  • How to customize flash message based on success or failure with Inherited Resources Rails plugin?

    - by wgpubs
    I'm using the inherited resources plugin in a 2.3.5 Rails application and was wondering how to change the flash[:notice] (or any other flash) based on the success OR failure in my create and update actions. So given the below, how do I add flash[:notice] = "All good" if success ... and flash[:notice] = "All bad" if failure? Thanks class ArticleController < InheritedResources::Base actions :show, :create, :update respond_to :html, :json before_filter :authorize_upsert, :only => [:create, :update] def create #init new game @article = Article.new set_article_attributes_from_app @article.is_published = params[:article_publish_to_web] || false @ article.game_source = @client_application create! do |success, failure| success.html {redirect_to(@article)} success.json {render :json => {:id=>@article.id, :created_at=>@article.created_at, :picture_urls=> @article.assets.map { |a| root_url.chop + a.photo.url}}} failure.html {render :action => "show"} failure.json {render :json=>@article.errors, :status => :unprocessable_entity} end end

  • Determine if a url matches a Route, and pull out the terms if it does

    - by Kevin Montrose
    I've got a big old log file I'm trying to break down in terms of routes. Essentially, I'm getting input of a path (/questions/31415 for example) and a list of all the registered Routes. What I want out is a Route and the parameters specified in the route (so in, /questions/{id}/{answer} I'd get id and answers out). I've got a working solution that basically generates a nasty bit of regex on the fly with named groups to do matching and parsing all-in-one. My gut tells me this is a brittle way to do it, and frankly there has to be a better way, right?

  • Need help with cycle in JS

    - by antiarchitect
    I have such function, that adds a grid of droppables: function AddClassroomDrops(grid, weeks, days, times) { for(week = 1; week <= weeks; week++) { for (day = 1; day <= days; day++) { for (time = 1; time <= times; time++ ) { Droppables.add('container_grid'+ grid + '_week' + week + '_day' + day + '_time' + time, { accept: 'pair', hoverclass : 'hovered_receiver', onDrop: function(pair, receiver) { new Ajax.Request( '/pairs/'+pair.id+'/update_on_drop', { method : 'put', parameters : { classroom : grid, week : week, day : day, time : time, container : receiver.id } } ); } }); } } } } The problem is that params of Ajax.Request (week, day, time) are always equal to weeks + 1, times + 1, days + 1. But they must vary according to the cycle.

  • Workaround for floats in DOMPDF

    - by alex
    DOMPDF does not support floats. However I am listing many tables, and they are mainly key & value pairs. I would like 2 of these tables to appear side by side. i.e. if I could use floats HTML <table id="stuff"> ... </table> <table id="other-stuff"> ... </table> CSS table#stuff { float: left; } table#other-stuff { float: right; } What sort of workaround can I do to support this? Or is it impossible?

