer by any means.. ? • Render multiple layers in XNA

  I'm using XNA, and I've run into a little problem. I need to support multiple layers, each with a distinct z order (I call these "viewports"). A picture is worth a thousand words, so here's what it should look like: There are several things to notice here. Sprites do not render outside of their viewport, as you can see with Sprite B. Also, notice how the viewports are rendered - it's very similar to "layers" in Photoshop. Although Sprite C is has a z order of -1000, C still renders above Sprite A because its viewport's z-order is a greater than A's viewport's z-order. There's one last detail that I couldn't display very well in the above picture. Each viewport needs to optionally render a color over its region of the screen - you could think of it as a "tinting" affect. I'm completely at a loss when it comes to doing this the best way in XNA, so I could really use a short snippet of C#/VB.NET code that demonstrates this in action. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

• Can someone tell me why my dataset wont save correctly to the database in simple winforms app?

  I have been struggling with this all day and I know it is probably something stupid. My code is below. If I call save then exit my program and start again I can save images to my events but if I just call save when I try to add an image and call save again I get a foreign key error. From what I know I thought my save method was updating the database from my dataset so the event associated with the image should exist. Anyway here is my save method...   We have an HTML 5.0 web application that we ported to Android. It's our intention to run this in a Native Wrapper. Our application uses the ApplicationCache to run offline. This works find when running under the browser. While being hosted in a WebView within a native application, after the last file is downloaded and stored in the ApplicationCache from the manifest the application is terminated and does a core dump. This appears to be a documented bug. http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=7939 Has anyone doing anything similar found a work around for this issue?

• Java sockets: can I write a TCP server with one thread?

  From what I read about Java NIO and non-blocking [Server]SocketChannels, it should be possible to write a TCP server that sustains several connections using only one thread - I'd make a Selector that waits for all relevant channels in the server's loop. Is that right, or am I missing some important detail? What problems can I encounter? (Background: The TCP communication would be for a small multiplayer game, so max. 10-20 simultaneous connections. Messages will be sent about every few seconds.)

• Tallying records using annotate() not working as should.

  I have two classes: Vehicle and Issues....a Vehicle object can have several issues recorded in the Issues class. What I want to do is to have a list of all issues, with each vehicle appearing only once and the total number of issues shown, plus other details....clicking on the record will then take the user to another page with all those issues for a selected vehicle shown in detail now. • Displaying conditional amount of fields in UI (Android)

  I am using layout xml documents for my ui controls. I need to create and remove these controls (input fields) on the fly, based on how many results I get back from my database. For each group, there can be 0..* fields and these are prepopulated from the database. Also, it would be good if I can invoke a method to create an additional field; something like the address book, where you can click + or - to add or remove a phone or other detail. In a "psuedo" style, I'm guessing something like this: Check database - How many of X are there [y]? Create Y fields. The user may then add new fields, so once I click submit i need to apply all of that to database. Any examples or hints greatly welcomed. Hope this make sense! :)

With my SQL query I would like to count the total number of cash transactions, the total cash value and the same for checks. I only want to do this for a specified date. Here is a snippet of the query that I am having trouble with. These sum and count commands are processing all the data in the table and not for the selected date. • What is the most frustrating programming style you've encountered?

  When it comes to coding style I'm a pretty relaxed programmer. I'm not firmly dug into a particular coding style. I'd prefer a consistent overall style in a large code base but I'm not going to sweat every little detail of how the code is formatted. Still there are some coding styles that drive me crazy. No matter what I can't look at examples of these styles without reaching for a VIM buffer to "fix" the "problem". I can't help it. It's not even wrong, I just can't look at it for some reason. For instance the following comment style almost completely prevents me from actually being able to read the code. if (someConditional) // Comment goes here { other code } What's the most frustrating style you've encountered?

The problem is that the Account entity has no employee information that we can sort.

  Are there any FTP programs which can automatically copy (or rather 'move') the contents of a folder to a remote server? I have of course googled this but only really found one or two ancient products which look really clunky and unmaintained. I was wondering if there's a way to do this from the command line or any better solution to the base problem. In more detail, new files get written to a folder every few hours. These new files need to be FTP'd elsewhere and then deleted. Mirroring or synchonisation systems are probably out of the picture as we need to delete the source files once they've been successfully transferred. If it's easier, the 'solution' could pull the files off the server (rather than the server pushing them to the client). The computers will both be Windows OS.

By that I don't mean re sort but basically reversing how each element was moved. • C++ code visualization

  A sort of follow up/related question to this. I'm trying to get a grip on a large code base that has hundreds and hundreds of classes and a large inheritance hierarchy. I want to be able to see the "main veins" of the inheritance hierarchy at a glance - not all the "peripheral" classes that only do some very specific / specialized thing. Visual Studio's "View Class Diagram" makes something that looks like a train and its sprawled horizontally across the screen and isn't very organized. You can't grok it easily. I've just tried doxygen and graphviz but the results are .. somewhat similar to Visual Studio. I'm getting sweet looking call graphs but again too much detail for what I'm trying to get. I need a quick way to generate the inheritance hierarchy, in some kind of collapsible view.
