I will consider JODConverter as a fallback, because I try to minimize my dependencies.

    I'm working with adobe air and I have this code.. var urlReq = new air.URLRequest('http://google.com'); air.navigateToURL(urlReq); It's working correctly in that it is loading the page in the browser, but the issue is that adobe air is staying in the front and the browser is not being brought to the front... Perhaps it's because I'm working in runtime and not a complied app? (just off to try that now)

    Hi, I'm a bit confused about a strange behavior of my JPA's related objects. I have three bundle : The User bundle does contain some user-related objects, but mainly the User object. The Energy bundle does contain some energy-related objects, and particularly a ConsumptionTerminal which contains a List of User. The Index bundle does contain an Index object that has no dependency at all. My OSGi environment is the following : A DataSource bundle that provide 2 services : dataSource and jpaVendorAdapter. The three bundles. They consume dataSource and jpaVendorAdapter. I'm using named @PersistenceUnit annotation like @PersitenceUnit(name = 'securityPU') (for the User bundle). And finally, I'm using EclipseLink as Jpa provider and Spring DM (+ Spring DM Server in the development process) The problem is the following : When the User bundle is deployed, I'm able to persist User objects. When the User bundle and Energy bundles are both deployed, I'm not able to persist User objects (neither the Energy object). But I don't have any exception at all ! There is no problem at all with the Index bundle. The bug is dataSource independent (I tried with PostgreSQL and MySQL so far). My first conclusion was that the <class>net.nextep.amundsen.security.domain.User</class> in both persistence unit was causing the trouble. I tried without it (and hiding the User dependent object in the Energy bundle) but it failed too. I'm a bit confused about that bug. I'm also not quite sure about the transaction management in this context. I wasn't the one who designed this architecture (but I tell my intern OK without testing it.. shame on me) but if I could understand this bug and maybe fix it without rewrite the bundle (and break my intern work), I would appreciate. Am I doing something wrong ? (it's obvious, but what..) Did I miss something while reading documentation ? By the way, I'm also looking for some best practices or advices when it comes to JPA, EclipseLink (or whatever JPA Provider) and Spring DM (and OSGi in general). I found interesting slides from Mike Keith about this topic (by browsing Stackoverflow).

When in a thread it throws the following exception : ObjectDisposedException "The safe handle has been closed." (Translated from french) I then replaced "Open" wirh "OpenAsync" which helped not getting the previous exception. But when on Invoke I get the following exception : InvalidRunspaceStateException "Unable to call the pipeline because its state of execution is not Opened. Its current state is Opening." (Also translated from french) I'm clueless... Any help welcome !!! Thanks !!!

  • Get ListView Visible items

    I have a ListView which might contains a lot of items, so it is virtualized and recycling items. It does not use sort. I need to refresh some value display, but when there are too many items, it is too slow to update everything, so I would like to refresh only the visible items. How could I get a list of all currently displayed items ? I tried to look into the ListView or in the ScrollViewer, but I still have no idea how to achieve this. The solution must NOT go through all items to test if they can be seen, because this would be too slow. I'm not sure code or xaml would be usefull, it is just a Virtualized/Recycling ListView with its ItemSource bound to an Array. Edit Answer : thanks to akjoshi, i found the way : get the ScrollViewer of the ListView (with a FindDescendant method, that you can do yourself with the VisualTreeHelper ). Then use its ScrollViewer.VerticalOffset : it is the number of the first item shown and ScrollViewer.ViewportHeight : it is the count of items shown. Rq : CanContentScroll must be true.

    I have a PHP application using Zend MVC framework. The entry point for every request to the application is in /public/index.php. I have a Browser class that has functions to check if the user's browser is compatible with application or not. My dilemma is, index.php is executed for every controller call. So there are chances that this file gets executed multiple times within the same page and hence redirection becomes an issue. What's the best way to solve the looping issue? Thanks

The JSON Request and responses are as under: I want to display a JQuery UI progressbar and update the progressbar status, as per the percentage returned in the getStatus JSON response. If the status is "insync", then the progressbar should not appear and a message should be displayed instead. Ex: "Server is in Sync".   • actionscript swf: why the swf is cached in one web server

    Hi, I have one swf and a program to load this swf. The swf is put in a server. I encounter a weird problem that if I put this swf in serverA, each time my program will issue a http request to that webserver(with 304 response). But when I move the swf from serverA to serverB, some weird things happen, the progrom will only issue the first time http request, and after that, it didn't send any http request, it looks like it uses the cache in the disk. I wonder is how can I configure serverA make the behavior the same as serverB, as I guess the problem may exists in the http response that make the program not retrieving the swf from serverB any more.   • Android: Dialog themed activity not visible

    I have an activity which, when started, needs to check if the user is authenticated. If not, I need to display an interface to authenticate. I do this with another activity, which has a dialog theme, and I start it in onResume() with flags NO_HISTORY and EXCLUDE_FROM_RECENTS. Everything works fine when starting the application for the first time. But I have a feature that resets login after some time, if the user is not in an activity. When I test this, I start the applicatio, enter the password, then move back to home. Then when I enter the application again, the background darkens as if the dialog would show, but it doesn't. At this point, if I press the back button, the darkening from the background activity disappears for a second, then the dialog finally appears. I used logcat to investigate the case, and the activity lifecycle functions get called properly: //For the first start: onCreate background activity onStart background activity onResume background activity onPause background activity onCreate dialog onStart dialog onResume dialog //Enter password onPause dialog onResume background activity onStop dialog onDestroy dialog //navigating to homescreen onPause background activity onStop background activity //starting again onRestart background activity onStart background activity onResume background activity onPause background activity onCreate dialog onStart dialog onResume dialog //no dialog shown, only darkened background activity recieving no input //pressing back button onPause dialog onResume background activity onPause background activity onCreate NEW dialog onStart NEW dialog onResume NEW dialog onStop OLD dialog onDestroy OLD dialog //now the dialog is properly shown //entering password onPause NEW dialog onResume background activity onStop NEW dialog onDestroy NEW dialog Using the SINGLE_TOP flag makes no change. So far I didn't want to use a Dialog instead of an Activity, because I consider them problematic sometimes and less encapsulated and this part has to be quite secure.     I love reStructuredText, however the tools that support it are scattered all over the Internet. The official tool list is incomplete and/or outdated, and can be updated only via commit privileges. For some time there was a comprehensive list at the Wikipedia reStructuredText page, but this apparently "may not meet the notability guideline for web content" and is scheduled for removal. So to put it in a question form: What tool support can one expect to find when working with reStructuredText, e.g. text editors, Wiki software, converters to and from reStructuredText etc.?

    What I want to do is passing a map to the method in Controller using @RequestParam, but it seems not working. While this is working in Struts 2. Below is what I am trying: In JSP using JQuery: var order = {}; order['seq'] = "ASC"; var criteria = {}; criteria['label'] = "Directory"; $.post(context + 'menu/list', {"orders" : order, "criterias" : criteria} The parameters I am trying to post is an 'map' object order and criteria for listing menu.
