    Hi All, I have two nvarchar fields in database to store the DataType and DefaultValue, I have a DataType Double and value as 65.89875 in english format. Now I want the user to see the value as per the selected browser language format (65.89875 in English should be displayed as 65,89875 in german). Now if the user edits from german format to 65,89875 which is 65.89875 equivalent in english, and the other user views from english browser it comes as 6589875. This happens because in DB it was stored as 65,89875 and when converted using english culture it becomes 6589875 since it considers , as seperator. Any Idea how I get this working for all the browsers?

    Hello all, I'm trying to create a generic database mapping class with PHP. Collecting the data through my functions is going well, but as expected I'm retrieving a nested set. However, as it stands boost's signals seems more oriented towards dealing with function objects. What would be the best way of adapting my code to still use the callback interface but use signals and slots to deal with the connection and notification aspects?

There is any way to convert the DateTime to a more precise number, as we do in .NET with the .Ticks property? I need at least a minute precision.

    I have a 2 dimensional array. And each value contains a depth. What I want is that the the array is converted to a (unordered) HTML list. I already found a solution in PHP DOMDocument, but I can't really use it since I have to add a lot of classes and content to the HTML. I' have tried to make something myself, but it didn't workout.     Can somebody recommend the best (and preferably portable) way to render HTML documents onto a bitmap? As far as I understand my main 2 options are WebKit and Gecko, but I wasn't able to find a good starting point on how to do it. When I last tried doing this 5 years ago, I ended up using Gecko to send the document to a printer, which is not really what I need. I need rendering to a in-memory bitmap. To clarify: server side, no Java, no .NET, batch processing, performance, not interactive, no Javascript.

I'm picturing 2 functions, one that finds all the html tables in a document, and a second one that turns html tables into 2-dimensional arrays. Something like this: htmltables = get_tables(htmldocument) for table in htmltables: array=make_array(table) There's 2 catches: 1. The number tables varies day to day 2. The tables have all kinds of weird extra formatting, like bold and blink tags, randomly thrown in. Thanks!

    Ok, I'm now banging my head against a brick wall with this one. I have an HTML (not XHTML) document that renders fine in Firefox 3 and IE 7. It uses fairly basic CSS to style it and renders fine in HTML. I'm now after a way of converting it to PDF. I have tried: DOMPDF: it had huge problems with tables. I factored out my large nested tables and it helped (before it was just consuming up to 128M of memory then dying--thats my limit on memory in php.ini) but it makes a complete mess of tables and doesn't seem to get images. The tables were just basic stuff with some border styles to add some lines at various points; HTML2PDF and HTML2PS: I actually had better luck with this. It rendered some of the images (all the images are Google Chart URLs) and the table formatting was much better but it seemed to have some complexity problem I haven't figured out yet and kept dying with unknown node_type() errors. Not sure where to go from here; and Htmldoc: this seems to work fine on basic HTML but has almost no support for CSS whatsoever so you have to do everything in HTML (I didn't realize it was still 2001 in Htmldoc-land...) so it's useless to me. I tried a Windows app called Html2Pdf Pilot that actually did a pretty decent job but I need something that at a minimum runs on Linux and ideally runs on-demand via PHP on the Webserver. I really can't believe I'm this stuck. Am I missing something?

    So I have a visual studio 2008 project setup for a project I've been working on however its a sub project of a rather larger code base which is crossplatform, so in order to make my project complaint with the main source I need to make my project nix compilable. Is there some way I can generate a makefile based off my vcproject? or if not is there someway I could generate a makefile any other way than writing it manually as it appears confusing as all hell when I open them up.

    Hi, I have an xml file like this: <result> <customer> <id>1</id> <name>A</name> </customer> <customer> <id>2</id> <name>B</name> </customer> </result> So I need that data filled on a DataSet, here is my code: var reader = new StringReader(xmldoc.InnerXml); dsDatos.ReadXml(reader); The problem is that it's filling the dataset with two Tables each one with a single row. But I need a single Table with the two rows. What am I doing wrong? PD: I'm using C# and I don't want to iterate through the XML file, I want to use the ReadXml method. Thanks for your time.

    Before .Net, before math coprocessors, before IEEE-574, Microsoft defined a bit pattern for floating-point numbers. Old versions of the C++ compiler happily used that definition. I am writing a C# app that needs to read/write such floating-point numbers in a file. How can I do the conversions between the 2 bit formats? I need conversion methods in both directions. This app is going to run in a PocketPC/WinCE environment. Changing the structure of the file is out-of-scope for this project. Is there a C++ compiler option that instructs it to use the old FP format? That would be ideal. I could then exchange data between the C# code and C++ code by using a null-terminated text string, and the C++ methods would be simple wrappers around sprintf and atof functions. At the very least, I'm hoping someone can reply with the bit definitions for the old FP format, so I can put together a low-level bit manipulation algorithm if necessary. Thanks.

    Hello, I am trying to find a way to calculate a duration in days between my, time zone (Central), and (Pacific; Mountain; Eastern). Just do not know where to start. My criteria would be as follows: Cell C5:C100 would be the timestamps in this format:3/18/2010 23:45 but for different dates and times. Cell D5:D100 would be the corresponding timezone in text form: Pacific; Mountain; Eastern; Central. Cell F5 would be where the duration in days would need to be.
