  • Using Hudson to build RPM packages.

    I've a C project set up in Hudson doing nighly builds, i've also an .rpm spec file used for creating rpms from these sources. Does anyone have any experience on how to build rpms out of all this using Hudson ? Right now the only solution I see is to set up a job running a script that checks svn exports the sources ,creates a tarball and does the whole rpm build. This doesn't seem to integrate well with Hudson - e.g. how do I collect the artifacts ?

    Hello, Is there any opensource or public domain repository of bugs where one can see the various bugs, symptoms of those bugs, and their fixes. The bugs could be from any part of the code, OS, GUI, device drivers etc. I guess if at there is anything like this, it might be from some open source development initiative like Linux Kernel Development, or some other Opensource project.   • How to migrate from SVN to GIT Locally

    I'm working on a project that initially used Subversion, but the remote repository was removed and i don't want to use Subversion any more. I want to migrate it to git. There's a way to do it without the remote repository, keeping all revisions history (without doing a git init .)? I've already made a subversion to git migration with git-svn with no problems it on other projects, but they were on remote repository and i cannot find any info about migrating it locally.

    I am refering to this article from Jimmy Bogard He is suggesting two projects to organize your ASP.NET MVC solution. Basically, one project for the code and another for the rendering My concern is about global.asax file. Jimmy suggested separating global.asax from global.asax.cs and put them in two differents projects When I did this, I could not compile my solution. I got this error : Could not load type 'MyProject.Web.Global'. Can someone help and show me how to solve this? Thanks

    Hi, experts, I tried to reuse the .pch to speed the build using the following way: use /Yc on stdafx.cpp to create the .pch files to a folder exclude stdafx.cpp in the project, and modify the link option It success in my machine, but failed in another, got the error message: error C2011: '*' : 'struct' type redefinition So first I want to ask whether the .pch files are machine sensitive? then secondly, the above approaches workable?     I'm developing a Visual Studio Integration Package. When I try to run the Unit Tests that are included in the unit test project that is included in the template I get the following failure on the first test: The test adapter 'VsIdeHostAdapter' threw an exception while running test 'MenuItemCallback'. Call was rejected by callee. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80010001 (RPC_E_CALL_REJECTED)) It's intermittent- a new instance of Visual Studio always spins up, then sometimes it works but usually fails.

    In my project, tree is a list of customers displayed in an ListView control, When user double clicks (or taps) on an item I should show the details of that customer, But there is no double click (or click event, mouse up and down events etc.) event in .NET CF 3.5 ListView control (we only have ItemActive and SelectedIndexChanged events) Is there anyone has figure out this problem?

This states, it is not included in Professional edition: http://www.microsoft.com/visualstudio/en-us/products However, for VS 2008, there was separate download of Team Explorer and it was posible also for Professional version. Is this changed for VS 2010?

    I have refactored some UIView sub-classes into a static library. However, when using Interface Builder to create view components for a project that uses the static library I find that it is unaware of the library classes. What do I need to do to make the class interfaces visible to Interface Builder? Update: The correct answer refers to dragging the headers into the 'XIB browser'.     Hey guys, I'm almost finished developing my large project, however I would love it if I could make it so instead of having the users profile pages at: http://mydomain.com/profile/username/USERNAME (i'm currently using .htaccess to rewrite the GET data into forward slashes and profile(.php) being read as just 'profile') But it would be some much better if I could do it so that it's like http://www.mydomain.com/USERNAME (preferred) or http://www.USERNAME.mydomain.com Any ideas or resources?     I've referenced the MSMQ v3 Object Library in a VS2010 C# project only to get: System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0x80040154): Retrieving the COM class factory for component with CLSID {0188401C-247A-4FED-99C6-BF14119D7055} failed due to the following error: 80040154 Class not registered (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80040154 (REGDB_E_CLASSNOTREG)). I've registered the library the reference points to: regsvr32 C:\windows\system32\mqoa.dll What am I missing? Assuming this works, what will I have to do at deployment to ensure the app will run on other machines with MSMQ installed?

    I have installed pylint via easy_install. I can run lint.py <filename> with success. But pydev refuses to use it. I checked "use pylint" I configured correct path I updated my python interpreter in eclipse to have pylit in pythonpath I use Eclipse Galileo I have build automatically checked I tried cleaning whole project and no errors What am I doing wrong?
