    Hi, I am working With Microsoft Word VBA,macros. My question : Is there way to get sub-topic and master-topic that precedes a selected body text ? Here is an example: Master topic (level 1) sub-topic 1 (level 2) body text a body text b body text c sub-topic 2 (level 2) body text d body text e Other MISC topics (level 2) body text f body text g body text h Here if 'bodytext e' is selected I would like to run a macro and get the result as 'Master topic:sub-topic 1' I have tried with range,parent ,Scope.Information(wdActiveEndSectionNumber) etc but nothing seem to work!!!     I have some code that prints a string, but if the string is say: "Blah blah blah"... and there are no line breaks, the text occupies a single line.     Hi, I cant seem to find the modifications I made to web.config in my FeatureRecievers Activated event. I try to get the modifications from the SpWebApplication.WebConfigModifications collection in the deactivate event, but this is always empty.... And the strangest thing is that my changes are still reverted after deactivating the feature... My question is, should I not be able to view all changes made to the web.config files when accessing the SpWebApplication.WebConfigModifications collection in the Deactivating event?     Hi All, In a "Issue" list, I have a mandatory field called "Status", to control the status (Identified, implemented, postponed, etc.). I need to control the behavior of each record based on that field content. For certain status the record should became read only, and only admin users should be able to edit / change it.     I created a Web Application called testwebapp and then a site collection (testsite). When I try siteCollection = new SPSite("http://localhost"); in Visual Studio 2008 it throws an error Web Application is not found. Of course, the localhost works in IE and I don't know why testwebapp doesn't work. Any ideas? TIA! David

If so, what should be the correct value? What should i do to simulate the behaviour of 'Upload' menu??(i.e. when 'Upload' menu is visible, 'Import From REP' menu is visible and when 'Upload' menu is not visible 'Import From REP' menu is also not visible. ) Thanks in advance Anoop

    I want to use audience targeting feature for webpart with FBA. I tried to add FBA user directly in sharepoint group or added the user to a asp.net role and then added the role to sharepoint group, but both failed. My observation is that all FBA users can see the webpart content no matter whether they are specified in audience targeting or not. After googling it, I found there are three different conclusion about this, FBA cannot be used with audience targeting FBA can be used with audience targeting FBA can be used with audience targeting if the FBA user is added directly to sharepoint group May I know which is the correct explanation? Where can I find official Microsoft documentation regarding to this problem?

  • Custom Database integration with MOSS 2007

    Hopefully someone has been down this road before and can offer some sound advice as far as which direction I should take. I am currently involved in a project in which we will be utilizing a custom database to store data extracted from excel files based on pre-established templates (to maintain consistency). We currently have a process (written in C#.Net 2008) that can extract the necessary data from the spreadsheets and import it into our custom database. What I am primarily interested in is figuring out the best method for integrating that process with our portal. What I would like to do is let SharePoint keep track of the metadata about the spreadsheet itself and let the custom database keep track of the data contained within the spreadsheet. So, one thing I need is a way to link spreadsheets from SharePoint to the custom database and vice versa. As these spreadsheets will be updated periodically, I need tried and true way of ensuring that the data remains synchronized between SharePoint and the custom database. I am also interested in finding out how to use the data from the custom database to create reports within the SharePoint portal. Any and all information will be greatly appreciated.

    Do you know what basic information MUST include a paragraph (w:p) in document.xml inside a *.docx document, that specifies an image? I do know there must be <a:blip r:embed="rId4" /> specifing the relation id, but what else? It's very hard to find it in google and experimenting with cutting out tags from a ready document or reading the specification takes a lot of time. An example with all the required tags would be greatly appreciated.

  • excel 2007 vba: how to refer to HPageBreaks

    I'm trying to write a macro which can look into the list of horizontal page breaks that a worksheet keeps, and it seems like HPageBreaks should be exactly that. I can add or remove page breaks from it, but I can't seem to isolate the collection itself to look at its contents. Even adding a watch and looking at ActiveSheet.HPageBreaks just brings up a generic looking object with a count field equal to 0 regardless of existing page breaks. I'm really confused about this now. Is there any way to look into the existing page breaks within a sheet? A listing of what rows they occur on/between would be great.

For this i created a web application with windows authentication for intranet zone and after that, I created an extension for an internet zone with fba. In the internet extension we have the following requirement: - able to acess to sharepoint backoffice using fba. - have a authentication mecanism for portal visitors, where they can authenticate and acess to a page where they can subscribe the newsletter and define some site appearance (this users can't acess to sharepoint backoffice). My idea is use the aspnet membership provider to authenticate both users and create diferente roles for them. Anyone suggests another approach? Is there any way to ensure that visitors (2 case) do not enter the backoffice portal? Thanks

I know that I can add to out of box ribbons by specifying the Tabs idMSo value but how do I do that for a custom ribbon tab. I have already tried the ID value of the custom ribbon, but it juts duplicates the ribbon? have also tried idMso and idQ attributes passing in the required custom tab Id but no success. I can add it to out of box tab group by specifying the idMso value but not to custom tab regards

  • Access 2007 VBA : Building a listbox with selection choices from another list box

    So there are 8 categories that may be associated to each order, but not necessarily all of them. So i was going to build a list box that allowed the user to double click each of the category they wish to associate when they have an "Order Detail" form opened up (unbound form that has hidden text boxes with all needed ID numbers). I want to have another empty text box right beside it that will allow me to append the selections (up to 8) so the user can see that they have been added. So one list box with the default choices, and when a choice is double clicked, it adds that choice to the second list box to see the tally so to speak. What is the VB for getting something like this done? Thanks Justin

    I have 2 webparts which are connected, where the provider sends a string to the consumer. However it fails to work if I put any TextBox controls in the consumer webpart. (works fine if I use a Label or Literal control. The idea is that the consumer is to be composed of form controls like TextBoxes. e.g. the codeproject sample at http://www.codeproject.com/KB/sharepoint/ConnectingCustomWebParts.aspx Works fine... until you replace the consumer Label control with a TextBox. Any help gratefully received.
