• Curl Error 52 Empty reply from server

  Hello I have a cron job setup on one server to run a backup script in PHP that is hosted on another server. The command I've been using is formatted like this: curl -sS http://www.example.com/backup.php Lately I've been getting this error when the Cron runs curl: (52) Empty reply from server I have no idea what this means. If I go to the link directly in my browser the script runs fine and I get my little backup zip file. Can anyone help? Thanks, Paul

  Hi... Two questions: Is there a simple way to do the Curl page flipping animation? A Curl animation is animation of pages flipping, including the page above rolling and the shadows over the lower page. What is the recommended way to do a "gallery" that displays two pages at a time (just like a book)? Is it: Letting the adapter display a linear layout of two images at a time? (it won't let me show a page flipping over the other like a book) Using two pages, placing somehow one near the other, and then when it's time to animate -move the next two pages over?   My Apache process segfaults whenever I call curl_exec() from PHP with an "https://" URL. If I use http instead of https as the URL transport, it works perfectly, so I know curl and the other curl options are correct.   Google Chrome has a nice tool to determine the time the page begins drawing, in the Network tab in Developer Tools. Similarly sites like webpagetest.org can tell you the draw time and give you the whole waterfall of page loads for a given web page. I was wondering if I could automate the process of finding the time it took to the first page draw, for all of the pages on my site, so I can share this data within my company. Obviously the page draw time will depend on the latency and throughput of your connection, but I'm more concerned with the relative data about pages on our site.
