The problem is that, on display there is only one OPTION in the SELECT and the rest of the order's publicId s are displayed as normal text below the SELECT box and not an OPTION to select. I found out that the publicId actually contains a String like A10/0001/0 and that is the character "/" is most probably causing the problem. Any solutions/suggestion/ideas?

  Hi, i'm trying to make a scrollable box, when a mouse enters and STAYS on "wrapper"'s area, "pubsBox" moves 10 pixels to the left. <mx:Canvas id="wrapper" height="80" width="750"> <mx:HBox id="pubsBox" horizontalGap="10" height="80" width="100%" /> </mx:Canvas> My problem is that I'm not sure how to make the MouseEvent.MOUSE_OVER work, to recognize that the mouse is still ON the area and so pubsBox should continue to move 10 pixels to the left every second. I understand that i have to use a Timer, but what I'm concerned about is the fact that I can't get Flex to recognize that the mouse is still OVER "wrapper" and continue firing the event. Any ideas?

• Adding unique objects to Core Data

  I'm working on an iPhone app that gets a number of objects from a database. I'd like to store these using Core Data, but I'm having problems with my relationships. A Detail contains any number of POIs (points of interest). When I fetch a set of POI's from the server, they contain a detail ID. In order to associate the POI with the Detail (by ID), my process is as follows: Query the ManagedObjectContext for the detailID. If that detail exists, add the poi to it. If it doesn't, create the detail (it has other properties that will be populated lazily). The problem with this is performance. Performing constant queries to Core Data is slow, to the point where adding a list of 150 POI's takes a minute thanks to the multiple relationships involved. In my old model, before Core Data (various NSDictionary cache objects) this process was super fast (look up a key in a dictionary, then create it if it doesn't exist) I have more relationships than just this one, but pretty much every one has to do this check (some are many to many, and they have a real problem). Does anyone have any suggestions for how I can help this? I could perform fewer queries (by searching for a number of different ID's), but I'm not sure how much this will help.   So, lets say you have two SQL Server Databases on the same server that reference each others tables in their Views, Functions and Stored Procedures. You know, things like this: use database_foo create view spaghetti as select f.col1, c.col2 from fusilli f inner join database_bar.dbo.conchigli c on f.id = c.id (I know that cross-database views are not very good practice, but lets just say you're stuck with it) Are there any good techniques to avoid 'hard coding' the database names? (So that should you need to occasionally re-point to a different database - for testing perhaps - you don't need to edit loads of views, fns, sps) I'm interested in SQL 2005 or SQL 2008 solutions.   I have the below sql query that will update the the values from a form to the database $sql="update leads set category='$Category',type='$stype',contactName='$ContactName',email='$Email',phone='$Phone',altphone='$PhoneAlt',mobile='$Mobile',fax='$Fax',address='$Address',city='$City',country='$Country',DateEdited='$today',printed='$Printed',remarks='$Remarks' where id='$id'"; $result=mysql_query($sql) or die(mysql_error()); echo '<h1>Successfully Updated!!.</h1>'; when i submit I dont get any errors and the success message is displayed but the database isnt updated . When i echo the $sql, all the values are set properly. and when i ech the $result i get the value 1. can someone please tell me what am i doing wrong here??

• Protecting Data Feed for iPhone App

  I am creating an App that pulls data from a file on my server. That file gets data from my database, based on GET values that are passed through the URL. I would like to keep this feed closed - that is, I don't want people finding the datasource and reading the data on their own. I considered sending an alphanumeric id along with the url string, but if they can find the URL that I am calling, then there won't be anything preventing them from grabbing that alphanumeric id also. I am looking for any ideas or experiences that might help me here. Thanks.

I've figured out a way to actually upload the file, but I'm not sure how reliable it us.   History: I created a key and pem file on Amazon. I created a private bucket I created a public distribution and used origin id to connect to the private bucket: works I created a private distribution and connected it the same as #3 - now I get access denied: expected I'm having a really hard time generating a url that will work.
