    What would be a good way to make a script run every time my computer connects to the network in Ubuntu? Would I somehow use dbus to do this? Background: when I'm on the train I run a short Perl script to click a button on the splash page. That way I can immediately use the internet without having to manually visit a pointless website. My script is a near-perfect solution, but it would be perfect if it could run automatically any time I connect to the network.

  • Add separate domain name to Wordpress admin area with htaccess

    I have a Wordpress installation in a seperate folder on my server (meaning it is not in the root folder). I have a htaccess rewrite rule that maps Domain A to folder A. Inside folder A is the Wordpress admin folder, let's call it folder A.B. I tried mapping Domain B to folder A.B., but I can't get it to work properly. When you log in to Wordpress via /admin, you get redirected to /wp-login.php (so from folder A.B. to folder A), maybe that is where I get into trouble. So what I would like to do is this: Domain A folder A Domain B folder A.B Note that this is not for security purposes, I just like the idea of www.domainb.com instead of www.domaina.com/wp-admin. Can this be done with Wordpress?

    I have problem accessing Organization Service when I try to add it as a Service Reference in Visual Studio. However, I can Access the Service in browser. I have tried to add OrganizationData service and there is no issue with that. An Error occurred while attempting to find service at 'http://xxxxxxxx/xxxxx/XRMServices/2011/Organization.svc'.   • cannot add a user to sysadmin role in SQL Server

    Hello everyone, I am using SQL Server 2008 Management Studio. The current logon account belongs to machine local administrator group. I am using Windows Integrated Security mode in SQL Server 2008. My issue is, after log into SQL Server Management Studio, I select my login name under Security/Logins, then select Server Roles Tab, then select the last item -- sysadmin to make myself belong to this group/role, but it says I do not have enough permission. Any ideas what is wrong? I think local administrator should be able to do anything. :-) thanks in advance, George

    Hi!. ISSUE:- I am using CFbuilder and my coldfusion server is on a Remote Desktop Services (RDS). Everything is working fine except that I do not see the folder that I am currently working on under CFbuilder /Navigator or CFbuilder /Prject/Build Working Set/. Even if I try to add "Prject/Build Working Set/Select working set/New" its not working. I want to add a "Working Set" so that it can show on my CFbuilder/Navigator on the right side.     i have a problem: Firefox adds <tbody> whether it's there or not, after <table>. I have no problem with this. Nokogiri doesn't add it. I need Nokogiri to emulate Firefox's behavior. How can i add tbody after <table> elements to a given HTML page ? If tbody is already there, then move on to the next <table>....until all <tbody> tags are placed by Nokogiri. Thank you.

    I tried to add multiple series in highcharts synchronously, but the response time is very slow. It took almost 3-5 seconds to display the charts. Here is part of the code. while(chart.series.length>0){ chart.series[0].remove(true); } chart.addSeries(series1); chart.addSeries(series2); chart.addSeries(series3); chart.addSeries(series4); chart.addSeries(series5); When I remain only one addSeries command, it response immediately, so I realized it may be the problem of add multiple series in highcharts synchronously. Not so good at highcharts, so is there anyone could help me about this? Or maybe there is another way to do this, I am much appreciated.

  • iPhone: Add background button to view when UITableView has no cells

    I have a UITableViewController, when there is no data to populate the UITableView, I want to add a button, which uses an image. So, rather than the user seeing a tableview with no records, they will see an image that says, "No records have been added, Tap to add one", then they click and we create a new one. I assumed I would just hide the UITableView, then create the button, but I never see the button.     When I set up a PC, I would like to be able to have it so when anyone logs into that PC from the domain a couple of IT bookmarks will be in IE. I read I can do this with a Domain-Level group policy, but unfortunately, with my current domain group policies have not gone well, so I have fear (Rather not get into this in this question). Can I do this at the PC level when I deploy a new computer? So any domain users who log into the PC will have these bookmarks added when their profile is created (no roaming profiles). These are XP machines, and the domain is run by 2003 controllers.

  • Missing 16:10 resolutions with Nvidia drivers (Can't add resolutions)

    Hello, I have a laptop with a Nvidia 9650M GT and used the drivers that Seven brought me. It works fine but Metro 2033 tells me that i have to upgrade my drivers to play the game. So i did it. But since i did a clean install of the new Nvidia drivers, i just have 1440*900 or 4:3 resolutions. I usually played with 1280*800 or 1184*740 (for performance issue) With the "old" drivers i was able to create custom resolution (1184*740) in Nvidia control panel but now when i try it tells me that "my monitor cannot support this resolution". When i insist, it works but soon as i shut down my computer i have to recreate it.. Do anyone have a fix ? Thank you

I'd love to have a right sidebar widget that shows me, for any email I choose to read, the list of previous conversations/emails with that person. Is this possible? I'm using Chrome Ideally, this sidebar would bump or replace the contextual ads that now display over there.

    I am trying to convert a list of property id numbers that has a standard format of 0000-A-00000-00-00, where my worksheet has the various combinations of 1-A-123 10-B-1234 Ideally they would read as follows 0001-A-00123-0000-00 0010-B-01234-0000-00 I've tried using the custom number formatting but it doesn't like the letter in the middle of the number. I didn't know if my only option was to break them apart and then put them back together again. I would accept a solution that merely put the leading zeros at the front of the number, (max is 4 characters) so the result could look like 0001-A-123
