    We have Windows Server Core 2008 R2. We have successfully installed .NET and the Visual C++ runtimes. Our application requires the ability to post messages to an MSMQ server To be clear we do not want to install MSMQ server on the machine. However we want to be able to post messages to a remote MSMQ server so we need to install the client parts of Windows Messaging. Has anybody succeeded in doing this?

  • Intermittent ethernet connectivity

    I am facing a weird problem. I am connecting to my dsl modem via ethernet. After booting, sometimes Ubuntu 10.10 does not detect the eth0 card properly or does not connect to the modem. I have made the following observations: My modem is fully on. All indicators are on except ethernet, which is blinking continuously. My network indicator applet informs me that I am connected to modem, but I am not able to browse as it has not established connection with modem. I need to power off and on (restart) the modem several times OR disconnect/connect (via network applet) several times, before the system can establish a connection with the modem. Once it establishes the connection, the ethernet LED (on modem) stops blinking and glows continuously. However, I do not see this problem every time I reboot or start my computer. 3/5 time, it connects to the modem in a single attempt. Friends, I am not able to understand root cause of this problem. Plus I do not know what kind of logs should be attached. If you want any logs please give me command to run, and I will paste the result for you.     In a view of my app I subclass tableViewController and has an activity indicator shown up when the table content is loading. I put it in the center of the screen but it scroll with the tableView (I guess the reason is I add it as a subview of the table view). Is there a way that I can keep the activity indicator in the center of the screen even the table is scrolling? Thanks in advanced.

    Does the native Blackberry API allow for the modification of any messaging interface? For example, I'd like to be able to build an app that added a button at the bottom of a received message which says 'translate this'. I've heard that this kind of thing is possible using J2ME plus the native BlackBerry API. Can this be done for all kinds of messages, eg SMS, email and BB messaging? The translation aspect is not relevant, it just provides the context for the kind of feature I'm after.

  • Computer crashes and won't start, LED indicator blinks slowly

    I have a MSI K8NGM2-FID motherboard coupled with a AMD Athlon 3700+ and an Antec TPII-550 power supply. The computer crashes at random times in operation, sometimes taking a while to crash, and sometimes crashing right after Windows XP shows the desktop after boot. The CPU temperature is always in the safe range, usually 30-33 degrees Celsius, and swapping the RAM has not done anything, so the crashes aren't cause by the RAM. What could be causing this? If the motherboard were fried, would the computer even boot at all? What causes inconsistent crashing of the computer? After the computer crashes, the LED power indicator blinks about once a second, and the computer does not respond to the power button. This behavior continues until the computer's power supply is completely removed.

Can anyone explain to me why the final score is so low when none of the filters were triggered? Does anyone have any suggestions on how to prevent this from happening? Regards, Martin

    BSOD constantly and the disk indicator is frozen. Error do not happen immediately, usually an hour after boot up. Here is the Minidump: Bug Check Code = 0x00000124 Caused By Driver = ntoskrnl.exe Caused By Address = ntoskrnl.exe+4b094c Crash Address = ntoskrnl.exe+4b094c Seems to be hardware problem, but I checked RAM, no error. I have two HDs installed, system is on SSD, data is on HDD. Checked SSD with the properties-tools-error-checking , no error. Re-installed several times, still happens even after removed HDD. Configuration: SSD: Crucial M4-CT064M4SSD2 with Firmware 0009 Intel HM65 CPU: i7-2630QM The SSD is set correctly, SATA III 6Gb/s enabled, and everything worked perfectly for nearly a year.

  • possible to make text messaging with php have a constant "telephone number" value?

    hello, i have an iphone 3g and can successfully send text messages using the PHP mail() function. My issue is that for each message i receive, the "telephone number" associated with the incoming text message changes each time. If possible, I would like to somehow make this number constant so that I can take advantage of iphone's ability to aggregate all text messages from the same telephone number -Otherwise my iphone would be cluttered with messages. Is there a way to do this? an example of the numbers I receive would be 1(410) 000-001, 1(410) 000-002, 1(410) 000-003, etc... can i make this constant somehow? $message = stripslashes("new user just joined!"); mail("[email protected]", "Subject", "$message"); please let me know! thanks...

