  My os: windows xp, ruby: 1.8.7, rails: 2.3.5 Everything was fine, but I just installed a "gcc-4.4.0-mingw32-bin", and run gem install rdiscount, then my rails can't start. • Interface builder UIButton custom background image not working on simulator/device

  I'm trying to do something really simple. I have an image for a button and I'm trying to set it on a custom button in interface builder. I set the background image accordingly (no case sensitivity problem here). In interface builder it shows up, but in the simulator or on the device it doesn't appear at all. Just the button's text will appear. Do I need to turn on some flag or something of the sort?

• InteropServices COMException when executing a .net app from a web CGI script on Windows Server 2003

  Disclaimer: I'm completely clueless about .net and COM. I have a vendor's application that appears to be written in .net and I'm trying to wrap it with a web form (a cgi-bin Perl script) so I can eventually launch this vendor's app from a separate computer. I'm on a Windows Server 2003 R2 SE SP1 system and I'm using Apache 2.2 for the web server and ActivePerl 5.10.0.1004 for the cgi script. My cgi script calls the vendor's app that resides on the same machine using the Perl backtick operator. ... $result = "Result: " . `$vendorsPath/$vendorsExecutable $arg1 $arg2`; ... Right now I'm just running IE web browser locally on the server machine and accessing "http://localhost/cgi-bin/myPerlScript.pl". The vendor's app fails and logs a debug message that includes the following stack trace (I changed a couple names so as to not give away the vendor's identity): ... I actually developed my web script there and got it completely working there before I tried moving it to the Windows Server 2003 machine. So what's different about the Windows Server 2003 machine that would keep the vendor's .net app from being executed successfully by a web cgi script? Can I fix this problem somehow to make it work on my server or will the vendor have to make a change to their .net app and ship out a new version? I'm probably the only person in the world who is trying to execute this vendor's app from a separate program, so I hate to bother the vendor with the issue if there's a workaround that I can implement myself here on my server machine. Plus, I'm in kind of a hurry and I don't want to wait 4 or 6 months for the vendor to put in a fix and deploy a new version. Thanks for any advise you can give.

• MinGW/G++/g95 link problem - libf95 undefined reference to `MAIN_'

  Hi folks, Summing up, my problem consists on compiling g95 objects inside a C++ application. Actually, I'm constructing an interface for an old fortran program. For this task, I'm using the wxWidgets GUI library, and calling fortran subroutines when necessary. At the beginning, I was developing the entire project compiling my fortran files with gfortran (which comes with GCC) and linking them with my app by the g++ -o... command. Everything was working fine but some numbers values calculated by my fotran subroutines returned NAN values. Doing some research, I realized that compiling my fortran files with gfortran with the -m32 flag, generates this NAN values problem. Although compiling with -m64 flag, my code works properly well. The only trouble here is that my App should be 32bits and then I tryed another compiller. Here I found g95 Fortran compiler, which compiles my fortran code and gives the right output on a 32bits environment. • How can I define a clojure type that implements the servlet interface?

  I'm attempting to use deftype (from the bleeding-edge clojure 1.2 branch) to create a java class that implements the java Servlet interface. I would expect the code below to compile (even though it's not very useful). (ns foo [:import [javax.servlet Servlet ServletRequest ServletResponse]]) (deftype servlet [] javax.servlet.Servlet (service [this #^javax.servlet.ServletRequest request #^javax.servlet.ServletResponse response] nil)) But it doesn't compile. So the fact that the return type of the method is void shouldn't be a problem. To be clear: I know that the typical case is to subclass one of the servlet abstract classes rather than implement this interface directly, but it should still be possible to do this. • NSWindow NSResizableWindowMask resize corner wrong place

  Hello, if i use NSResizableWindowMask flag in my NSWindow the "resize corner glyph" is on the top right. I can resize when pointing on the lower right corner. I use a own created NSView with it, and set it as content view with setContentView method. I ' dont use a bottom bar. Any idea of what i'm doing wrong ? Thanks.

The ticket #517 seems to be just about it: http://hackage.haskell.org/trac/hackage/ticket/517 However, perhaps it is possible to set this flag via ~/.cabal/config file? If not, how can I get working cabal-install build with the patch from #517 without installing Cabal-0.9, which is currently mandatory (due to one patch from December)?

