    We are looking for a way to integrate a feed aggregator (planet) into a Django site. Ideally, the planet should integrate as part of a page of the site as a whole, rather than a standalone page like all other plants I've seen. We could use an iframe, but then style won't match. The best way might be something that just returns a raw list of last N feed items, which we then insert into a template. Does anyone have any suggestions of how we can achieve this?

Is it possible, and is there any benefit, in adding the remainder of my payment options; American Express, Delta, Maestro etc. <g:payment_accepted>Visa</g:payment_accepted> <g:payment_accepted>MasterCard</g:payment_accepted> I can't find anything in the specification that mentions the payment methods.     Hello All: I just downloaded the latest FBConnect build, popped in my keys and getting a mysterious hanging error only when I try to post a feed without previewing (setting preview to zero). The activity indicated disappears and the blank dialog window just hangs there. (This mirrors what I was getting on the app I was developing). If I try to post a feed with preview it works; set preview to zero it just hangs. Again; thats with the sample project "Publish Feed" button. Hitting getting permission button and then Publish Feed does same thing...... Other Developers have confirmed seeing this too...Apps that have previously had working feed posts have been broken for weeks. Discussions on facebook connect forum seem to be related to this. That package is no longer in the repositories, but I assume there’s a different package meant to support fingerprint readers in thinkfinger’s place. What is the recommended fingerprint reader package? Should I just find thinkfinger on my own and use that instead?   • Adobe Reader XI doesn't allow the editing of fields in a document after it's been edited?

    One of the users at our company has a *.pdf file she received from the state of Pennsylvania. The version of Adobe Reader she is using is Adobe Reader XI 11.0.3. She uses this pdf file to send in a report. Her workflow goes like this: She makes a copy of the file. She opens the file and the file displays in purple at the top: Please fill out the following form. You can save data typed into this form. Highlight Existing Fields She fills in the specifics by entering values into the form fields. A few weeks later she returns to the same pdf document and can no longer edit the fields, instead she gets the following message: "This document enabled extended features in Adobe Reader. The document has been changed since it was created and use of extended features is no longer available. Please contact the author for the original version of this document." She's also running Windows 7 and I've been told that the issue was once fixed by setting compatibility mode on Adobe Reader XI to Windows XP SP3.

  • Is there a way to allow continuous scrolling in Adobe Reader?

    I am having to read through a MASSIVE (1000+ page) PDF specification in Adobe Reader X (version 10). It has always bugged me that if you scroll to the edge of a page, the Reader automatically jumps to the top of the next page. Is there away to cut this off so that when I reach the bottom of one page, the edge of the page meets the top of the next page and I can see a half-page of both the last and next page? I know that MS Word can and does behave this way. Can I change a setting to scroll the document in this manner in Adobe Reader?

    Thunderbird is a good rss reader in terms of being able to connect successfully to jira authenticated search feeds (where evolution-rss and Liferea can't), but really sucks when it comes to updating. A Jira search feed will give a link id to http://jira/browse/[ticket no], and if that ticket/feed-item is updated, thunderbird refuses to update it - it already has it! (even though the item date does not match). Also, if you delete the ticket update, it will never show up again for that news account. Has anybody found an RSS reader that can work with JIRA/updating RSS items? Note: this is not the same as Jira activity feeds - those work great, as each update has a unique item id To replicate: Grab a search (any search) Get it into your rss reader Read an item, modify the linked ticket Update rss and see if the ticket bumps to most recent and unread or, generically: Get an rss feed (from your hard drive?) Modify an item in the middle changing the content, the date, and moving it to the top Update rss and see if the ticket bumps to most recent and unread

    I'm trying to set up the simple syndication example from the Django docs, in a working project. But I'm getting an ImportError, even though I'm sure I've copied the example exactly. Here's what I have in feeds.py: from django.contrib.syndication.views import Feed class LatestEntriesFeed(Feed): # etc And here's what I have in urls.py: from election.feeds import LatestEntriesFeed #... further down, at the appropriate line... # RSS feed (r'^feed/$', LatestEntriesFeed()), But Django says it can't import the Feed class from django.contrib.syndication.views: ImportError at /feed/ cannot import name Feed ....feeds.py in <module> from django.contrib.syndication.views import Feed Any ideas?     Hello, I use Snow Leopard at home and work and recently realized that the documents I create in iWork Pages 09 don't look good in Adobe Reader. I go about creating a regular document and 'Print' - Save as PDF in Pages in OS X. The saved PDF file looks great in Preview in OS X but it looks pretty bad in Windows' Adobe Reader and even Adobe Acrobat in OS X. Is there something I could do to make it look better on both platforms? Thank you.

But I can't do that in Foxit Reader (version 3.1.4.1125, using Windows Vista Home, Chinese Traditional) Example: I open 3 files: Page2.pdf Page3.pdf Page1.pdf which opens Foxit Reader with a tab for each file, in the order Page2.pdf Page3.pdf Page1.pdf Is there a way to change the order of the tabs to Page1.pdf Page2.pdf Page3.pdf ?     There are numerous ways to get the podcast feed for standard iTunes podcasts like this or this, however, neither of these methods work on the podcast feeds in iTunes U. I don't want to use iTunes, how can I find the alternative xml podcast feed?   • Do Google's feed statistics include former users?

    I'm currently not using any sort of fancy stat tracking software such as feedburner, but I occasionally look at Google's stats in their Webmaster Tools just to get a rough idea of whether the number of subscribers is going up or down. This only gives the number of users subscribed through Google products, as they explain in their help documents: Subscriber stats display the number of Google users who have subscribed to your feeds using any Google product (such as Reader, iGoogle, or Orkut). Because users can subscribe to feeds using many different aggregators or RSS readers, the actual number of subscribers to your site may be higher. I used to use Google Reader very regularly but haven't opened it in a while now. The way I understand it, this will mean that even though I haven't touched any of those feeds in a long time I'm still technically subscribed to them and will therefore be included in Google's statistic. Is this correct? Also since Google runs Feedburner, does this have any effect on their stats as well?
