  • UISplitViewController Cannot Change the Master View Controller?

    I am trying to change the master view controller (that appears in the popover in portrait, and on the left side in landscape) in a UISplitViewController. I'd like to switch between the master view controller being one of two different UIViewControllers (depending on an action taken elsewhere in my application). I am using the following: mySplitViewController.viewControllers = [NSArray arrayWithObjects:newMasterController, detailController, nil]; This correctly changes the master viewcontroller as you would expect in landscape mode. However it does not seem to change the viewcontroller used for the popover in portrait mode. I notice that the barbuttonitem to show this master view controller is just calling showMasterInPopover: on the splitviewcontroller, and so would expect it to work in portrait mode as well, but it does not. In fact, I can set the master view controller, see the new viewController correctly in landscape mode, rotate back to portrait, and the viewcontroller used in the popover is still the old one. Is this a bug?

    In an ASP.NET 3.5 VB web app, I successfully manage to cache an object containing several personal details such as name, address, etc. One of the items is CreditNum which I'd like to change in the cache on the fly. Is there a way to access this directly in the cache or do I have to destroy and rebuild the whole object just to change the value of objMemberDetails.CreditNum?   • Cannot change the Label text!

    I have created a custom control and added a label property to it so at design time we can pick a Label and assign it to that control. so basically I want that if a label is assigned to that control, its text should change as below and also its text should change to bold font, so here is that code: private Label assignedLabel; public Label AssignedLabel { get { return assignedLabel; } set { assignedLabel = value; assignedLabel.Text = @"*" + assignedLabel.Text; assignedLabel.Font = new Font(AssignedLabel.Font, FontStyle.Bold); AssignedLabel.Refresh(); } } the problem is that based on the code above the Font of that assigned label is correctly changing to Bold font, but its Text is not taking affect. why is that happening? how can I fix this issue?

  • Cannot change PostgreSQL port

    I run Postgresql 8.4 as a service on a CentOS 6.2 server. I set port = 21444 and listen_addresses = '*' in /var/lib/pgsql/data/postgresql.conf and I changed 5432 to 21444 in postmaster.opts and restarted postgres, but when I run netstat -lntp postgresql is still running on port 5432 tcp 0 0 0.0.0.0:5432 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN 20276/postmaster When I restart postgresql I get a writting error warning on /proc/self/oom_adj, but the service starts anyway. I read that we could get this error when using virtualized servers, but I don't really know if this has inpact on postgresql listening port.     For testing I hosted my website on free server from 000webhost.com They have a directory structure:- (root folder) \ (public folder) \public_html this directory structure enables to keep all the library files in root folder and all public data in \public_html, so I developed my website accordingly, and my final structure looked like:- / /include(this folder contains library files) /logs(log files) /public_html /public_html/index.php /public_html/home.php /public_html/and other public files on 000webhost makes only public_folder available to be accessed via url and my url looked neat and clean like www.xample.com/index.php or www.example.com/home.php but after completion of development I moved website to shared host purchased from go-daddy.com, now they do not have any such kind of directory permission, all the files are kept in root folder and are accessible via url also url has become like:- www.example.com/public_html/home.php or www.example.com/public_html/index.php How should I redirect url request to public_html folder again so as to make library file unavailable to public access and make url neat and clean.

  • Animating a font size change in a UITableView

    Hey Simple little app for educational purposes, its a simple uitableview and I want users to be able to use a uislider to adjust the font size as needed. The code I have now works to change the font but only when the view is updated, ie when i pull up or down the table view to reveal other cells.     Hi, I have an Android Service. When a phone boots up, a broadcast receiver receives a notification and it schedules the service to run repeatedly at a gap of X minutes. Henceforth After every X minutes another broadcast receiver gets those notifications and kicks the service off, which does it's job and quits. So far so good. Now I want those X minutes to be configurable. I have a perf.xml similar to what is given at the link below. This XML captures all my preferences along with that of service timer. http://android-journey.blogspot.com/2010/01/for-almost-any-application-we-need-to.html Now when user changes preferences; how can I reschedule the alarm? Is there a way I can set a listener on preferences change? I have used only XML files to speficy preferences screen. Any ideas will be welcome. Cheers

