    Binaries (under Linux) don't have an extension so I cannot exclude them using patterns. Thus when I use SVN add to add a directory I will get something like $ svn add recursion_vector/ A recursion_vector A recursion_vector/rec_vec.cxx A recursion_vector/rec_vec.h A (bin) recursion_vector/rec_vec Here rec_vec is the executable I would like to exclude. SVN obviously recognizes it as binary. Now can I tell Subversion to ignore all binary files?

  • Generate SQL server scripts from command line?

    In Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio 2008 there is a "Generate scripts..." option under the Tasks menu. I'm just wondering if this tool is available from the command line somehow? It looks similar to the sqlpubwiz.exe command line tool that was available for SQL Server 2005, but I can't find this executable anywhere in the SQL 2008 installation.

    I am using SharpDevelop to build an executable from my IronPython script. The only hitch is that my script has the line import random which works fine when I run the script through ipy.exe, but when I attempt to build and run an exe from the script in SharpDevelop, I always get the message: IronPython.Runtime.Exceptions.ImportException: No module named random Why isn't SharpDevelop 'seeing' random? How can I make it see it?

  • Visual Studio 2010's Build Command: It does nothing

    I'm using Visual C# 2010 Express RTM with Windows Phone Developer Tools April CTP Refresh and when I run any Build option, nothing happens. I've deleted the contents of the build output folders and that doesn't do anything. I can't even run the project, because it complains the executable is missing (XNA Game for Windows project). I've tried the project on another computer and it builds just fine. Any ideas?

I have used a little bit of AppleScript, which seems to be the most English-like programming language I have ever seen, because almost operators can be words, and it lets you use "the" anywhere (for example, this stupid example I just came up with: firstnumber = 1 secondnumber = 2 if the firstnumber is equal to the secondnumber then set the sum to 5 end if is a valid AppleScript program. Are there any programming languages that are even more English-like than these?

    Hey guys, I'm having trouble building an Elf file within Eclipse. It seems that everytime I build, a PE / portable executable for windows is created. I've gone into the Binary Parser section and checked Elf Parser while making sure that everything else is unchecked. However, I continue to end up with a PE which I cannot run on Linux. Any ideas? I've read over the official tutorial but it is rather light on details, compared to all the options one can use when building an executable out of a python script. For the record, my python script uses Python 2.5.2, wxPython/wxWidgets 2.8 and MySQLdb 1.2.2; so if you have specific tips for py2exe with those packages that would be much appreciated (and yes, I've seen the Py2EXE and wxPython page).

    I am looking for a way to programmatically obtain the path to the app.config file from within a Windows Service executable. The build process changes App.config to program-name.exe.config and I could do something like: var configFile = Path.Combine(AppDomain.CurrentDomain.BaseDirectory, "program-name.exe.config"); However, I'm looking for some way of obtaining the config file name at runtime that doesn't involve hard coding the exe name into the application. ConfigurationManager has some way of doing it, so it must be possible.

I am running Mac OS X version 10.6.3 Gitnub version 0.9.1 I have copied the GitNub.app to my applications folder and created a new folder under /usr/local/ called "bin" to put the 'nub' executable inside of it.

For security reasons, I need to prevent the compiled program from calling system calls.
