    I am reading a .xls file and then procesing it inside and rewriting it in the end of my program. I was wondering if someone can help me to parse the dates as my input file name is like file_1_2010_03_03.csv and i want my outputfile to be newfile_2010_03_03.xls is there a way to incorporate in matlab program so i do not have to manually write the command xlswrite('newfile_2010_03_03.xls', M); everytime and change the dates as i input files with diff dates like file_2_2010_03_04.csv.   • Parse contents of directory to bash command in a script

    I have the directory ~/fooscripts/ and inside there are foo1.txt, foo2.txt, etc etc I have a command that takes the file foo1.txt as input and does some calculation. The output location etc is handled internally in fooprog fooprog -user-data=foo1.txt I would like to automate the whole thing in a bash script so that the script will parse all txt files in ~/fooscripts/ sequentially. I am a newbie in bash. Could anyone give me a hint?

    Possible Duplicate: My server’s been hacked EMERGENCY I run a webserver which over the last few days seems to have become infected with malware that tries to include content from "http://g00glestatic.com/s.js" It appears the attacker gained access to one of the user accounts (not root), made a few changes, added a few files and ran a few bash commands. These changes stuck out clearly to me because it is not a shared server and I am the only person with access through very secure passwords. "; printf "install uprobes /bin/sh" > ololo.conf; MODPROBE_OPTIONS="-C ololo.conf" staprun -u ololo rm -f ololo.conf fi Other Noticeable Edits Any files that contain: ([.htaccess]|[index|header|footer].php|[*.js]) will have been modified and all system file and directory permissions will have been changed to: x--x--x My steps to remove this malware re uploaded original php/js files to revert any changes Changed all user passwords Modified hosts.allow to a static ip so that only I have access Removed the above 4 files and checked all modified file dates within that directory to check for any other recent modifications, none can be found Conclusion I'm hoping that as they did not have root access, any changes they wished to make higher up failed and they were only able to display an iframe on the site for a short amount of time? What else do I need to look for to check the malware infection has not spread? Second Conclusion This malware sinks too deep to 'clean', if you get infected I recommend a server nuke and rebuild from backups with increased security. Possibility It's possible that Filezilla ftp passwords were stolen through a trojan as they're unfortunately stored unencrypted. However Trend Micro Titanium has not found any. The settings box to disable passwords being saved has now been ticked, I also recommend that you take this action.

    I have a small website where some content is displayed within a HTML tag using AJAX. The content is simply taken from another page on the same web site. However, sometimes instead of loading the parsed PHP file, the browser displays a download box instead. I downloaded the file and this is what it looks like a text file mixed with binary or gzipped data.     I'm developing a script using the ruby Treetop library and having issues working with its syntax for regex's. First off, many regular expressions that work in other settings dont work the same in treetop. This is my grammar: (myline.treetop) grammar MyLine rule line string whitespace condition end rule string [\S]* end rule whitespace [\s]* end rule condition "new" / "old" / "used" end end This is my usage: (usage.rb) require 'rubygems' require 'treetop' require 'polyglot' require 'myline' parser = MyLineParser.new p parser.parse("randomstring new") This should find the word new for sure and it does! Now I wont to extend it so that it can find new if the input string becomes "randomstring anotherstring new yetanother andanother" and possibly have any number of strings followed by whitespace (tab included) before and after the regex for rule condition. In other words, if I pass it any sentence with the word "new" etc in it, it should be able to match it. So let's say I change my grammar to: rule line string whitespace condition whitespace string end Then, it should be able to find a match for: p parser.parse("randomstring new anotherstring") So, what do I have to do to allow the string whitespace to be repeated before and after condition? If I try to write this: rule line (string whitespace)* condition (whitespace string)* end , it goes in an infinite loop. If i replace the above () with [], it returns nil In general, regex's return a match when i use the above, but treetop regex's dont. Does anyone have any tips/points on how to go about this? Plus, since there isn't much documentation for treetop and the examples are either too trivial or too complex, is there anyone who knows a more thorough documentation/guide for treetop?

  • Gitorious errors

    I installed Gitorious on my (shared) hosting. I was getting errors, but I seemed to have fixed most of them. It is working. When I commit/push, I get a lot of remote: errors spewed out although it does push the files properly from what I can tell.   • WGet or cURL: Mirror Site from http://site.com And No Internal Access

    I have tried wget -m wget -r and a whole bunch of variations. I am getting some of the images on http://site.com, one of the scripts, and none of the CSS, even with the fscking -p parameter. The only HTML page is index.html and there are several more referenced, so I am at a loss. curlmirror.pl on the cURL developers website does not seem to get the job done either. Is there something I am missing? I have tried different levels of recursion with only this URL, but I get the feeling I am missing something. Long story short, some school allows its students to submit web projects, but they want to know how they can collect everything for the instructor who will grade it, instead of him going to all the externally hsoted sites. UPDATE: I think I figured out the issue. I though the links to the other pages were in the index.html page that downloaded. I was way off. Turns out the footer of the page, which has all the navigation links, is handled by a JavaScript file Include.js, which reads JLSSiteMap.js and some other JS files to do page navigation and the like. As a result, wget does not pick up an other dependencies because a lot of this crap is handled not on web pages. How can I handle such a website? This is one of several problem cases. I assume little can be done if wget cannot parse JavaScript.

  • What should I do about com.apple.quarantine?

    I've downloaded some .jar files from the internet and want to use them under Mac OS X. But the OS seems to have tagged them with the extended attribute com.apple.quarantine (no indication of this until I noticed the "@" in the ls -l and figured out how to use ls -l@) -- apparently because they have been downloaded from the internet. What's the right way to deal with this?
