  • Dynamic tests with mstest and T4

    If you used mstest and NUnit you might be aware of the fact that the former doesn't support dynamic, data driven test cases. For example, the following scenario cannot be achieved with the out-of-box mstest: given a dataset, create distinct test cases for each entry in it, using a predefined generic test case. The best result that can be achieved using mstest is a single testcase that will iterate through the dataset. There is one disadvantage: if the test fails for one entry in the dataset, the whole test case fails. So, in order to overcome the previously mentioned limitation, I decided to create a text template that will generate the test cases for me. I’ve stumbled across this problem how to make template generator to find edmx file without hardcoding absolute path into the template. The "Compiling Vim" page linked from there was for Linux, so the commands doesn't even work on Solars. But it did hint at logging the output of ./configure to a file, so I did that. I couldn't just install it, since I don't have root privileges, but I was able to extract the package file.     I'm using ASp.Net MVC and EF 4.3.1. Using POCO t4 template I'm able to create the POCO classes for my model but not validation. At the moment I'm using Partial Classes with MetaData for adding the annotation (leaving intact the POCO auto generated). My question: Could you point me out a tutorial, or show me an example of code or a link to a T4 template the also include automatic VALIDATION for my POCO? THanks

  • postfix/postdrop Issue with Solaris 10 (sparc) - permissions

    I am trying to get postfix (installed from blastwave) working on a Solaris 10 server, but only root is allowed to send mail. The problem appears to be permission related with postdrop. postdrop: warning: mail_queue_enter: create file maildrop/905318.27416: Permission denied I've checked that /var/opt/csw/spool/postfix/maildrop and /var/opt/csw/spool/postfix/public are both in the 'postdrop' group. main.cf contains setgid_group = postdrop. ppriv on postdrop as non-root user reports: postdrop[27336]: missing privilege "file_dac_write" (euid = 103, syscall = 5) needed at ufs_iaccess+0x110 I'm at a loss as to what to do next. I'm don't have much experience with Solaris; I use Linux daily. Any suggestions?
