• How do I get all values from a listbox that are not selected in ASP.NET MVC

  Hello, I have a form that (amongst other things) contains 2 multi-select listboxes. Basically you can add items to the one on the right from the full list of items on the left using some add/remove buttons. The problem is that I cannot see a way of picking up the contents of the listbox when posting back to the controller. I have followed this example: http://ittecture.wordpress.com/2009/04/30/tip-of-the-day-198-asp-net-mvc-listbox-controls/ This works fine if you have actually selected the items in the listbox before posting. That's not really the way I think this UI should behave though. Hope that makes sense, Nick

• how to use ob_start?

  Hello I am using PHPSavant templating system for a project and I am not sure how to use ob_start in this. I have tried before .. for example, page_header.php -- ob_start(); page_footer.php -- ob_end_flush(); But because now I am using a templating system.. am not sure where to put these function. $template = new Savant3(); $template->some_var = $some_value; $template->display('default_template'); the default_template contains all of and populate section using some variables (set to $template object). Should I be using ob_start and ob_end_flush where my html code is or to include on each and every php file which calls to this template? Any ideas? thanks.

  Hello, I am trying to find every "a - b, c, d" pattern in an input string. The pattern I am using is the following : "^[ \t]*(\\w+)[ \t]*->[ \t]*(\\w+)(,[ \t]*\\w+)*$" The input is : a -> b b -> c c -> d The function is : private void ParseAndBuildGraph(String input) { MatchCollection mc = Regex.Matches(input, "^[ \t]*(\\w+)[ \t]*->[ \t]*(\\w+)(,[ \t]*\\w+)*$", RegexOptions.Multiline); foreach (Match m in mc) { Debug.WriteLine(m.Value); } } The output is : c -> d Actually, there is a problem with the line ending "$" special char. If I insert a "\r" before "$", it works, but I thought "$" would match any line termination (with the Multiline option), especially a \r\n in a Windows environment. Is it not the case ?

  Hello Everyone I just installed TFS2010, and set it up with the single server wizard. It installed me Sharepoint Services an let everything working pretty well. But, the sharepoint URLs it generates from the Server name "server". As my setup is without a domain, the URLs work okay only from the server computer, not from the others. I have to give access to LAN clients, and Internet Clients, both connected thought my Public Ip. How can I change those sharepoint IPs from TFS to be generated From the IP, not from the Server's name?? Thanks in advance

• How to get a non-XML output using JDOM XSLTransformer?

  Hello, I have an XML file which I'd like to parse into a non-XML (text) file based on a XLST file. The code in both seem correct, and it works when testing manually, but I'm having a problem doing this programatically. I'm using JDOM's XSLTransformer class to apply the XSLT to the XML and it returns it in the format of a JDOM Document. The problem here is that I can't seem to access anything in the Document as it is not a proper XML file and I get a "java.lang.IllegalStateException: Root element not set" error. Is there a better way within Java to obtain a non-XML file as a result of XSLT?

• VS2010 Clean Web.configs - not updating

  Hello, I'm messing around with MVC 2.0 on VS2010 and am having an issue getting the clean web config feature working. Basically in my Web.debug.config I have <connectionStrings xdt:Transform="Replace"> <add name="ApplicationServices" connectionString="Server=localhost;Database=SITE_DB;User ID=dbuser;Password=P@ssw0rd;Trusted_Connection=False;" /> </connectionStrings> and in my Web.config I have <connectionStrings> <add name="ApplicationServices" connectionString="data source=.\SQLEXPRESS;Integrated Security=SSPI;AttachDBFilename=|DataDirectory|aspnetdb.mdf;User Instance=true" providerName="System.Data.SqlClient" /> </connectionStrings> When I run the site in debug mode, I'd expect that xdt:Transform="Replace" would replace the entire connectionStrings section with what is in the Web.debug.config. Am I assuming wrong? Or am I doing something else incorrect. Not much info posted around this and I'd figure I'd ask you guys.

  Hello. I would like to know if there's a combo like jCryption ([jCryption]) - PHP but for jQuery - ASPX. I mean, I have been searching for a combo to send data both ways (Client-server, server-client) with jQuery to ASPX. The best I found was jCryption that sends data from JavaScrpit to PHP. I need a combo to send data from JavaScrpit to ASPX. Any ideas?? PD: Please don't tell me to use HTTPS, it's not enough to ensure the data communication on a client - server application.

