Sample : In first script : store|//div[@id="myfield"]|myvar In my second script : type|${myvar}|myvalue But when I start test runner (from maven), it returns an error telling that ${myvar} is not found The value contained in the stored var is not used.     Hi, i have the following code to update a google map: function updateit(c1,c2){ alert(c1+"-"+c2); // This works map.setCenter(new GLatLng(c1, c2), 13); // But this doesn't } updateit(37.4419, -122.1419); The alert is working and show the two coordinations, but i think the GLatLng() doesn't receive them, so the map is not updated unless i directly declare them as strings : function updateit(c1,c2){ map.setCenter(new GLatLng(37.4419, -122.1419), 13); // This works } How to fix this problem?     Could anyone explain me why in the last lines, br is not recognized as variable? I've even tried putting br in the try clause, setting it as final, etc. Does this have anything to do with Java not support closures? After optimization, I don't think either choice makes a difference in performance. What is generally the preferred style and why?

    I have a a polygon class which stores a list of Microsoft.Xna.Framework.Vector2 as the vertices of the polygon. Once the polygon is created, I'd like other classes to be able to read the position of the vertices, but not change them. I am currently exposing the vertices through this field: /// <summary> /// Gets the vertices stored for this polygon. /// </summary> public List<Vector2> Vertices { get { return _vertices; } } List<Vector2> _vertices; However you can change any vertex using code like: Polygon1.Vertices[0] = new Vector2(0, 0); or Polygon1.Vertices[0].X = 0; How can I limit other classes to be able to only read the properties of these vertices, and not be able to set a new one to my List? The only thing I can think of is to pass a copy to classes that request it. Note that Vector2 is a struct that is part of the XNA framework and I cannot change it. Thanks.

    Hi, I'm trying to create a custom form element which extends Zend_Form_Element_Text with a validator (so I don't have to keep setting up the validator when I use certain elements). Anyway, I'm having trouble passing $maxChars variable to it when I instantiate it in my Main form. I've provided my shortened code below This is my custom element below class My_Form_Custom_Element extends Zend_Form_Element_Text { public $maxChars public function init() { $this->addValidator('StringLength', true, array(0, $this->maxChars)) } public function setProperties($maxChars) { $this->maxChars= $maxChars; } } This is where I instantiate my custom form element. class My_Form_Abc extends Zend_Form { public function __construct($options = null) { parent::__construct($options); $this->setName('abc'); $customElement = new My_Form_Custom_Element('myCustomElement'); $customElement->setProperties(100); //**<----This is where i set the $maxChars** $submit = new Zend_Form_Element_Submit('submit'); $submit -> setAttrib('id', 'submitbutton'); $this->addElements(array($customElement ,$submit)); } } When I try to pass '100' using $customElement-setProperties(100) in my Form, it doesnt get passed properly to my StringLength validator. I assume it's because the validator is getting called in Init? How can I fix this?

But when do you stop, once it's converted into a local variable? eg if (isValidxxx($_GET['foo']) == false) { throw InvalidArgumentException('Please enter a valid foo!'); } $foo = $_GET['foo']; fooProcessor($foo); function fooProcessor($foo) { if (isValidxxx($foo) == false) { throw Invalid...... } //other stuff } To me thats over the top. But what if you load the value from the database... I hope I make sense :)

Now, when I log a user in, I run session_register("user"); but I don't really understand what I'm up to. Does that session variable contain any identifiable information, so that I for example can get it out via $_SESSION["user"] or will I have to store the username in a separate variable? Thanks.

So my question is, would I be able to use something like this: $allgets ="?act=phptools&host=".$host."&time=".$duration."&port=".$port; $ch = curl_init($resultSet['url'] . $allgets); Very simple question I suppose, but my server is undergoing maintenance, so I can't upload it and test it myself. I suppose a yes or no answer will suffice, but if you have a more efficient way of doing this, that would be even better. :)
