  • Can I have both index and create actions in the index view?

    Hi all, Using the perennial example of a Blog webapp (and all resources are currently automatically mapped in routes.rb): I have a simple index page that lists all my Post titles. I would like to add a form at the bottom of this page to quickly create new Posts. I'm new to Rails and can't seem to figure this out! Please help!

  • CSS styles gone after Ajax call in IE 7

    I've had a problem with my styles not being applied after AJAX calls. My styles were not in the < HEAD section of the page, and they were only recognized by IE on initial Page_Load. If you know of any other ways to fix this problem, post them here. This is more of a reference, hope this helps some people.

    I’m currently working on this theme : http://tf.ffffffive.com/fancy/ I just need a few pointers on how to get it working in IE6 and IE7 . -The positioning is a bit off. -If you guys have a helpful blog post of maybe give me a hand with some CSS coding I would really appreciate it.     I want to develop a command line tool. I didn't build one before, but I used a few, (like mercurial). What steps do I need to take to know how to do that? So what is the problem: Regular console application need to be invoked from the command line only from it's directory. Like: C:\Projects\CommanLineProject\MyProjectConsole.exe. I want to use it from the command line from any directory, like mercurial.

  • Background image flickering when mouseover - IE.

    Hello everyone, I have a contact form and I added an image as a background. The background image is flickering when I move the mouse over the fields in IE(6,7,8). If I remove the contact form (made with divs) everything is fine. I tried to build the form with table and I have the same problem. Any solution? Every idea is welcomed! Thanks!

    I am trying to test a controller method with the following code: it "should set an approved_at date and email the campaign's client" do @campaign = Campaign.create(valid_attributes) post :approve, id: @campaign.id.to_s @campaign.reload @campaign.approved_at.should_not be(nil) end However, when I run this test, I get the following error: Failure/Error: @campaign.reload ActiveRecord::RecordNotFound: Couldn't find Campaign without an ID When I run the analagous lines in the rails console, the reload works and the value is set as I need it to be. Why isn't reload working for me when I run the code in an rspec test?

  • Model binding broke after upgrade to Visual Studio 2010

    I have an ASP.net MVC 1.0 VS2008 application that I just opened in Visual Studio 2010. When I did this Studio upgraded the app from VS2008 to the VS2010 project. It also upgraded the MVC references from 1.0 to 2.0. In my app I have a class for a form post, I then use the class for the model binding in the Action method so it will auto populate the values. This worked fine in mvc 1.0 but now it does not work in 2.0 after the upgrade. Does does anyone know why? Or where I should look to resolve this?   • Display "custom" view (various images, various text). Should I use UIWebView?

    First: No, none of the content should be loaded from the web. All content parts are shipped with the main bundle. I have n images and mass of text (including lists). Instead of building all view parts programmatically in objective-c if was thinking of using an UIWebView and build "only" the HTML dynamically. Does anything speaks against it?   • Problem with setProgressDrawable

    I am having problem with setting a new Drawable to my ProgressBar. If I use the setProgressDrawable() inside onCreate() method it works great. But when I try to call the same method inside a Handler post callback it doesn't work and the progressbar disapears. Can someone explain this behaviour? How can I solve this problem?
