    Often I find some really cool javascript one liners that you can copy and paste into your browser address bar in order to get some fancy effects or even useful ones. This, for example, will let you edit anything on the page. javascript:document.body.contentEditable='true'; document.designMode='on'; void 0 What is your favorite? EDIT: I know that technically all these snippets are just javascript scripts that gets evaluated by the browser as if they were defined in the page. I also know that many browsers have got extensions to let you run javascript code (also letting you store scripts somewhere, providing a good editor etc etc). However that's not so practical; I'm not a javascript developer, haven't got firebug installed, and I can't install it anywhere I go. My idea idea is that of collecting the best "mini-scripts" that whoever can just copy and paste in his browser without the need of installing extensions and stuff.

  • jQuery ajax request to php, how to return plain text only

    I am making an ajax request to a php page and I cannot for the life of me get it to just return plain text. $.ajax({ type: 'GET', url: '/shipping/test.php', cache: false, dataType: 'text', data: myData, success: function(data){ console.log(data) } }); in test.php I am including this script to get UPS rates. I am then calling the function with $rate = ups($dest_zip,$service,$weight,$length,$width,$height); I am doing echo $rate; at the bottom of test.php. When viewed in a browser shows the rate, that's great. But when I request the page via ajax I get a bunch of XML. Pastie here: http://pastie.org/1416142 My question is, how do I get it so I can just return the plain text string from the ajax call, where the result data will be a number? I need to "Post" some data to an external website using HttpWebRequest object from my application(desktop) and get a response back into my application through HttpWebResponse object. But the webpage on which i m posting data have textboxes which have dynamic names. how can i get the name of those textboxes and post data in httpwebresquest. for example when i load the page the textbox name is like this "U2FsdGVkX183MTQyNzE0MrhLOmUpqd3eL60xF19RmCwLlSiG5nC1H6wvtBDhjI3uM1krX_B8Fwc" but when i refresh the page name change to this "U2FsdGVkX182MjMwNjIzMPAtotst_q9PP9TETomXB453Mq3M3ZY5HQt70ZeyxbRb118Y8GQbgP8" Thanks for any suggestions.

  • Simple ASP.NET MVC Routing question

    Hi there, I have two pages in my simple MVC App with two defined routes: routes.MapRoute( "Results", // Route name "Results/{id}", // URL with parameters new { controller = "Results", action = "Index", id = "" } // Parameter defaults ); routes.MapRoute( "Default", // Route name "{controller}/{action}/{id}", // URL with parameters new { controller = "Main", action = "Index", id = UrlParameter.Optional } // Parameter defaults ); I needed to have the results page load with just a product ID such as this: [MyDomain....]/Results/12345. But also the main page does a POST (using JQuery) to the Results Controller for updates using this route: [MyDomain....]/Main/Update along with a data bag. This works fine when I only have the "Default" route. But when I added the other "Results" route, all the POST calls to update are failing. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong??? Thanks a lot.

    I have built a basic data entry application allowing users to browse external content in iframe and enter data quickly from the same page. One of the data variables is the URL. Ideally I would like to be able to load the iframes current url into a textbox with javascript. I realize now that this is not going to happen due to security issues. Has anyone done anything on the server side? or know of any .Net browser in browser controls. The ultimate goal is to just give the user an easy method of extracting the url of the page they are viewing in the iframe It doesn't necessarily HAVE to be an iframe, a browser in the browser would be ideal.   • JQuery overlay - issues with opening twitter "Allow Access" box

    Hey guys I'm using Jquery flowplayer tools overlay to open external links. External links are working fine with this piece of code shown in the link: http://www.demiseonline.com/misc/Iframeoverlay.html Now using this overlay - I wanted to open the twitter dialog which asks users to Allow access to their account. So in the code below, I replaced http://www.google.com with https://twitter.com/oauth/authenticate?oauth_token=VPVRIsnRz9IX4CAab7brert3jHiEs <div class="apple_overlay black" id="Overlay1" <iframe src ="http://www.google.com" width="100%" height="595px" frameborder="0" </iframe </div When I replace the code, as soon as I load the page, even before I click on the link to open the overlay - the page gets redirected to the twitter URL. Any idea why that happens for this URL. Thanks

  • PHP getting blank pages after submit a form + signal Segmentation fault (11)

    I few days ago I update my macbook pro to snow leopard, and since then some php files are not showing. This is what happens: I created a php form, when going to 'http://localhost/webform.php' I can see the form just fine. Then, once I submit the form, I just get a blank page. I enable error and warnings reporting under php.ini to make sure I'm not missing something, but still I'm not getting anything, just the blank page. Then I checked under apache log files, and what I notice is that every time I submit the form I see the following line coming up under the apache logs: [Wed Apr 07 21:40:28 2010] [notice] child pid 70223 exit signal Segmentation fault (11) I'm clueless on this one. Any ideas on how to fix it?