    I've updated my gmail password and so i must update my blackberry password. I tried updating the email password to which i got the following message. Invalid email address or password. Please verify your email address and password. The information you provided is incorrect. If the error persists contact gmail.com (Your email provider). Please try again. I tried again, with what i know the password to be, with password show on. I've also deleted the account and tried to create it. I've tried going to the "Last account activity: XXXX details" menu and signing out all devices. I'm continually getting the above error, but the account activities don't seem to show any sign of a mobile attempt to access my mail account. Has anyone had this issue before and how did you sign it. Thanks in advance.

    I have adapted a Jquery plugin to for-fill my needs to send GET requests to servers as a way of "pinging" them. I've also added some javascript code to add some fancy features like: depending on the changed value in a that the Jquery plugin changes, it changes the Icon accordingly. To make it all work essentially, I made so that when Ajax gets a "complete" event, it forces a "onChange" event to the span, triggering the javascript validation function to change the status icons.   • fcgiwrap listening to a unix socket file: how to change file permissions

    I have a web server (nginx) and a CGI application (gitweb) that is ran with fcgiwrap to enable Fast CGI access to it. I want the Fast CGI protocol to take place over a unix socket file. To start the fcgiwrap daemon, I run: setuidgid git fcgiwrap -s "unix:$PWD/fastcgi.sock" (this is a daemontools daemon) The problem is that my web server runs as the user www-data and not the user git. And fcgiwrap creates the socket fastcgi.sock with user git, group git and read only fort the non owner. Thus, nginc with the user www-data can't access the socket. Apparently, fcgiwrap is not able to select permissions of unix socket files. And this is quite annoying. Moreover, if I manage to have the socket file exists before I run fcgiwrap (which is quite difficult given I did not find any shell command to create a socket file), it quits with the following error: Failed to bind: Address already in use The only solution I found is to start the server the following way: rm -f fastcgi.sock # Ensure that the socket doesn't already exists (sleep 5; chgrp www-data fastcgi.sock; chmod g+w fastcgi.sock) & exec setuidgid git fcgiwrap -s "unix:$PWD/fastcgi.sock" Which is far from the most elegant solution. Can you think of anything better ? Thanks

It’s currently ordered Search Button ‘Search this site’ Search Input but the designs I have want it to be Search Input ‘Search this site’ Search Button How do I go around changing the order in Drupal? I can change the search-block-form.tpl.php so the submit button is at the end but the ‘Search this site’ always appears before the input and I would like it after. I hope that makes sense. I add all of the elements on the menu programatically via DB. the menu is designed for easy use with arrows keys but I have encountered a major problem!!! by default when I press the arrow keys they only change the focus based on the tabindex and what I need is to change focus based on position of the controls not on their tabindex hope it is clear... see pic!!! so, Is there any way to do this?

  • How to change my W2k8 System Partition?

    On my Windows 2008 server, my C: is 1.5 TB, and the partition is marked as: Healthy (Boot, Page File, Active, Crash Dump, Primary Partition) and somehow I ended up with a 2GB D: that is marked as Healthy (System). On this D: drive are only a few MB worth of files (bootmgr, boot folder, bootsect.bak), but all Windows files are on the c:. I've done everything I can to remove the (System) mark. I tried using bcdedit, I tried marking the C:partition as "Active", I tried using bootsect.exe to assign the C: drive as the boot partition. Maybe I didn't do one of those steps correct, but I've tried everything I can. When I got my new Dell Poweredge T710, I didn't bother removing their 2 small drives before I put in my 2 new large drives. So I think when I installed W2k8 Server, maybe dell left some bootable partition on their drives to help me install the OS, but I never used it and just booted right from the install CD. Can anyone help me remove the (System) mark from the D: so I can remove the D: partition and still boot to the C:? I know I could remove the D: drives and reinstall windows, but I'm trying to avoid a total reinstall.
