  • How to get PHP command line to work with PDO?

    I want to work with PDO, through PHP command line. It works perfect through the PHP web API, but not through the command line. But when I execute the command: php test.php, it says unknown class PDO. I think it has something to do with the thread-safety difference.     One of the biggest problems that I’ve seen with people creating WP7 applications is how do you bind the application bar to a Relay Command. If your using MVVM then this is particular important. Let’s examine the code that one might add to start with.  <phone:PhoneApplicationPage.ApplicationBar> <shell:ApplicationBar IsVisible="True" IsMenuEnabled="True"> <shell:ApplicationBarIconButton x:Name="appbar_button1" IconUri="/icons/appbar.questionmark.rest.png" Text="About"> <i:Interaction.Triggers> <i:EventTrigger EventName="Click"> <GalaSoft_MvvmLight_Command:EventToCommand Command="{Binding DisplayAbout, Mode=OneWay}" /> </i:EventTrigger> </i:Interaction.Triggers> </shell:ApplicationBarIconButton> <shell:ApplicationBar.MenuItems> <shell:ApplicationBarMenuItem x:Name="menuItem1" Text="MenuItem 1"></shell:ApplicationBarMenuItem> <shell:ApplicationBarMenuItem x:Name="menuItem2" Text="MenuItem 2"></shell:ApplicationBarMenuItem> </shell:ApplicationBar.MenuItems> </shell:ApplicationBar> </phone:PhoneApplicationPage.ApplicationBar> Everything looks right. But we quickly notice that we have a squiggly line under our Interaction.Triggers. The problem is that the object is not a FrameworkObject. This same code would have worked perfect if this were a normal button. OK. Point has been proved. Let’s make the ApplicationBar support Commands. So, go ahead and create a new project using MVVM Light. If you want to check out the source and work along side this tutorial then click here.  7 Easy Steps to have binding on the Application Bar using MVVM Light (I might add that you don’t have to use MVVM Light to get this functionality, I just prefer it.) 1) Download MVVM Light if you don’t already have it and install the project templates. It is available at http://mvvmlight.codeplex.com/. 2) Click File-New Project and navigate to Silverlight for Windows Phone. Make sure you use the MVVM Light (WP7) Template. 3) Now that we have our project setup and ready to go let’s download a wrapper created by Nicolas Humann here, it is called Phone7.Fx. After you download it then extract it somewhere that you can find it. This wrapper will make our application bar/menu item bindable. 4) Right click References inside your WP7 project and add the .dll file to your project. 5) In your MainPage.xaml you will need to add the proper namespace to it.   • Meta package / quick reference for string manipulation commands?

    The latest version of the Scribes text editor lets us select some text, hit Alt+X, and then run an arbitrary command. For example, I can run the sort command and the selected text is replaced appropriately. This is quite useful but I am also not very well-versed in awk and the like. Is there something I can grab that will provide more of these commands like sort? Maybe a package with a whole bunch of handy, task-specific string manipulation commands?

  • OpenGL - Calculating camera view matrix

    Problem I am calculating the model, view and projection matrices independently to be used in my shader as follows: gl_Position = projection * view * model * vec4(in_Position, 1.0); When I try to calculate my camera's view matrix the Z axis is flipped and my camera seems like it is looking backwards. My program is written in C# using the OpenTK library. Translation (Working) I've created a test scene as follows: From my understanding of the OpenGL coordinate system they are positioned correctly. The model matrix is created using: Matrix4 translation = Matrix4.CreateTranslation(modelPosition); Matrix4 model = translation; The view matrix is created using: Matrix4 translation = Matrix4.CreateTranslation(-cameraPosition); Matrix4 view = translation; Rotation (Not-Working) I now want to create the camera's rotation matrix. To do this I use the camera's right, up and forward vectors: // Hard coded example orientation: // Normally calculated from up and forward // Similar to look-at camera. Vector3 r = Vector.UnitX; Vector3 u = Vector3.UnitY; Vector3 f = -Vector3.UnitZ; Matrix4 rot = new Matrix4( r.X, r.Y, r.Z, 0, u.X, u.Y, u.Z, 0, f.X, f.Y, f.Z, 0, 0.0f, 0.0f, 0.0f, 1.0f); This results in the following matrix being created: I know that multiplying by the identity matrix would produce no rotation. This is clearly not the identity matrix and therefore will apply some rotation. I thought that because this is aligned with the OpenGL coordinate system is should produce no rotation. Is this the wrong way to calculate the rotation matrix? I then create my view matrix as: // OpenTK is row-major so the order of operations is reversed: Matrix4 view = translation * rot; Rotation almost works now but the -Z/+Z axis has been flipped, with the green cube now appearing closer to the camera. It seems like the camera is looking backwards, especially if I move it around. My goal is to store the position and orientation of all objects (including the camera) as: Vector3 position; Vector3 up; Vector3 forward; Apologies for writing such a long question and thank you in advance. I've tried following tutorials/guides from many sites but I keep ending up with something wrong.   • What do each of the TTYs do?