  • Installing Enclosure with Netbeans

    - by jdknewb
    Hi all, I am having trouble installing Enclosure and getting it to work. I have followed this guide http://www.enclojure.org/gettingstarted and successfully installed Enclosure (I think). However, when I try to build the sample application (labrepl) I get a bunch of errors and a failed build. I haven't used Java in a long time and I've never used Netbeans, and the error doesn't seem very helpful with my limited knowledge of this domain. I'm using the latest Netbeans and the Enclosure URL from the guide. Since I am on Windows, I can't use git to clone the repo, so I'm not sure what to do from here. Anyway, here are the error messages. WARNING: You are running embedded Maven builds, some build may fail due to incompatibilities with latest Maven release. How do I perform something equivalent of a 'for' operation where-in the following code can be used to generate sql for all supported databases (e.g. H2, MySQL, Postgres) Currently I have to modify db.groupId, db.artifactId, db.driver.version everytime to generate the sql files <plugin> <groupId>org.codehaus.mojo</groupId> <artifactId>hibernate3-maven-plugin</artifactId> <version>${hibernate3-maven-plugin.version}</version> <executions> <execution> <id>create schema</id> <phase>process-test-resources</phase> <goals> <goal>hbm2ddl</goal> </goals> <configuration> <componentProperties> <persistenceunit>${app.module}</persistenceunit> <drop>false</drop> <create>true</create> <outputfilename>${app.sql}-create.sql</outputfilename> </componentProperties> </configuration> </execution> <execution> <id>drop schema</id> <phase>process-test-resources</phase> <goals> <goal>hbm2ddl</goal> </goals> <configuration> <componentProperties> <persistenceunit>${app.module}</persistenceunit> <drop>true</drop> <create>false</create> <outputfilename>${app.sql}-drop.sql</outputfilename> </componentProperties> </configuration> </execution> </executions> <dependencies> <dependency> <groupId>org.hibernate</groupId> <artifactId>hibernate-core</artifactId> <version>${hibernate-core.version}</version> </dependency> <dependency> <groupId>org.slf4j</groupId> <artifactId>slf4j-api</artifactId> <version>${slf4j-api.version}</version> </dependency> <dependency> <groupId>org.slf4j</groupId> <artifactId>slf4j-nop</artifactId> <version>${slf4j-nop.version}</version> </dependency> <dependency> <groupId>${db.groupId}</groupId> <artifactId>${db.artifactId}</artifactId> <version>${db.driver.version}</version> </dependency> </dependencies> <configuration> <components> <component> <name>hbm2cfgxml</name> <implementation>annotationconfiguration</implementation> </component> <component> <name>hbm2dao</name> <implementation>annotationconfiguration</implementation> </component> <component> <name>hbm2ddl</name> <implementation>jpaconfiguration</implementation> <outputDirectory>src/main/sql</outputDirectory> </component> <component> <name>hbm2doc</name> <implementation>annotationconfiguration</implementation> </component> <component> <name>hbm2hbmxml</name> <implementation>annotationconfiguration</implementation> </component> <component> <name>hbm2java</name> <implementation>annotationconfiguration</implementation> </component> <component> <name>hbm2template</name> <implementation>annotationconfiguration</implementation> </component> </components> </configuration> </plugin>

  • How to fetch message body and attachments in XML format using php/linux from Lotus Domino server?

    - by too
    Has anybody some information about accessing Lotus Domino server to fetch entire mail contents by http(s) requests from php linux server? The article by Andrei Kouvchinnikov describes well how to fetch message list in notes mail folders; after obtaining session id during login one can for example select top 100 messages by calling: https://your.server.domain/mail_db/mailbox.nsf/($Inbox)?ReadViewEntries&Start=1&Count=100 And this works perfectly. The problem arises when I am trying to get message contents (0A1DA5EEB7B65277C12576F50055D811 is an example message unique Id): https://your.server.domain/mail_db/mailbox.nsf/($Inbox)/0A1DA5EEB7B65277C12576F50055D811/?OpenDocument Such request in IE shows frameset with data hard to parse, in less common browsers like Opera it informs about unsupported browser. Ideally if it is possible to fetch notes message contents and all attachments by requesting it in the url, has anybody some information what request would it be? Link to Lotus web calls reference would be even more beneficial.

  • Internet Explorer generates extra br

    - by ahsteele
    I have an issue where Internet Explorer is generating an additional br element that is not in my source. The additional br effects the page's layout and is visible when using the developer tool. I've tried removing all hard returns between the surrounding elements but the additional br persists. Firefox and Chrome do not have this issue. Ideas on what I can do to fix the issue? Instead of First line. Second line. I get First line Second line. Code Example <asp:ImageButton ID="RemoveItem" AlternateText="Remove Item" ImageUrl="~/img/buttons/remove.png" runat="server" CssClass="remove" CommandName="Remove" OnCommand="RemoveCartItem_Command" /> <br runat="server" id="TotalBreak" />

  • Android Class which extends Dialog, how to clear TextViews before it is displayed

    - by wuntee
    I have a class that extends android.app.Dialog, the layout is done in an xml file, and the setup (button listeners, etc) is done on the onCreate method. My problem is that whenever the dialog is displayed, then dismissed, and displayed again, the Editable TextViews are still populated with the information that was displayed previously. What is the common way to clear these text fields? Remember - this is a separate class that extends Dialog - so there is no 'onDialogCreate' like Activity has. Or, perhaps I am extending the wrong class? There is just a lot of processing being done, and do not want to have all the code in the main Activity. I would like it to be in a separate Class. I tried to extend AlertDialog, but it does not create the border like Dialog does. Any help would be great. The dialog is shown via the Activity: protected Dialog onCreateDialog(int id) { switch(id){ case DIALOG_NEW_SAFE: return(new NewSafeDialog(this)); default: return(null); } }

