  • Changing the cell range of conditional formatting in LibreOffice Calc

    Is there any way of changing the range of conditional formatting in LibreOffice Calc (version 3.6)? I have a set applied already to a range of cells, but there is no obvious way of changing which cells a given set of conditional formatting is applied to. I either have to copy and paste the formatting, which results in multiple entries in the conditional formatting (which makes it difficult to manage), or delete the entire thing and create a new one every single time I want to change the range of cells.   • IntelliJ with Maven compilation

    I have a project that needs Hibernate jars. I added them as dependencies in the pom.xml and Maven compiles my project well. However, in the IDE, all annotations and calls to Hibernate API are marked as unresolved (red). How could I get IntelliJ being able to resolve them ? Is there a way to use Maven when I click on Build Project ? (ctrl+F9) Also, I am confused with the concept of facets within IntelliJ. Do I need them, let's say JPA facets to enable Persistence assistant etc... or there's an option to let Maven take care about ?

    I have a survey with the following form fields: Country Age Male/Female Undergraduate/Graduate Question? Yes No If No, what about this and that? Yes No Google Forms and SurveyMonkey don't seem to allow things like the above. For question one I could ask, "What country are you from?" with a textbox as an answer section and work around it. But how do I go about creating questions five and six? I am not able to figure out how to do it except for having one more question that says "If your answer to the previous question was No, then blah blah (else skip this question)". Any suggestions, apart from creating my own custom website with JavaScript and a backend database?

    First of all i am a newbie to Ubuntu Linux and have been trying to install and compile FFMPEG on an Ubuntu machine... I am trying to compile FFMPEG on an Ubuntu machine, using the following link reference: https://ffmpeg.org/trac/ffmpeg/wiki/UbuntuCompilationGuide I have already install git packages from resource centre whatever it results in search... Whatever i am trying to clone to is showing the below error... and please note that the network is wireless and connected with full bandwidth and i am able to browse through website and not sure why its showing an error as unable to connect and connection timed out.... root@ubuntu:~# cd root@ubuntu:~# git clone --depth 1 git://github.com/mstorsjo/fdk-aac.git Cloning into 'fdk-aac'... fatal: unable to connect to github.com: github.com[0: 207.97.227.239]: errno=Connection timed out Tried these commands as well to install x264 lib: cd git clone --depth 1 git://git.videolan.org/x264 cd x264 I am doing all this as a root user.     So I have a method that's something like this: -(BOOL)isSingleValueRecord And another method like this: -(Type)typeOfSingleValueRecord And it occurred to me that I could combine them into something like this: -(id)isSingleValueRecord And have the implementation be something like this: -(id)isSingleValueRecord { //If it is single value if(self.recordValue = 0) { //Do some stuff to determine type, then return it return typeOfSingleValueRecord; } //If its not single value else { //Return "NO" return [NSNumber numberWithBool:NO]; } } So combining the two methods makes it more efficient but makes the readability go down. In my gut, I feel like I should go with the two-method version, but is that really right? Is there any case that I should go with the combined version?

  • Compilation problem [closed]

    I am trying to compile a program called Triangle Mesh Generator. It is an open source code written in ANSI C. I need it to bo a callable lib so I am using a switch (#define) created by it's Author. However I get this error: /usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-linux-gnu/4.6/../../../x86_64-linux-gnu/crt1.o: In function `_start': collect2: ld returned 1 exit status make: *** [triangle] Error 1 I am not sure why such an error occurs. Worth adding is that compiling it as a stand alone program is succesful. I am using GCC on 12.04. The lines quoted above constitute the total output. What I put in the terminal is just make in the proper folder. There are no other errors, warnings, or other messages. Link to the sources I found some additional instructions. I'll get back after reading them :] EDIT: I have found some additional instructions that let me compile it. Thanks for help. I am closing question right now. Regards

  • Gridview - Conditional Images

    This Gridview sample shows how to, for each row, based on other data within that row, to show a different image. We do this by creating a TemplateField, and putting an ASP.Net Image control within it, called 'Image1'. Then, inside the RowDataBound event of the Gridview, we put code, which first, checks and finds the Image control in that row, and then assigning a different JPG file to the ImageURL property of that image. One other thing here, you'll notice, is that when the criteria is matched, we set the Image control's Visible property to 'True'. That's because, one extra criteria is, that if the Units In Stock is larger than 80, we set the Image control's Visible property to 'False'. Naturally, since we're checking one particular column in the Gridview for this data, we're using a Select Case statement.

The most logical way I can think is that they are iterating trough all elements of the list until they find one that matches the condition :) For example if you call function_exists(), PHP should iterate trough all defined functions until it meets the one that matches the name you're looking for. Is this true that this is the only way? If it is, it sounds like it's not very efficient :s

    I'm looking for a macro that specified the exact version of the iPhone SDK used for compilation. This is needed because when compiling with (and only with) SDK 3.0, I need to add some additional code. __IPHONE_OS_VERSION_MIN_REQUIRED is not the right choice here, since it can be set by the user with parameter -mmacosx-version-min. For example, a user can compile with min version -mmacosx-version-min=3.0 in SDK 3.1, so a check for __IPHONE_OS_VERSION_MIN_REQUIRED == 30000 would be true, even if the user is compiling with SDK 3.1. Let me elaborate - If a piece of conditional code can be written by checking whether an expression is true or false, we should check the 'trueness'. Example: Finding out whether a number is odd - it can be done in two ways: if ( num % 2 != 0 ) { // Number is odd } or if ( num % 2 == 1 ) { // Number is odd } When I was beginning to code, I knew that num % 2 == 0 implies the number is even, so I just put a ! there to check if it is odd. But he was like 'Don't check NOT conditions. Have the practice of checking the 'trueness' or 'equality' of conditions whenever possible.' And he recommended that I use the second piece of code. I am not for or against either but I just wanted to know - what difference does it make? Please don't reply 'Technically the output will be the same' - we ALL know that. Is it a general programming practice or is it his own programming practice that he is preaching to others?

  • Excel Conditional Formatting Multiple Data Bars and Data Icons in one cell

    I am using Excel 2007 on a windows machine. I am attempting to place one data bar and one data icon into a cell under the conditional formatting. The issue is that I don't really want to have data icons or data bars for cells that have dates in the future and I only want to have data icons for dates in the at least one month in the past. This is what I have: This is what I want: I am using the EOMONTH function to determine the last day of the month for the conditional formatting calculations. For the data bar the formula is =EOMONTH(Now(), 4) and =EOMONTH(Now(), -1). The data icons formulas are =EOMONTH(Now(), -1) and =EOMONTH(Now(), -2) Is there a way in Excel 2007 to get rid of the data icons for all the dates in the future and lose the data bars when the date has past.     Hi everyone. I’m almost giving up, this will be my last try: I try to compile Etherpad on my OpenVZ server. It’s running a Debian 5.0 as the host system, in the VE I’ve got Ubuntu 10.04. I installed Etherpad in this VE with the instructions from the official Ubuntu Wiki: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Etherpad. Everything runs fine until it comes to compilation. After calling bin/build.sh as described in the wiki the first steps are running fine. But then I’m running into a memory error: java.io.IOException: Cannot run program "cp": java.io.IOException: error=12, Cannot allocate memory Well, I understand the error message but don’t see the cause. The command free tells me that there’s plenty memory left in this VE: total used free shared buffers cached Mem: 2415236 1140872 1274364 0 0 0 -/+ buffers/cache: 1140872 1274364 Swap: 0 0 0 Beautiful. But even repeating the compilation process doesn’t bring me any further. Any help would be appreciated.
