  • Apache2 shared server: default webpage

    Greetings, I have an apache2 server with 4 domain names point to my server's single IP address. When I type in www.site1.com it serves pages from /home/eamorr/site1/index.php Same for www.site2.com, www.site3.com and www.site4.com However, when I type in to the address bar of a browser without the www, it always redirects to site1.com! i.e. site1.com - site1.com site2.com - site1.com site3.com - site1.com site4.com - site1.com How do I configure apache to do the following: site1.com - site1.com site2.com - site2.com site3.com - site3.com site4.com - site4.com Here is my default config: ServerAdmin [email protected] ServerName www.site1.com DocumentRoot /home/eamorr/sites/site1.com/www DirectoryIndex index.php index.html <Directory /home/eamorr/sites/site1.com/www> Options Indexes FollowSymLinks MultiViews Options -Indexes AllowOverride all Order allow,deny allow from all php_value session.cookie_domain ".site1.com" #Added by EOH for redirection RewriteEngine on RewriteRule ^([^/.]+)/?$ driver.php?uname=$1 [L] </Directory> ErrorLog /var/log/apache2/error.log # Possible values include: debug, info, notice, warn, error, crit, # alert, emerg.     I tried to create a new ftp user via the commandline. But I did something wrong and now I can access the server via FTP but I can't see any files.     I need to find the default gateway in a openvpn scenario where the route output looks like that: IPv4 Route Table =========================================================================== Active Routes: Network Destination Netmask Gateway Interface Metric 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 10.49.73.1 10.49.73.24 10 0.0.0.0 128.0.0.0 10.8.0.1 10.8.0.2 30 So I googled around a bit and a found this script here: @For /f "tokens=3" %%* in ( 'route.exe print ^|findstr "\<0.0.0.0\>"' ) Do @Set "DefaultGateway=%%*" echo %DefaultGateway% This works, but matches both lines in the route output. But I need to find this line: 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 10.49.73.1 10.49.73.24 10 So I tried to modify the findstr parameter like this: findstr "\<0.0.0.0\>.\<0.0.0.0\>" in the expectation that '.' will match for the tab between the columns. But it doesn't. It will still set DefaultGateway to 10.8.0.1 I couldn't find a clue in MS documentation either. Maybe someone knows the right expression? Thanks a lot.

  • Ping with explicit next-hop selection (aka Monitoring multiple default gateways)

    I have a linux (debian) router with two internet connections (A) and (B). (A) is preferred, (B) is fallback. I want to monitor the internet connection (and not only the availability of the gateways!) and change the default route appropriately. If (A) is not providing internet, switch to (B) If (A) is providing internet again, switch back to (A). Only problem I have is in case (2). My routing table points towards a working internet so I cannot easily detect whether internet is working over link (A) again. I am search for a ping or traceroute (or other diagnosis-tool) which can select the next-hop explicitly. ping -r looks promising, but can only ping a host on the lan. (It only has to write another destination address in the packet, damnit!) traceroute -g gateway looks even more promising and nearly does what I want - but sets source routing options which my next-hops deny. (Not within my administrative boundary...) I just want a $ping, that can: select a source interface (and address) select a next-hop on that interface ping any arbitrary ip address I could do evil trickery with policy-based routing but that would have production impact for all users. I would like to see a side-effect-free solution....

    Im still learning server things so hope the title is descriptive enough. Basically i have sub.domain.com that i want to run on nginx at port 8090. I want to leave apache alone and have it catch all default traffic at port 80. so i am trying something with a virtual name host to proxy pass to sub.domain.com:8090, nothing working yet and go no idea what the right syntax could be. any ideas? most of what i found was to pass TO apache FROM nginx, but i want to the do the opposite.   • Restrict access to one SVN repository (overwrite default)

    I'm trying to set up our SVN server so that by default the group developers will have access to all repositories, but I want to override that setting on some certain repositories where I want to allow access only to single defined users (or separate groups) The current configuration is SVN + WebDAV on Apache2. All my repositories are located at /var/lib/svn/ In dav_svn.authz I currently have [/] @developers = rw @users = r Now I want to add one repository (let's call it secret_repo) that would only allow access to one user who is also a member of the developers group.¨ I tried to do [secret_repo:/] * = secret_user = rw Where secret_user is the user I'd like to give access to the repository, but it doesn't seem to work. Currently the server is using Apache's LDAP module to authenticate users from our active directory domain and I'd like to keep it that way if possible. Also I seem to be able to browse all my repos freely with any web browser, which I'd like to block. Second problem is that I have webSVN on the server, which is using Apache's LDAP authentication. Everyone who is a member of our domain can access it, so I'd like to hide this secret_repo from websvn listing. It's configured not with parentPath("/var/lib/svn");. Do I really need to remove that and add every repository separately, except the ones I want to hide?

