    The Lucene documents tell me that "Hits" will be removed from the API in Lucene 3.0. Deprecated. Hits will be removed in Lucene 3.0. Use search(Query, Filter, int) instead. The proposed overload limits the number of documents returned to the value of the int. So my question is: what is the recommended way to perform a search in Lucene with no limit on the number of documents to be returned?

  • call & execute the shell script within expect script

    #!/usr/bin/expect spawn ssh derrick@$abc123.net expect "password" send "helloworld\n" send "cd /tmp\n" send "sh rename.sh\n" # this shell script will get a list of files and rename each file send "exit\n" expect eof The problem is when 'rename.sh' started and within less than 3 seconds, the 'expect' script exits while 'rename.sh' is not yet done executed. My question is how can I make my expect script to wait for the finish of 'rename.sh' execution?

    A very basic question, but after reading the "Design Patterns: Elements of reusable OO Software" book, I'm a little confused. The book states, "An object's type only refers to its interface-the set of request to which it can respond. An object can have many types, and objects of different classes can have the same type." Could someone please better explain what a Type is? I also don't understand how one object can have multiple types...unless the book is speaking of polymorphism....

    AFAIK accessing thumbnails for images via MediaStore.Images.Thumbnails would generate thumbnails at first attempt, and that's what i need to perform against specific location on sd card. The question is how to make valid URI to content under specific folder? All answers i can find use just MediaStore.Images.Thumbnails.EXTERNAL_CONTENT_URI as uri to make managedQuery. And result of it is Cursor that points to all sdcard images, while none examples can be found on how to access only specific folder.

    Hey SO, I've got a pretty noob question for ya. I keep seeing this syntax: <%= Html.LabelFor(model => model.Email) %> ...and I have no idea what the = means. I thought it was syntax for linq2sql or ado.net entity framework but I'm just using straight ado.net. I don't understand why the VWD used that syntax when generating the Create form. What does = mean?
