• Removing "Transfer To..." and "Show Converted Files" from uTorrent's context menu

  Under uTorrent version 3.1.3 (and possibly earlier), the context menu has taken on 2 new options, "Transfer To...", for moving a download to a mobile device, and "Show Converted Files", for built-in conversion. I prefer to do all my file management and conversions manually, and the options are, at best, annoying space wasters. In fact, I'm not sure these features are even available outside of uTorrent Plus, which is not something I run. Is it possible to remove them from the context menu?

• How do I fix my recycle bin that doesn't show the deleted items?

  The icon shows that it's full. I just deleted stuff, so I know that it's full. But when I open it, it doesn't show the deleted items. The only option I have is to restore them or empty them. Help me out. It's VERY VERY important for me to fix this problem since I use this workstation for my studio purposes. P.S. It's a Windows 7 Ultimate (x86) machine.

  Hi All, I have a datagrid where each row has information on Employees in a company. I would like to allow each row the ability to show/hide extra information. The extra information panel has a lot of textboxes/labels, all of which gets its values from the database. Everytime the page loads all the data is got from the database at the start, some of it is hidden. Is there a better way to achieve my goal? Or is there a way to only load an employees extra details when the Show/Hide button is click? Thanks in advance!

For example, when looking at RSOP for an OU, I have loads of options which are mostly not specified - can I automatically filter it to show only e.g. that it doesn't allow to use control panel or install software, instead of looking through all options?   Hi guys, I just installed xampp and I brought one of my live sites into it to be able to start working from localhost. So to view my site, I navigate to localhost/example.com I noticed some issues with images when on my html, I had for example: <img src="/new_pictures/05.jpg" alt="Central Market"/> Image wouldn't show up, but then I removed the / and this works: <img src="new_pictures/05.jpg" alt="Central Market"/> I seem to have a similar problem with the CSS background image, but I can't get it to work-if I remove the / there, the image doesn't show up on the live site. How do I make the background image show up on localhost? • How do I show full names of folders that contain bookmarks in the Google Chrome Bookmark Bar?

  I have Google Chrome installed on Ubuntu and I have made a number of folders of bookmarks placed within my bookmark bar. The problem is that some of the folder's names are abbreviated like "Ru---" for "Ruby". This is kind of annoying when I have more than one folder that starts with "Ru". Also, my bookmark bar is not completely full, so there is plenty of space for these names to show. Anyone know how to fix this?

• Android Progress Dialog not showing

But when it runs within a runnable (runOnUiThread), the dialog does not show. Examining the pd variable on the debugger, it shows that is is created, it is running and it is visible, but in practice it is not visible. Any suggestion? UPDATE: I did the obvious test I should have done in the first place. I commented the DISMISS message. And the progress dialog did show up. It appeared too late, after the runnable was finished. I undestand now that the DISMISS message did dismiss the not-yet-visible ProgressDialog, that's why I did not see it. The question becomes now: I need the ProgressDialog to show BEFORE the runnable code is executed. And it is not so straight forward. My call hierarchy is like this: onScrollEventChanged --> runOnUiThread ( --> checkScrollLimits --> if need to scroll show ProgressDialog "Loading" get new data into table dismiss ProgressDIalog ) I tried something like this: onScrollEventChanged --> checkScrollLimits --> if need to scroll show ProgressDialog "Loading" --> runOnUiThread ( get new data into table dismiss ProgressDIalog ) But still the dismiss message got there before the ProgressDialog could show. According to Logcat there is a five second interval between the arrival of the SHOW message and the arrival of the DISMISS message. UPDATE II: I though I will use the isShowing() method of ProgressDIalog pd = ProgressDialog.show(...) while(!pd.isShowing()); But it does not help at all, it returns true even if the dialog is not showing yet.

Before you start misjudging it as one of those non sense drama / entertaining reality shows, let me tell you that it is not a typical music, games, fight or dance reality show. Satyamev Jayate is all about the real people of India, their problems and how to tackle them.  This is not just a reality show, its movement to educate people about the social evils. Its been many years since I spent couple of hours  in front of TV as most of the programs are too cynical or does not add much value.  In my childhood I use to anxiously wait for Mahabarath or He-Man TV shows to start but after a two decades I waited anxiously for the start of Satyamev Jayate. The wait was worth and the 1 hours 30 minutes spent watching it meaningful. When was the last time you were so satisfied after watching a TV show and inspired to do something? I don’t remember. Today, the show focused on female foeticide and its impact. It showed women who were tortured and forced to abort female foetuses. On the show few brave women shared their experiences of giving birth to girl babies and rough times they are going through with their in-laws & husbands. The show not only focused on the problem but also on the root cause of the evil,  inspiring people working to tackle it and what every individual can do his part to solve it.  The best part of the show is,  its not a blame game. When there is a problem most of the people quickly get into identifying who is wrong and start blaming them instead of solve the actual problem.  Aamir did not blame anyone for female foeticide – neither the government who don’t impose strict rules, nor the doctors who abort girl babies to make money or the mother-in-laws & husbands who torcher girl baby mothers are blamed. He careful highlighted the problem, showed horrifying statistics and their impact on the future society and few inspiring people working to tackle the problem.  He touched heart and stirred a movement against the issue. First time ever I voted for a reality show through SMS and it’s for Satyamev Jayate. I’m proud to do so.   I'm running WinXP SP2. Around 50% of the time, when I slot in my USB drive. Windows explorer refuses to show the drive. If I click on the Safely remove hardware icon on the tray, I can see a menu item for the drive - say drive G: (the light on the USB drive is also on) If I type in G: into the address bar of explorer, it says 'Cannot find...' If I type in G: into a command prompt window, it works and I can do a dir to see the list of directories on the drive. To fix this, I've to remove-reinsert the pen-drive. But doing it every day is annoying. Also this happens only on this machine.. I use this drive on my home machine and it works flawlessly each time. Can anyone suggest things that I could try ? • How to get top command output to show rake arguments?

