Image rotate to mouse using Jquery and CSS

I have a compass image and am trying to get the needle to follow the mouse around the page, exactly how the images are rotated in the following demo but without having to shift and click. I'm having trouble breaking down that code however, so any help would be most appreciated. I have created 2 views named "FirstView" and "SecondView".SecondView's nib file has an UIImage view object as its IBOtlet.Now I am getting an UIImage object from some FirstViewController's method.Now I am setting the SecondViewController's imageView property with that image and then I am pushing my SecondView Controller's object in Navigation Controller.The SecondView gets loaded but that image is not shown in that view. remove/ignore float from outer div

This may sound weird but i have some css which aligns mys divs. In one place i also use http://www.brunildo.org/test/img_center.html which centers images. Now i want my divs inside a larger div to go to another line if this one gets full. float: left seems to be the answer. The problem is it ruins my formatting. Including solution in the above link. I have this test code. If i remove the width and float it looks fine except it may take up too much space and not go to another line. I was thinking i could use float on an outerdiv and center the image within. However float: left is still breaking it. Custom cell in list in Flash AS3

I am no expert in Flash, and I need some quick help here, without needing to learn everything from scratch. Short story, I have to make a list where each cell contains an image, two labels, and a button. List/Cell example: img - label - label - button img - label - label - button As a Java-programmer, I have tried to quicly learn the syntax and visualness of Flash and AS3, but with no luck so far. I have fairly understood the basics of movie clips etc. I saw a tutorial on how to add a list, and add some text to it. So I dragged in a list, and in the code went list.addItem({label:"hello"}); , and that worked ofc. So i thought if I double-clicked the MC of the list, i would get to tweak some things. In there I have been wandering around different halls of cell-renderers etc. I have now come to the point that I entered the CellRenderer_skinUp or something, and customized it to my liking. When this was done, I expected i could use list.addItem(); and get an empty "version" of my cell, with the img, labels and the button. But AS3 expects an input in addItem. From my object-oriented view, I am thinking that i have to create an object of the cell i have made, but i have no luck reaching it.. I tried to go var test:CellRenderer = list.listItem; list.addItem(test); ..But with no luck. This is just for funsies, but I really want to make this work, however not so much that I am willing to read up on ALOT of Flash and AS3. I felt that I was closing in on the prize, but the compiler expected a semicolon after the variable (list.addItem({test:something});). Note: If possible, I do NOT want this: list.addItem({image:"src",label:"text",label"text",button:"text"}); Well.. It actually is what I want, but I would really like to custom-draw everything. Does anyone get what I am trying to do, and has any answers for me? Am I approaching this the wrong way? I have searched the interwebs for custom list-cells, but with no luck. Have to put files in static_dir but need to read them afterwards

I just started using google app engine. In order to use templates, I'm using jinja2. I want to add images dynamically after I set the width and height of the img tag. I used PIL in order to read the image size and put the one I want. However when I open the image with PIL, I need it not to be in a static_dir and to put the image in the img tag, I need it to be in the static_dir. As a testing solution I've copied the folder to see if I get results and I did. But as you can see having each image saved twice is kind of bad.

Website image caching with Apache

How can I get static content on Apache to be {cached by browser} and not {checked for freshness {with every request}}? I'm working on a website hosted on Apache webserver. Recently, I was testing something with headers (Content-Type for different types of content) and saw a lot of conditional requests for images. Example: 200 /index.php?page=1234&action=list 304 /favicon.ico 304 /img/logo.png 304 /img/arrow.png (etc.) Although the image files are static content and are cached by the browser, every time an user opens a page that links to them, they are conditionally requested, to which they send "304 Not Modified". That's good (less data transferred), but it means 20+ more requests with every page load (longer page load due to all those round-trips, even with Keep-Alive and pipelining enabled). How do I tell the browser to keep the existing file and not check for newer version? EDIT: the mod_expires method works, even with the favicon.

So why does the UIImageView won't display a image taken with the camera inside a UINavigationController?

Eliminate duplicates in SQL query

i have a table with 6 fields. the columns are ID, new_id price,title,Img,Active. I have datawhich is duplicated for the price column. When I do a select i want to show only distinct rows where new_id is not the same. e.g.- ID New_ID Price Title Img Active 1 1 20.00 PA-1 0X4... 1 2 1 10.00 PA-10 0X4... 1 3 3 20.00 PA-11 0X4... 1 4 4 30.00 PA-5 0X4... 1 5 9 20.00 PA-99A 0X4... 1 6 3 50.00 PA-55 0X4... 1 When the select statement runs, only rows with ID (1,4,9,6) should show. Reason being the new_ID with the higher price should show up. How can i do this?

Is there a way to cut and paste or clone CSS from one element to another using JQuery?

I have a situation where I'm wrapping an image with a span and I want to remove all the CSS from the image and apply it to the span. Is there a way to do this with JQuery? JQuery: $(img).wrap('<span />'); Style Sheet: img { border: 5px solid red; padding: 10px; … } I would like do to do this with out editing the HTML or CSS. For example adding a class to the image would not work very well in my situation. I need a way to truly remove the CSS from one element and place it on another.

Extjs 3.4 - Button Icon does not show or does not center

I want to fill a button with an icon I created but whatever I have tried just seems to put the icon either half cut off and way left, or it doesn't show at all. I've been trying different combinations of CSS and the icon, iconcls, cls button options. I was following the Ext 3 buttons example page but that doesn't seem to display anything for me... Making dynamic images have static filenames

My website currently has various links to a php script that generates the images dynamically. For example, the link may say "img source="/dynamic_images.php?type=pie-chart&color=red" Obviously, this is not great for SEO. I'd like to somehow make the filenames of these links appear to be static, and use a solution (like Mod-Rewrite) to ensure that the images can still be dynamically created. I suppose I could have something like "img src="average-profits-in-scuba-diving-industry.png?type=pie-chart&color=red" (and use Mod-Rewrite to take care of changing the filename prefix to dynamic_images.php), but I'm afraid that the search engines would shy away from the querystring on the end of the image filename. Any solutions? Thanks in advance.

server automatically changes the case of files extensions

I have the following problem, if I upload any file to my web server it automatically renames the file to an uppercase extension. For instance: If I upload picture.jpg my server automatically changes it to picture.JPG If I use <img src="picture.jpg"> my server returns a 404 error but if I use <img src="picture.JPG"> then the server displays the image. Can the .htaccess solve this issue? something with RewriteRule and RewriteCond? RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^$\.jpg [NC] RewriteRule ^(.*)$ $1\.JPG [R=301,L] Any help will be greatly appreciated! jQuery fadeTo not working in IE8

I have a div fading in using fadeTo. It works great in Firefox and IE9. It does not work in IE8. I do not mind changing from fadeTo to fadeIn or some other method of fading in a div as long as it works in IE8.

How can I center a box of unknown width in CSS?

I have this html: <div class="object-box"> <img ... /> <span class="caption">This is the caption</span> </div> Which is accompanied with this CSS: .object-box .caption, .object-box img { display: block; } .object-box { border: 1px solid; } I would like the surrounding div to shrink-wrap to its contents. I can achieve this by using float: ... or display: inline-block. However, I'd also like it to be centered on the page, using margin: auto. The two approaches don't seem to be compatible. Is it possible to create such a shrink-wrapped, centered container, without adding a wrapper element?
