    OMG! What am I doing wrong? declare @WTF TABLE ( OrderItemId int ) SELECT TOP 20 OrderItemId as OrderItemId INTO [@WTF] FROM ac_OrderItems SELECT * FROM [@WTF] Problem A: This creates a PHYSICAL table called @WTF. WHY?? I thought this was in memory only?! Problem B: The last line of code, if I do select * from @WTF... WITHOUT the [ ], it returns NOTHING. What is the significance of the [ ]? I need serious help. I'm losing my MIND! Thanks in advance.

  • IAR Embedded Workbench - setting endian-ness of variable

    I'm using IAR Embedded Workbench for ARM (ARM7TDMI-S) and the majority of my work is done using little-endian format. However, I saw in the manual that I can do something like : __big_endian int i, j; to declare those two variables as big endian (while the rest of the app as little endian). This seems like a fantastic feature, but when I try to compile, I always get the errror: Error[Pa002]: the type attribute "__big_endian" is not allowed on this declaration. The big endian line above is copied directly from the manual, but it does not work. This is a great feature of the compiler and would make life a big easier. Any ideas how to get it working? I have my language conformance set to 'Allow IAR extensions' on the C/C++ Compiler options tab on the IDE options.

    In this example I create three buttons 'one' 'two' 'three'. In JavaScript, variables inside for-loops seem to be 'static' in the C language sense. Is there some way to create separate variables for each click function, i.e. not using the same reference? Thanks! I was wondering how could I pass a value to a Java Method using ANT. Non of these classes have Main methods and will not have any main. Due to this I was unable to use it as a java system properties.     I have a vector X that contains positive numbers that I want to bin/discretize. For this vector, I want the numbers [0, 10) to show up just as they exist in the vector, but numbers [10,∞) to be 10+. I'm using: x <- c(0,1,3,4,2,4,2,5,43,432,34,2,34,2,342,3,4,2) binned.x <- as.factor(ifelse(x > 10,"10+",x)) but this feels klugey to me. Does anyone know a better solution or a different approach? mcpeterson

    I have a singleton instance that is referenced throughout the project which works like a charm. It saves me the trouble from having to pass around an instance of the object to every little class in the project. However, now I need to manage multiple instances of the previous setup, which means that the singleton pattern breaks since each instance would need it's own singleton instance. What options are there to still maintain static access to the singleton? To be more specific, we have our game engine and several components and plugins reference the engine through a static property. Now our server needs to host multiple game instances each having their own engine, which means that on the server side the singleton pattern breaks. I'm trying to avoid all the classes having the engine in the constructor.

    Hello guys, I have a function that takes variadic arguments, that I obtain from func_get_args(). This function needs to call a constructor with those arguments. However, I don't know how to do it. With call_user_func, you can call functions with an array of arguments, but how would you call a constructor from it? I can't just pass the array of arguments to it; it must believe I've called it "normally". Thank you!

    in the form action i have the following line\ <form action="{URL}" method="post" target="_self" id="xxx" name="xxx"> when rendered in the browser it becomes action="/abc/17224_pb/HTTP/index.php" this is just HTML. I cannot see anywhere the {URL} has been defined and anyway you cannot have variables in HTML (can you?) i thought it might be jquery but it would need to be in a script ?? Where does it come from? How is it defined? This code is not really in a framework but we do have some Zend framework code around.

Imagine a class "Fruit" which has a factory method to create a fruit. interface Fruit { } +(Fruit*) createFruit: { return [[Fruit alloc] init autorelease]; } Now I want to subclass the Fruit to get an Apple: interface Apple : Fruit { int iSeeds; } +(Apple*) createAppleWithColor: (int) iSeeds { Apple* oApple = [Apple createFruit:]; oApple.iSeeds = iSeeds; return oApple; } Questions: How can I make "iSeeds" private so it cannot be changed from outside? If I add a "private" keyword it does not build anymore. Still I want to set iSeeds from inside my Apple's factory method. I want users allow to READ the content of iSeeds. So I suppose I should have a getter but I can't get it to work. I always get some error about "LValue assignment". The Fruit's createFruit is making use of autorelease. Does the Apple have to reatin/release anything? René

    I am trying to resolve %USERPROFILE% using WScript.Shell. When I create a vbs file and run directly from Windows, I get the correct path for the logged-in user C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator but it gets resolved to C:\Documents and Settings\Default User instead of logged-in user when I used it inside my classic ASP webapp running on the local machine on IIS. The code I used is as below var oShell = new ActiveXObject("Wscript.Shell"); var userPath = oShell.ExpandEnvironmentStrings("%USERPROFILE%"); Is there a permission/setting which I need to check to get correct value of USERPROFILE when retrieving value from the webapp?     I'm sure it's pretty straightforward since someone just solved a similar problem I had. I have a folder full of city images and need users to see the image corresponding to their city. Right now I'm getting the users location without problem using "geoip_city()" but I don't quite know how to integrate it into the URL of the image. All images have the following format: New York.jpg, Boston.jpg so I just need to make the script put the location before .jpg This is what I'm trying now: <img src="blank.png" id="image" > <script type="text/javascript"> document.getElementById('image').src = "Imagenes/grupos/' + geoip_city() + '.jpg"; </script> I believe I'm just messing with the quotes or something similar. I must be missing something any help really appreciated.