  • jqGrid Filter Toolbar initial default value

    I'm using jqGrid with the filter toolbar, i need to set an initial default filter value to one of the fields so that only rows with status 'Open' are displayed by default, but the user can display Closed rows if desired. At the moment i have a workaround like this setTimeout(function() {$('#gs_Status').val('Open');$("#eventsGrid")[0].triggerToolbar()},500); but it results in a second request and is pretty bad really. Does anybody know how to do this?

    I am using Ubuntu 9.10 with XAMPP ( Lampp "MYSQL 5.1.45 PHPMYADMIN 3.3.1 PHP 5.3.2 ) What my problem is, is that I set up my testing env to debug my scripts locally and when I did so there arose a problem. This problem is that I used firefox's addon SQLinject ME to test for weakness' and upon doing so it caused mysql to change the default local collations; character sets dir /opt/lampp/share/mysql/charsets/ collation connection latin1_general_ci (Global value) latin1_swedish_ci collation database latin1_swedish_ci collation server latin1_swedish_ci I have searched for quite sometime in regards to a solution to this problem and have come up with searching for the db.opt file which stores this information without success. Upon not finding a solution I removed lampp with the "sudo rm -fR /opt" command and reinstall and the problem still persists. I have tried to change the collations manually and still come up with the database displaying latin1_swedish_ci as the default language. Why is this a problem?? Why is it a problem with mysql? Because the application I am testing and debugging locally is built on the CodeIgnitor with Smarty framework and since this combination of framework is built to detect the LOCALES, Rather what the database defaults are I keep getting errors saying no language file for swedish...... Of course I could get the swedish language file to work around this problem but I do not feel the need to make this work around a perminant solution as with time when I move on to projects I will run into simular problems every time that A; When importing database files, backups etc it will default to import such databases as the locale swedish. B; As time passes on I might completly forget of this error and will be back to square one. I have found this code in searches for a fix,which seems to alter the tables to a desired Collaion; $value) { mysql_query("ALTER TABLE $value COLLATE latin1_general_ci"); }} echo "The collation of your database has been successfully changed!"; ? Which is handy to switch collations in One Schema at a time however this is not a fix when a framework doesnt care that the said database is in one langugae. It tests for the Default of the entire server. Someone with any knowledge of a purge or fix to this I would greatly appricate the help. One more final note is that when I was testing I only figured to back up the applications DataBase and not the entire Schema of the install. No matter if I uninstall or reinstall the database still seems to carry these problems.

Running into this weird issue where my application shows timestamp correctly for User timezone ,when i run it from my dev env but pulls out all timestamps in GMT irrespective of the logged in users timezone in an env which is supposed to have the server run on GMT. So wanted to know what was the default TZ set if you do not configure anything

  • Problem with the way the Ajax Control Toolkit TabContainer sets the default submit button

    We have an Ajax Control Toolkit TabContainer containing some textboxes for doing a search. When you keypress inside one of the textboxes, the TabContainer sets the default button to be the button immediately following the tab control. This is fine because that's the search button. The problem occurs after the button is clicked and results returned. Now there is no default button, and keypress does nothing. Any suggestions?

    I have some code using Lucene that leaves the default conjunction operator as OR, and I want to change it to AND. Some of the code just uses a plain QueryParser, and that's fine - I can just call setDefaultOperator on those instances. Unfortunately, in one place the code uses a MultiFieldQueryParser, and calls the static "parse" method (taking String, String[], BooleanClause.Occur[], Analyzer), so it seems that setDefaultOperator can't help, because it's an instance method. Is there a way to keep using the same parser but have the default conjunction changed?

    Hey there, I love using macvim, and I really like the default font, but at work I recently got some bigger monitors, and I want to make the text bigger. It says in the macvim docs that it is Bitstream Vera, but trying to set the font like so: :set guifont=Bitstream\ Vera\ Sans\ Mono:h16 results in an invalid font(s) error. So what is the default font then? I'm running the latest version of macvim and I am running Snow Leopard. Thanks!!

  • Where to put default-servlet-handler in Spring MVC configuration

    In my web.xml, the default servlet mapping, i.e. /, is mapped to Spring dispatcher. In my Spring dispatcher configuration, I have DefaultAnnotationHandlerMapping, ControllerClassNameHandlerMapping and AnnotationMethodHandlerAdapter which allows me to map url to controllers either by its class name or its @Requestmapping annotation. However, there are some static resources under the web root which I also want spring dispatcher to serve using default servlet. According to Spring documentation, this can be done using <mvc:default-servlet-handler/> tag. In the configuration below, there are 4 candidate locations that I marked which are possible to insert this tag. Inserting the tag in different location causes the dispatcher to behave differently as following : Case 1 : If I insert it at location 1, the dispatcher will no longer be able to handle mapping by the @RequestMapping and controller class name but it will be serving the static content normally. Cas 2, 3 : It will be able to handle mapping by the @RequestMapping and controller class name as well as serving the static content if other mapping cannot be done successfully. Case 4 : It will not be able to serve the static contents.
