• Subversion - Retrieval of mergeinfo unsupported

  Hi, I've recently updated my Subversion package on Debian Etch to 1.5.1 via a back-port. I've gone through what I believe are all the appropriate steps but cannot for the life of me get past the following error message when I try to merge: Retrieval of mergeinfo unsupported by '.' The '.' isn't important as I get the same message whether I'm SSH'd on to the server or using TortoiseSVN through Windows. I'll take you through what I did to upgrade and test step by step: Update of Subversion Added the following line to /etc/apt/sources.list: deb http://www.backports.org/debian etch-backports main contrib non-free and then ran apt-get -s -t etch-backports install subversion Checked the version of the subversion installation Done this by running svnadmin --version and got the following output: svnadmin, version 1.5.1 (r32289) compiled Dec 11 2008, 18:10:14 Checked the client too using svn --version and got the following svn, version 1.5.1 (r32289) compiled Dec 11 2008, 18:10:14 Ok, so all looking good so far. Now I just need to upgrade the repository. After plenty of research, the most foolproof way to do this seemed to be to dump the repository and then load it again. So here's what I did: svnadmin dump /var/svn/repo > repo.dump rm -aR /var/svn/repo/* svnadmin create /var/svn/repo svnadmin load < repo.dump All that seemed to work fine. I then checked to see if the repository had been upgraded by looking at the contents of /var/svn/repo/db/format which gave: 3 layout sharded 1000 Again this indicated a Subversion 1.5 repository so all looking good. Now I try and do a merge using the Subversion client in Debian: svn mergeinfo https://mysvn/repo . and I get the following error: svn: Retrieval of mergeinfo unsupported by '.' I get the same error message whether I'm using the Debian shell on the same server or if I'm connecting via TortoiseSVN and a Windows box. If I browse to the repository using my web browser, the version number at the bottom reads: Powered by Subversion version 1.4.2 (r22196). In case it helps, the created date on mod_dav_svn.so is 2009-08-06 18:29 I just cannot figure out why I'm getting this message so any help pointing me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. All the forum and mailing list posts that I found relating to this error were solved by doing an svnadmin upgrade, though I have actually tried that and still no joy. Thanks in advance, James.

  Just moved to Grails 1.2.1 (used 1.1.1 before). Changed application.properties, ran grails upgrade, fixed BuildConfig and Bootstrap - everything works just fine from grails console. • How can I access an ASP.Net 2.0 web service using VB Script?

  I'm trying to find a way to access a web service from a VB Script .vbs file running under wscript.exe. I pulled some sample code from Microsoft but it gives me an error. Dim SOAPClient, Response Set SOAPClient = createobject("MSSOAP.SOAPClient") SOAPClient.mssoapinit("https://www.domain.com/Folder/Service.asmx?WSDL") On that last line I get an error message: WSDLReader: No valid schema specification was found. This version of the SOAP Toolkit only supports 1999 and 2000 XSD schema specifications After getting that message I installed the SOAP 3.0 SDK to make sure I have the most recent version (since it's now deprecated for .Net) but I still get the same error. The reason it needs to be in VB Script is because it's going to be used in a program over which I have no control and it only supports VB Script. Is there a way to get VB Script to be able to parse a newer WSDL file? I do have the source code for the web service. Is there something I can change in the web service to make it schema compatible with the SOAP toolkit?

• Linux shared library that uses a shared library undefined symbol

  two shared libraries liba.so and libb.so. liba.so uses libb.so. All c files are compiled with -fPIC. Linking uses -shared. When we call dlopen on liba.so it cannot find symbols in libb.so...we get the "undefined symbol" error. We can dlopen libb.so with no errors. We know that liba is finding libb because we don't get a file not found error. We get a file not found error when we delete libb.so. We tried -lutil and no luck. Any ideas???? oh yeah. gcc 4.1.2

  I am getting the following error: Could not load file or assembly 'System.Web.DynamicData, Version=3.5.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35' or one of its dependencies.   I've previously in my setup installed SQL Server Express 2005. Now I've switched to SQL Server Express 2008. I updated the command line parameters to those documented for the latter. If the comp already has SQL Server Express 2008 installed, my installer should create a new instance. The command line parameters are as follows: /ACTION=Install /FEATURES=SQLEngine /QS /INSTANCENAME=ABCD /SECURITYMODE=SQL /SAPWD=CunningPassword The requested instance name does not exist on the target machine. This will end in an error -2068643838. The logs show the following error: "No features were installed during the setup execution. The requested features may already be installed." If I remove the /QS parameter and try to install interactively, I'll get as far as the Feature Selection page. The UI shows three options, Instance Features, Shared Features and Redistributable Features. Whatever I select, clicking Next results in the same error (There are validation errors on this page).   Hello, I am getting an error I do not understand. I am using File:Find to recurse a fylesystem on Windows using Activestate Perl 5.8.8 and trying to stat $File::Find::name; so I am not stat-ing a filename got from a text file scanning requiring chomp-ing or newline removing. I was unable to get file modification time, the mtime in: my ($dev,$ino,$mode,$nlink,$uid,$gid,$rdev,$size,$atime,$mtime,$ctime,$blksize,$blocks) = stat($File::Find::name); so trying a -s $File::Find::name gives me the error: Unsuccessful stat on filename containing newline A typical file name found is F01-01-10 Num 0-00000.pdf but I get the same error even renaming in E02.pdf

• Connecting to Python XML RPC from the Mac

  Hi, I wrote an XML RPC server in python and a simple Test Client for it in python. The Server runs on a linux box. I tested it by running the python client on the same linux machine and it works. I then tried to run the python client on a Mac and i get the following error socket.error: (61, 'Connection Refused') I can ping and ssh into the linux machine from the Mac.   I have Master/Slave setup using Win2k8R with SVN 1.6.9 and using TortoiseSVN 1.6.7. The access is through Apache and using http. Everything works but when I commit I get the following message: Error: post-commit hook failed (exit code 1) with output: Error: The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process. This happen when using multiple TortoiseSVN dialog for committing the files in rapid succession. If I use one TortoiseSVN dialog and wait till the commit reply is back then I won't see the problem. In other words, committing one at the time cause no issue. The post-commit script output is logged. Even though I get the above error but when I check the Master and Slave repository the files have been replicated okay with no issue. I am wondering how this issue can be solved.

  Does anybody know how to find offending web part which causes this error ? “A Web Part or Web Form Control on this Web Part Page cannot be displayed or imported because it is not registered on this site as safe.” I have inherited an old SharePoint 2003 portal site which uses custom web parts. I know what this error means. I also know that each web part must be installed and registred as safe in web.config. The problem is that I don't know which one is missing. • ubuntu 10.04 logs itself out overnight

  Every night when I leave work, I lock the screen via ubuntu's "power" button in the top right hand panel. When I come to work in the morning, I'm greeted with the log-in screen.
