    Lets assume I have the string: "Hello I like your shoes #today...!" I am tokenizing the string by spaces: return [string componentsSeparatedByString:@" "]; So my array contains: Hello I like your shoes #today...! I want to focus on "#today...!" any word that has a # in the prefix I am changing the font color. How can I make sure that only "#today" has its font color changed? I would basically like to figure out if a word has a punctuation mark at the end, and change the color for characters before the punctuation mark.

    Hey guys, I am grabbing a JSON array and storing it in a NSArray, however it includes JSON encoded UTF-8 strings, for example pass\u00e9 represents passé. I need a way of converting all of these different types of strings into the actual character. I have an entire NSArray to convert. Or I can convert it when it is being displayed, which ever is easiest. I found this chart http://tntluoma.com/sidebars/codes/ is there a convenience method for this or a library I can download? thanks, BTW, there is no way I can find to change the server so I can only fix it on my end...

  • Why are controls (null) in awakeFromNib?

    This is a follow on from another question regarding why I could not set UIControls in awakeFromNib. The answer to that is that as you can see below the controls are nil in the awakeFromNib, although they are initialised to the correct objects by the time we get to viewDidLoad. I setup the view the same as I always do, should I be doing something different to access them here, the xib(nib) was designed and saved with the current version of Image Builder.   • Stop NSXMLParser Instance from Causing _NSAutoreleaseNoPool

    Hi Everyone: In my iPhone application, I have an instance of NSXMLParser that is set to a custom delegate to read the XML. This is then moved into its own thread so it can update the data in the background. However, ever since I have done this, it has been giving me a lot of _NSAutoreleaseNoPool warnings in the console. I have tried to add a NSAutoreleasePool to each of my delegate classes, however, this hasn't seemed to solve the problem. I have included my method of creating the NSXMLParser in case that is at fault.     Hey guys, How can I figure out which word is at the point where the user tapped on a UIWebView? I am able to detect the CGPoint for the tap (subclassing UIWindow like this), and I can actually get the DOM element on that point using javascript. But I know very little of javascript and DOM to figure out how can I actually get which word the user tapped on. Is that possible?   • iPhone UIImage Display Controller

    Hello, I would like to be able to display a UIImage from within my app and support a lot of the functionality available in the built-in Photos app (i.e., pinch-to-zoom, pan, etc). I don't really want to write a bunch of code that someone has already written, so I'm wondering if there is a library out there already that I could just import into my project. I'm aware of the Three20 project, but I don't want to import a huge library if I don't have to. Is anyone aware of an available library that's already out there for displaying UIImages? Or part of some open-source project that can be pulled out on its own? Thanks!

  • Why does UIActionSheet cancel crahes my App?

    I try to use the UIActionSheet within my iPhone App but have the following problem. When I tap the cancel button "I don't", the app crashes. When I remove the NSLog statement from the actionSheet:clickedButtonAtIndex: it does not. The "Yes, do it" button works just fine and I see the log statement in the console. When the user is not online, I want them to still be able to see the numbers they already got from the database in the table view.   • Converting RGB values to CMYK

    Hi all, I have RGB values that I need to convert into CMYK values. I'm using the iPhone SDK to try and do this. I have tried a couple of things, but cannot either get the values to be anything other than 0 or 1, or the K element is completely wrong (showing up as a negative number).