I to do next: Create a WebClient; Use WebClient's method DownloadData to get a source of page in byte array; Get string from source-html byte array and set it to the newsletter content.   Hello, guys! I have a problem and I dont know what is better solution. Okay, I have 2 tables: posts(id, title), posts_tags(post_id, tag_id). I have next task: must select posts with tags ids for example 4, 10 and 11. Not exactly, post could have any other tags at the same time. So, how I could do it more optimized? Creating temporary table in each query? Or may be some kind of stored procedure? In the future, user could ask script to select posts with any count of tags (it could be 1 tag only or 10 at the same time) and I must be sure that method that I will choose would be the best method for my problem. Sorry for my english, thx for attention.

  Hello! I write a simple OLAP viewer for my web-site. Here are the classes (abstract example): Employee { ID; Name; Roles[]; //What Employee can do } Order { Price; Employee Manager; Employee Executive; //Maybe wrong english. The person which perform order } Employee can be Manager and Executive in the order at the same time. This means that Employee role is not fixed. I have to group orders by employees and finally get IGrouping with Employee key. So .GroupBy(el=new {el.Manager,el.Executive}) is not allowed. I considered some tricks with IEqualityComparable, but found no solution. If somrbody will help I'll be vary glad, thank you.

I can't determine where the UndeclaredThrowableException is coming from. • iPhone Internationalization. What is the simplest workflow for me?

  Hello, I am wising up and getting my internationalization act together. Right off the bat I am a bit swamped by all the docs Apple provides so I was wondering of someone could sketch a workflow for my situation. Before I begin, I browsed some Apple example code and noticed this NIB file - MainWindow.xib - in the Resources folder: This clearly has something to do with internationalization/localization. Could someone please explain how this is created and where in the workflow it happens? My app is fundamentally an imaging app with a few labels that I currently programmatically internationalize using NSLocalizedString(...). If I set all my labels programmatically and wrap all my strings with NSLocalizedString(...) can I completely ignore the NIB issues? Thanks in advance, Doug

  Hello, I'm using winforms of .NET & C#. I'm developing a medical software. I need to implement "Patient History". When doctor enters the PatientID. All the previous appointment dates will be displayed in a side panel. These entries will dynamically fetched from the database. Interface will be more or less similar to Histroy in web browser. Except that I'm not going to use tree control and categorize entries into 'today' 'yesterday' 'older than 7 days' 'last week' etc.. What controls do I need to use. I'm not clear about this.   Hello. I have a CFC as singletone object in Application scope. One of the methods is used for massive data processing and periodically causes the "Java heap space" errors. EDIT All variables inside the method are VAR-scoped, so they should not be kept in the object scope when invokation ended. It can be a bit dumb question for Java people, but I'd like to know how Java garbage collector cleans up the CFC methods memory: only when whole request ends, or maybe right after each method/function invokation? Second option is interesting because it can allow me to split my large method into the few, as one of the possible optimizations.

  Hello! we are tying to port a J2EE app from OAS 9.0.4 (working perfectly) on OAS 10.1.3.5 the reson we do that is because we need the app compiled with java 1.5 and OAS 10.1.3.5 would be the single major version supporting that binaries which has oc4j/orion kernel. The issue is that the security constraints in matter of user/group/role are not read by the app server, and instead of asking for these sets of users, i have to use the oc4jadmin instead the selected users for auth. All xml files needed for describing these sets of rules are being checked with the OAS book, and it seems they are correctly filled in... anybody has an idea about this?

  Hello, I have an NSImageView which is set to editable. I would like to be able to revert to a default image when the user deletes the image. I've tried changing the value that the NSImageView is bound to in the setter, but the getter is not called afterwards, so the NSImageView is blank, despite the bound value being set to another image.   I'm quite new to Qt and am wondering on some basic stuff with memory management and the life of objects. When do I need to delete / destroy my objects? Is any of this handled automatically? In the example below, which of the objects I create do I need to delete? What happens to the instance variable myOtherClass when myClass is destroyed? What happens if I don't delete / destroy my objects at all, will that be a problem to memory? in MyClass.h: class MyClass { public: MyClass(); ~MyClass(); MyOtherClass *myOtherClass; }; in MyClass.cpp: MyClass::MyClass() { myOtherClass = new MyOtherClass(); MyOtherClass myOtherClass2; QString myString = "Hello"; } As you can see this is quite newbie-easy stuff but where can I learn about this in an easy way? • HTTP Content-type header for cached files

  Hello, Using Apache with mod_rewrite, when I load a .css or .js file and view the HTTP headers, the Content-type is only set correctly the first time I load it - subsequent refreshes are missing Content-type altogether and it's creating some problems for me. I can get around this by appending a random query string value to the end of each filename, eg. http://www.site.com/script.js?12345 However, I don't want to have to do that, since caching is good and all I want is for the Content-type to be present. I've tried using a RewriteRule to force the type but still didn't solve the problem. Any ideas? Thanks, Brian