The tree looks like this: SurfaceWindow --- Startscreen ..........................-------- Page---------- Subpage I'm trying to call a method from the "Subpage" from the "Code Behind" of the Startscreen(Startscreen.xaml.cs). The method from the Subpage looks like this: public void showTheme(ThemeViewModel theme) { ... } If know that I can call it when I'm on the "Page" or the "SurfaceWindow", because it's in the same "branch" of the tree, and I just do something like this: ThemeViewModel theme = (ThemeViewModel)mvm.CurrentItem.ThemeViewModel; katalog.katalogblatt.showTheme(theme); But how do I do it when I'm not on the same branch of the tree and want to call the method?

    Hello, I am having a form and many input elements in that. I want certain fields to be validated, so i keep validateLenth etc on those. And i want some fields to not be validated. For example, i have contact information and address information both on the same page. I want to treat contact information as one group. So if some fields are invalid they should not be submitted and address information to be independent of contact information. Thus, if address information is corrected it should be submitted. I have one form only on the page but two buttons, one for address and one for contact. Simply put :- What is the equivalent of validationGroup of Asp.Net in JSF?

    Hello, I have a very strange problem which I will be very thankful if someone would help me with. I have a form that has a textarea whose content is later transferred to a page that has a line like this (using DOM with php to change data on an XML file): $dom-getElementsByTagName("page")-item($itemNum)-getElementsByTagName("lang")-item(1)-getElementsByTagName("text")-item(0)-firstChild-data=$_POST['rus0']; The XML file in question looks like this: The strange thing happens when I upload it to the server and try to input Russian text, in which case it erases the CDATA completely and results in And, weirdly, the thing works fine on my own server emulator (I'm using MAMP with php 5, the remote server also has php 5) - in my machine inputing Russian works fine. Any ideas what's going on in this?

  • How do I enable code coverage in Visual Studio 2005?

    I have looked at this question; http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2872158/ and the F1 page, but that doesn't help me much. I have set the profiling on and rebuilt, but I can't find the 'Data and Diagnostics' page, or see anything which resembles a coverage data file in the project folder. What I am trying to do get an equivalent to 'gcov' on a Linux platform, get a chart of how much code is being missed by the test suite. I'm using Visual Studio 2005 Professional Edition and UnitTest++ as the test framework. Any help would be most welcome.

    Can anyone help me to figure out how to scrawl file hosting website like filefactory.com? I don't want to download all the file hosted but just to index all available files with scrapy. I have read the tutorial and docs with respect to spider class for scrapy. If I only give the website main page as the begining url I wouldn't not scrawl the whole site, because the scrawling depends on links but the begining page seems not point to any file pages. That's the problem I am thinking and any help would be appreciated!

  • Duplicate ID/indexes and looping

    I realize having two elements in the same html doc with the same ID is wrong, bad, immoral, and will lead to global warming. But... I'm trying to write an XSS widgit, so I really have no control over the quality of the parent web page. I loop through document.images to retrieve a list of images on the page. I perform an action on each one. for(img in document.images){ ... } i've also tried for(var i=0;i<document.images.length;i++){ ... } in both cases it allows me to loop through all of the elements, BUT when trying trying to reference an object with a duplicate ID, I always get the first (in order of the html). When using debugger in IE8 i'm able to see that both elements ARE listed, but that they both have the same index (in IE the index of the document.images is either sequential or matches the image ID) Does anyone have a better solution?

    Hi, I don't know if my question will be clear or not, but i'm starting basic stuff with iphone programming, and i'm trying to understand how to go from a screen to another. lets say i have a screen with a "next page" button and another page with a "return" button. I have a general idea of how to do this, but I don't know how to put it together. I think I need an IBAction method for each button, and in each method a navigation controller with pushViewController.   • Jscrollpane causese text to disappear on internet explorer

    Basically I need to find all elements on the page that have a scrollbar (vertical or horizontal) How to tell if an element has a scrollbar and can actually be scrolled? I found this code snippet on jsperf. Is it possible to capture the logic behind the code into and XPath expression? Or are there any other ways to check for scrollbars? Added: Just to explain what I'm trying to do: I'm developing extension for Firefox. Basically it introduces Vim-style mouseless shortcuts (I know there is Vimperator and Pentadactyl...). One of the features I'd like to implement is to allow the use to select the container that's scrolled with j/k keys. That's why I need to discover all scrollable elements on any given random page.

But my problem is, my page has multiple link_button and blueflip div's all over the page. when i click any one of link_button all of the blueflip div's are toggling.
