Once setting the action for the form, in Firefox, Safari, Chrome the submit method works fine while in IE (8) nothing happens when submit is called (I am submitting a form to paypal, not that it matters). I am on GWT 2.0. Is this some kind of known problem? Been looking around but couldn't find anything on the subject. Any help appreciated!

  • Hiding a navigation bar via scrolling (safari style)

    - by eagle
After a page is loaded in Safari on the iPhone, when you begin scrolling down, the navigation bar is also scrolled out of view. When you scroll back up, the navigation scrolls back into view. I'm looking to implement this same behavior using a UIWebView underneath the UINavigationBar, but I'm guessing it should be possible with any UIScrollView descendant. How can this behavior be implemented?

  • Is It Possible to get a (rough) Mobile Phone Location from a HTTP Request

    - by Tim Lytle
If memory serves me correctly, google does this for the maps site. I know google's mobile maps app can determine the rough location (I assume using some kind of cell tower lookup), yet I seem to remember the site getting somewhat close to the current location when viewing on a mobile browser. Anyone know how/if that's possible? Does the IP address change based on the tower or area (seems like they'd be using some kind of gateway common to the carrier)?

  • force a webview link to launch safari?

    - by tbacos
I have a uiwebview embedded within an iPhone app of mine. I want to be able to have certain links within that webview open into the full mobile safari app (i.e. not my embedded version of it). Is there a simple way to structure some of my hrefs to force this, instead of every link opening within my embedded webview? Thanks. -tony

  • Loading css rules dynamically in Webkit (Safari/Chrome)

    - by Patrick
Hi all, I currently have issues in Webkit(Safari and Chrome) were I try to load dynamically (innerHTML) some html into a div, the html contains css rules (...), after the html gets rendered the style definitions are not loaded (so visually I can tell the styles are not there and also if I search with javascript for them no styles are found). I have tried using a jquery plugin tocssRule(), it works but it is just too slow. Is there another way of getting webkit to load the styles dynamically? Thanks. Patrick

  • jQuery resize not working at FireFox, Chrome and Safari

    - by naveen
$("#dvMyDIV").bind("resize", function(){ alert("Resized"); }); or $("#dvMyDIV").resize(function(){ alert("Resized"); }); The questions Why is this not working at FireFox, Chrome and Safari? Can this be considered a jQuery bug since the resize is not handled for other browsers? Could the only workaround be calling a SetTimeout function checking the clientHeight and clientWidth? Any workarounds using jQuery?

  • Mobile Google Calendar for Specific Calendars Only

    - by mellort
The mobile view of Google Calendar is really great, but I would like to be able to have it for one calendar ONLY, rather than all of the calendars I use. This would be so that I could create a webapp where a user could visit a URL and see a mobile view of a certain calendar, without the user having to add it to his calendars. What is the best way to do this? Are there any tools which accomplish something similar?

    - by Grant
Hi, if i wanted to create a mobile friendly version of a relatively small website would it be better to have a sub domain that redirects to a completely new url with sperate markup and styling or would it be better to detect the useragent in code and programatically change to a different mobile friendly stylesheet, or is their a better infrastructure based solution i am overlooking..