  • Adapter for circle page indicator in android

    I am currently working on an android application which have multiple pages. I am trying to use Circle page indicator to allow users view multiple pages by flipping over the screen. Each page has seperate XML file for the view and each page has a button which is bind to a java method in the Activity. I would like to know how to initalise all the buttons in the Activity for multiple pages. Because at the moment, I can only initalise the button for the first page of the views. I cannot initalise the button for second and third page. Does anyone know how to achieve this. I have placed all the jobs to be done for all the buttons in a single activity.     I would like to write a messaging system using TCP IP in Delphi 2010. I would like to hear what my best options are for using the standard delphi 2010 components/indy components for doing this. I would like to write a server which does the listening and forwarding of messages to all machines on the network running a client. 1.) a.) clients can send a message to server to be forwarded to all other clients b.) clients listen for messages from other senders (via server) and displays messages. 2.) a.) Server can send a message to all clients b.) Server forwards any messages from clients to all other clients thanks for any suggestions NOTE: I am not writing a instant messaging or chat program. This is merely a system where users can send alerts/messages to other users - they can not reply to each other! NO commercial, shareware, etc links - please! I would like to hear about how you would go about writing this type of system and what approachs you would take, and possibly the TCP IP messaging architecture you would use. Whether it be straight Winows API, Indy components, etc, etc.

  • Application wide messaging... without singletons?

    So, I want to go for a more Singleton - less design in the future. However, there seem to be a lot of tasks in an application that can't be done in meaningful way without singletons. I call them "application wide services", but they also fall into the same category as the cross cutting concerns, which I usually fix via AOP. Lets take an example: I want an application wide message queue that dispatches messages to components, every component can subscribe and publish there, it's a very nice multicast thing. The message queue and dispatching system are usually a (rather short) singleton class, which is very easy to implement in, say, C#. You can even use double dispatching and utilize message type metadata and the like, it's all so easy to do, it's almost trivial. However, having singletons is not really "object oriented design" (it introduces global variables) and it makes testing harder. Do you have any ideas? I'm asking this question because I'm willing to learn more about this topic, a LOT more. :-)

  • Installing messaging software displays error 1324 invalid character

    Trying to install Reuters Messaging software onto a windows 7 pc we receive the error message Error 1324: The folder path 'My Documents' contains an invalid character We've tried installing the application using the local admin account and the user account which is an AD account (roaming?). This user account has administrative rights (i.e. should be allowed to install applications). The users 'My Documents' folder is located on a network drive, where only the user has access. We've tried experimenting with the HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Explorer\ User Shell Folders registry entries and setting them to a local position (i.e. C:\Users\Username\Documents) but this didn't resolve the error. We've also tried the following which was taken from a website I can't remember the name of: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\FileSystem Select the NtfsDisable8dot3NameCreation entry and change the value to 0 Select the Win31FileSystem entry and change the value to 0 which didn't resolve the issue. Edit: This was also an issue when attempting to install the citrix native client necessary to run citrix application (*.ica extension). This made the same error box appear.

    I am a new user of Ubuntu and I want to connect empathy internet messaging with Facebook. So when I select Facebook from the list given in Online Accounts a window opens up for me to authorize access and a url opens saying: Success SECURITY WARNING: Please treat the URL above as you would your password and do not share it with anyone. Although after this nothing happens... When I open the messenger nothing comes up and in Online Accounts it still asks: Please authorize Ubuntu to access your Facebook account... but I have already given permission... Please help me out.     I am looking to create a group indicator for a query using SQL (Oracle specifically). Basically, I am looking for duplicate entries for certain columns and while I can find those what I also want is some kind of indicator to say what rows the duplicates are from. Below is an example of what I am looking to do (looking for duplicates on Name, Zip, Phone). The rows with Name = aaa are all in the same group, bb are not, and c are. Is there even a way to do this?   • Advice needed on Process - Service Design

    Need some advice from experts on designing a flow. Create a service that will read a csv file which may contain anywhere over 6000+ rows of individual ids as shown in the sample below. Need to read that file and go to oracle database and fetch a vname,vnumber,vid of each id in the csv and then go to document repository i.e. Oracle UCM and download all documents matching vname,vnumber,vid there can be =0 documents for each vname,vnumber,vid and save them on a file system. UCM exposes a webservice to dowload the documents. Finally create a new csv appending the filenames that are downloaded for each id. Need to keep track of any errors but need to make sure to go over the whole ids in the csv to download the documents and skip in case of errors. Need some advice on how to go about designing this as there may be over 6000+ rows in a csv file and looping it and hitting the database for each individual id and then hitting a UCM may be a bit expensive so open for any idea. How to go by designing this solution. Wondering if messaging can be helpful here or offloading process of getting the vname,vnumber,vid to pl/sql packages, creating staging tables etc. Initial csv that contains ids: **ID** 12345a 12s345 3456fr we9795 we9797 Final csv output: **ID Files Downloaded from UCM** 12345a a.pdf,b.doc,d.txt 12s345 a1.pdf,s2.pdf,f4.gif 3456fr b.xls we9795 we9797 x.doc Thanks