    I know that alt+ctrl+F(1-6) take me to available command lines, and that F1 command line is used for debugging, and F8 is the GUI desktop, that what i know but today i noticed there in F7 that does nothing, it only displays some sort of log in message, and there is F(9-12) that just display black screen with blinking under scroll . can anyone enlighten me what those consoles do, are they for trouble shooting maybe? i use ubuntu netbook 10.10.

Every time I configure VLANs on MTA2-bcsw[12] Fa0/24 interface on m_management_2 goes down bacause of receiving tagged BPDUs on access port (there are no VLANs configured on MTA2-swmgmt1 because of fact that only 250 VLAN is allowed in this switch. Is it correct?). Can someone provide me some basic configuration for this topology? Second thing I want to ask is concept of connection from MTA2-swmgmt1 to MTA2-swtr[12] HP switches for the sake of management. How to configure such ports on HP switches (managed switch and manager switch). Is my actual configuration correct?

Just to give you and idea of my problem ... I want to change all the symbolic links inside a particular folder .. New Symbolic link -- /base/testusr/scripts Old Symbolic link -- /base/produsr/scripts Now folder "A" contains more than 100 different files having soft links which points to this path -- /base/produsr/scripts But what I want is that the files inside folder A to point to this soft link --/base/testusr/scripts I am trying to achieve in Hp unix ... would really appreciate your help on this ...

  • Recovery disk Windows 8 HP Pavilion g6

    I recently purchased a HP Pavilion g6 laptop running Windows 8. I want to either obtain the Windows 8 ISO or make some kind of recovery disk that would allow me to restore the system if things go wrong. The HP Pavilion comes with the 'HP Recovery Manager' which I thought may do the job, but on running it and putting in a DVD-R as requested it seems to just hang for a number of hours without doing a thing (the disk sounds like it's spinning for a few minutes but then goes silent). I then tried 'recdisc.exe' but I get the error System Repair could not be created The device reported unexpected or invalid data for a command. (0xC0AA02FF) Next I obtained my Windows 8 product key using the software ProduKey thinking this would allow me to go to the Microsoft website and download the Windows 8 ISO, but as far as I can tell all that is available is the upgrade which can be used if one is running something like Windows 7. Can anyone advise? EDIT: after a reboot recdisc.exe did work; I think the problem was due to some Windows updates needing a reboot, but never the less I would like a full Windows 8 ISO if possible.

I'm looking for a simple way to do this from a linux terminal (likely a bash shell but anything should do) and an alternative way to do this on Windows.     I am working on a web project where client needs a functionality to first upload some MS word document & then he can compare any two of the uploaded documents. The idea I came up with is to first make the documents available using WEBDAV & then open both documents using command line with "Compare side by side" option. In this way he will be able to compare & modify two documents. The problem is, I am not able to find any command which can be run from command prompt to open two documents in compare mode.   • XUbuntu: Open file browser via "run command" menu

    In older Xubuntu versions, if I entered a path to a directory in the "run command" dialog, a thunar-window was opened showing this directory. I found that to be very handy if I would open f.e.g "/tmp", I just needed to press WindowsKey+r, enter /tmp and press enter, there I was. This was also great for URLs (ftp, http etc) Unfortunately, since 12.04, this doesn't work anymore. It seem as if the "run command" is now integrated with the program finder. It still works when I type "thunar ftp://...." or "thunar /tmp", but it's a bit tedious now. Is there a way to restore the old behavior? Note: I'm running a german localization of Xubuntu - I hope I translated "run command" and "program finder" correctly...

    I'm looking to implement the command pattern in a web application (asp.net c#)... Since the commands come in text format from the client, what is the best way to translate the string to a command object? Should I use reflection? Currently I just assume the command that comes in matches the file name of a user control. This is a bit of a hack. Rather than have a select case statement that says if string = "Dashboard" then call Dashboard.Execute(), is there a pattern for working with commands that originate as strings?