  In the past, all of our servers have automatically shown command arguments passed to rake when we view them in top. For example: But on this particular server, we get this instead (picture is top running, showing the rake command, but not showing any of the arguments that had been passed to rake): Both servers are running Ubuntu (though the server without rake commands is a newer flavor of ubuntu). Both run rake through ruby enterprise edition (as powered by rvm). Can't seem to find any documentation on how top chooses what to show in the "command" column, other than the obvious "more data/less data" toggle (all screenshots are shown with the extra data enabled. Anyone encountered anything similar to this?

• Ubuntu - why would /var/log/dmesg stop updating after boot? does not show panic/cpu_hung errors which the console shows

  So I have an Ubuntu 10.04 install VM on a host. Latest 2.6.38-15-server kernel . /var/log/dmesg displays only the bootup but will stop recording after that. It will not show the trace/cpu_hung errors I am trying to troubleshoot. /var/log/dmesg.0 , dmesg.1 nothing - I did a string search for the text that displays on the console during the crash and NOTHING gets logged anywhere in /var/log/* . I have to call into the provider and ask them to take a screenshot of the console since nothing shows in dmesg. Why would /var/log/dmesg not record kernel panics, or such?

• Super slow website - show me what's been downloaded so far.

  Every now and then a website becomes super-slow (but not broken) because there are too many people looking at it at the same time. When I try and view such a site, say with firefox, I can see that it is downloading all sorts of components of the site because of the progress information printed at the bottom of the window and I'm sitting there thinking "If only the browser would show me what it's got so far. I don't care if its a jumbled mess, I just want to see what you've got". Does any browser offer such an option?

• Cisco login on-failure using syslog doesn't show username on failure?

  interesting issue I am running into. I am trying to get syslog rmeote logging working with a Cisco switch. i have it working and logging for both on-success and on-failure. However when it is a failed login attempt it does not show the user name that tried to log in in the logs? • Windows 7, file properties, date modified, how do you show seconds?

  Anyone know a way to immediately show the seconds of a file's date modified property in the GUI? So if you create a file, any file in any directory, right-click and choose Properties, the date modified (if it's recent) will say something like "dd/mm/yyy hh:mm, one minute ago" - reminder this is in Windows 7. Windows XP did it normally. Then they changed something. If you wait a while, eventually you'll see the seconds, I'm not sure how long a while is, but this is incredibly annoying if you want to troubleshoot something that relies on the seconds of timestamps... is there a setting? registry key I can change perhaps? I'm literally using Chrome, pasting in the path of the directory to be able to see the seconds quickly (as a workaround) but would be nice to be able to use Win7.

• Is there a way for Windows 7 to show remaining disk space in the status bar?

  This is really driving me nuts. I do a lot of moving media files to and from USB drives, and I am constantly looking to the status bar to see how much remaining space I have on a drive. It's quick, and doesn't involve any clicking. At least, that's what I used to do using Windows XP. Is there a way to get the status bar in Windows 7 to behave in the same way? I saw in a Wikipedia article that some features have been removed from Windows 7, including these two that seem to be affecting me the most: The size of any selected item and free disk space are not shown on the status bar. When no items are selected in a folder, neither the details pane nor the status bar show the total size of files in the folder. Are there any plug-ins or registry tweaks that can be made to return this functionality? If not what is the quickest way to get the remaining space on a drive without having to click on something and leaving the directory you are working in?

• Any web interface to show deployments history with mcollective?

  I'm using mcollective & puppet for deployments. I would like to know if there is any user interface which allows me to choose a specific package/version and deploy and any user interface i can already use which allows me to show the deployments history and their status. (I saw that glu has a nice user interface i'm looking for something like it, http://linkedin.github.com/glu/docs/latest/html/tutorial.html ) I wondered if i could use glu (so that i can get their deployment history gui if they have a good one...) with mcollective but from what i understand they are parallel frameworks.

  Hello, I have a somewhat strange case. Whenever one of my coworkers executes this line: show slave status; from their MySQL clients, it works smoothly. But if I do that, it says: ERROR 1227 (42000): Access denied; you need the SUPER,REPLICATION CLIENT privilege for this operation We are all going against the same database, and if I check privileges I can see: GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON . TO 'usermysql'@'%' IDENTIFIED BY PASSWORD 'password' There's something wrong with my computer.. but I can't pinpoint where it is.. Thanks EDIT: It's kinda bizarre.. it goes through a VPN remotely. But if I change the internet connection, then it works.. If the previous internet connection is restored, it doesn't.. Could we classify this among the great mysteries of the world? Or someone has an idea?

• Rename file in XP, only select file name, but show file extension.

  So if I have a file called: test.txt and I want to rename it, there are two options (depending on the Show already known file extension option): 1) ON: it selects everything (test.txt), meaning I have to manually select "test" and replace it with the new filename. (which is irritating) 2) OFF: Only "test" is editable (and visible). Problem is that I frequently need to change the file extension of a file, but if the option is turned on, it's a pain to change the file name. I know that in Win7 it does something smart: It only selects the file name when you press rename[F2], but also lets you edit the file extension. Is there a way to accomplish this?
