  • Associating a modifyable settings file with a class library in C# ?

    I have a class library(abc.dll) in which i have used a settings file. An exe (app.exe) references this class library. At runtime if i want to change the values of the settings without having to rebuild the class library/application, what is the best way to approach this problem ? In my current approach the setting values get embeded in the library, and thus i dont see any way to update them without rebuilding the whole thing.

But i want to know, When i start the server from where the server starts deploying my application. that is which is the entry point to start loading my classes, properties ,DB connections etc..     Ok I seem to have got the most of the problem solved, I just need an expert eye to pick my error as I am stuck. I have a file of length [125 X 27] and I want to convert it to a file of length [144 x 27]. Now, I want to replace the missing files (time stamps) rows of zeros.   • Regular Expression to replace a pattern at runtime(C#3.0)

    I have a requirement. I have some files in a folder among which some file names looks like say **EUDataFiles20100503.txt, MigrateFiles20101006.txt.** Basically these are the files that I need to work upon. Now I have a config file where it is mentioned as the file pattern type as EUDataFilesYYYYMMDD, MigrateFilesYYYYMMDD. Basically the idea is that, the user can configure the file pattern and based on the pattern mentioned, I need to search for those files that are present in the folder. i.e. at runtime the YYYYMMDD will get replaced by the Year Month and Date Values. It does not matter what dates will be there(but not with time stamp ; only dates)). And the EUDataFiles or MigrateFiles names will be there.(they are fixed) i.e. If the folder has a file name as EUDataFile20100504.txt(i.e. Year 2010, Month 05, Day 04) , I should ignore this file as it is not EUDataFiles20100504.txt (kindly note that the name is plural - File(s) and not file for which the system will ignore the file). Similarly, if the Pattern given as EUDataFilesYYYYMMDD and if the file present is of type EUDataFilesYYYYDDMM then also the system should ignore. How can I solve this problem? Is it doable using regular expression(Replacing the pattern at runtime)? If so can anyone be good enough in helping me out? I am using C#3.0 and dotnet framework 3.5. Thanks

    Hi, Need help regarding re. file = 'file No.WR79050107006 from files' So what I am trying to do is validate if file string contains WR + 11 digit. result = re.match('^(\S| )*(?P<sr>(\d){11})(\S| )*', file) Its validate only 11 digit but not WR before it. How can I do that? Using re after matching how can I get the match value ( WR79050107006) I can do string find index = file.find('file No.') and then get the value of next 13 char. thanks

  • Using Ant how can I dex a directory of jars?

    I have a directory full of jars (felix bundles). I want to iterate through all of these jars and create dex'd versions. My intent is to deploy each of these dex'd jars as standalone apk's since they are bundles. Feel free to straighten me out if I am approaching this from the wrong direction. This first part is just to try and create a corresponding .dex file for each jar. However when I run this I am getting a "no resources specified" error coming out of Ant. Is this the right approach, or is there a simpler approach to just input a jar and output a dex'd version of that jar?   • taglib# returns wrong duration

    I'm getting the duration of an MP3 file in this way: TagLib.File file = TagLib.File.Create(fileName); var duration = file.Properties.Duration; and it is consistently giving me a duration between 68 and 75% of the real duration. Windows File Manager, VLC and just playing the MP3 and measuring with a stopwatch agree on the other duration. Any ideas what's wrong here?

  • PHP Launch Execute Files Concurrently

    Hi all. Basically, I was doing some testing using apache bench. The file i was testing takes 2 seconds to execute (its optimised, it connects to an external server hence the slowdown) Basically I found that the more concurrent useres i emulated, the more executions of the file i could do per second. Is there anyway that i can do something like this in php? : <?php execute_file('file.php'); execute_file('file.php'); execute_file('file.php'); execute_file('file.php'); execute_file('file.php'); ?> That would execute the file 5 times but would NOT wait for the files to finish downloading so the above example would quickly call the 5 functions then exit. Im assuming somesort of timeout would be used?