If not, how can I get working cabal-install build with the patch from #517 without installing Cabal-0.9, which is currently mandatory (due to one patch from December)?

  We are getting the error above on some pages of an ASP.NET MVC application when it is deployed to a 64 bit Windows 2008 server box. It works fine on our development machines, though these are 32 bit XP. Just wondered if anyone had encountered this before, and has any suggestions? Details as follows: Bad binary signature. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131192) Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code. Exception Details: System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException: Bad binary signature. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131192) All projects are set to compile for Any CPU, and are compiled in Release mode. The ASP.NET site is precompiled, and the precompiled build is on a 64 bit Windows 2008 TeamCity build agent. Thanks in advance. EDIT We're still plagued by this. I have looked at all the binaries in the website's bin directory using corflags.exe. None has the 32BIT flag set, and all have a CorFlags value of 9 except for Antlr3.Runtime.dll which has a value of 1. The problem only affects certain pages, and it seems to be those which use FluentValidation (including FluentValidation.Mvc and FluentValidation.xValIntegration assemblies). None of these shows anything out of the ordinary when inspected with corflags.exe, and there are no odd looking dependencies revealed by ildasm. When built locally (32 bit Windows XP) the site deploys and runs fine. When built on the build agents (64 bit Windows 2008 Server) the site displays these errors. • C# 4.0 'dynamic' and foreach statement

I've discovered that the second loop actually is looked like this when is compiled: foreach (object x in (IEnumerable) /* dynamic cast */ (object) new Foo()) { ... } and every access to the x variable results with the dynamic lookup/cast so C# ignores that I've specify the correct x's type in the foreach statement - that was a bit surprising for me... And also, C# compiler completely ignores that collection from dynamically typed variable may implements IEnumerable<T> interface! The full foreach statement behavior is described in the C# 4.0 specification 8.8.4 The foreach statement article. But... It's perfectly possible to implement the same behavior at runtime! It's possible to add an extra CSharpBinderFlags.ForEachCast flag, correct the emmited code to looks like: foreach (int x in (IEnumerable<int>) /* dynamic cast with the CSharpBinderFlags.ForEachCast flag */ (object) new Foo()) { ... } And add some extra logic to CSharpConvertBinder: Wrap IEnumerable collections and IEnumerator's to IEnumerable<T>/IEnumerator<T>. Wrap collections doesn't implementing Ienumerable<T>/IEnumerator<T> to implement this interfaces. So today foreach statement iterates over dynamic completely different from iterating over statically known collection variable and completely ignores the type information, specified by user. All that results with the different iteration behavior (IEnumarble<T>-implementing collections is being iterated as only IEnumerable-implementing) and more than 150x slowdown when iterating over dynamic. Simple fix will results a much better performance: foreach (int x in (IEnumerable<int>) dynamicVariable) { But why I should write code like this? It's very nicely to see that sometimes C# 4.0 dynamic works completely the same if the type will be known at compile-time, but it's very sadly to see that dynamic works completely different where IT CAN works the same as statically typed code. So my question is: why foreach over dynamic works different from foreach over anything else?

So either it compiles ignoring the errors with some combinations of the fixes I've tried, or it errors with Error 410 It is an error to use a section registered as allowDefinition='MachineToApplication' beyond application level.   I am having an issue where in reordering my UITableViewCells, the tableView is not scrolling with the cell. Only a blank row appears and any subsequent scrolling gets an Array out of bounds error without any of my code in the Stack Trace. Here is a quick video of the problem.   My application works just fine until, in some unidentified conditions, it begins throwing this errors: When these errors start appearing, they appear in all over the application, no matter the code is built using ObjectDataSource or SqlDataSource. • Java Regexp patterns have double backslashes, how to store patterns in readable format

  Would be great to have convenient way of storing patterns with single backslash. Some workarounds: store it in the file and use NIO to read. Cons: JEE does not allow IO access. Store somehow in JNDI. Maybe new to java 5 Pattern.LITERAL flag can help? I want to work with normal pattern string, like \d, not \\d.