  • Mysql eliminate user based on conditions

    - by Dustin
    I asked this last week over the weekend and it got buried in the archives before anyone could answer. So forgive me if you've already seen this. I teach classes and want to be able to select those students who have taken one class, but not another class. I have two tables: lessons_slots which is the table for every class such as: -------------------- -ID name slots- -1 basics 10 - -2 advanced 10 - -3 basics 10 - --------------------- The other table is class_roll, which holds enrollment info, such as: -------------------- -sID classid firstname lastname- -1 1 Jo Schmo -2 1 Person Two ... -13 2 Jo Schmo --------------------- What I want to do, I select everyone who has not had the advanced class (for example). I've tried doing SELECT * FROM lessons_slots LEFT JOIN class_roll ON lessons_slots.ID = class_roll.classid WHERE lessons_slots.name != 'advanced' But that doesn't work...All it does is eliminate that row, without eliminating the user. I want Jo Schmo, for example, to not show up in the results. Any ideas?

  • Need to get back form controls' information externally

    - by Tom
    Are there any tutorials or guides out there that anyone knows of that will show me how to read forms from an external program and get back information about the controls on the form? Currently, I can get the handle to the form, and I can get the class name, but I need to get more information such as a persistent name and contained data. Thanks. Edit: I now have a way to read the contained data (with the WM_GETTEXT message), however, I still need a persistent name/ID that I can be sure will not change from instance to instance. One way I can think of for doing this is to take the handle, find the position of the control on the window, and then get the handle from the position from then on. Another way is to determine a static ID for the control and then use that to get the handle from then on. The new scope of my problem is how to implement either of these. Any Ideas?

  • Linking buttion to jQuery through service

    - by Ruddy
    I have a small problem that should be very easy to overcome. For some reason I cant work this out. So the problem is I cannot get a button to link to some jquery. My set-up is as follows (showing the relevant code): Default.aspx jQuery: function getContent() { var data = { numberID: 1 }; $.jsonAspNet("ContentService.asmx", "GetContent", data, function (result) { $('#content').html(result); }); } jQuery(document).ready(function () { getContent(); } HTML: <div id="content"></div> ContentService.vb Public Function GetContent(number As Integer) As String Dim sb = New StringBuilder sb.AppendLine("<table>") sb.AppendLine("<tr>") sb.AppendLine("<td class='ui-widget-header ui-corner-all'>Number</td>") sb.AppendLine("</tr>") sb.AppendLine("<tr>") sb.AppendLine("<td>" & number & "</td>") sb.AppendLine("<td><a href='#' id='test' class='fg-button ui-state-default ui-corner-all'><img src='" & Context.Request.ApplicationPath & "/images/spacer.gif' class='ui-icon ui-icon-pencil' /></a></td>") sb.AppendLine("</tr>") sb.AppendLine("</table>") Return sb.ToString End Function So that's the basics of what I have everything works but I'm not sure how to get the button (id='test') to get linked to some jQuery. I want it to be pressed and bring up a popup. I have tried to put the jQuery on default.aspx but this doesn't seem to work unless the button is place in the HTML on that page. $('#test').unbind('click').click(function () { alert('Working'); }); I'm sure this is easy to be able to do but I have been trying for a while and cannot seem to get it to work.

  • How to properly set a datatable to an gridview in code with an ObjectDataSource?

    - by Xaisoft
    Hello, I have an ObjectDataSource with an ID of ObjectDataSource1 on a webpage. I also have a gridview in which I am binding the ObjectDataSource.ID to the GridView.DataSourceID. The problem I get is when text is changed in a textbox, the code calls BrokerageTransactions.GetAllWithDt which returns a DataTable. I want to set this datatable as the DataSource for the GridView, but it is telling me that I can't set the DataSouce and DataSourceId together. How can I fix this? Code is below. Also. Why can't you set a DataSourceID and a DataSource when using an ObjectDataSource? Thanks, X protected void BrokerageChange(Object sender, EventArgs e) { BrokerageTransactions brokerageaccountdetails = new BrokerageTransactions(); DataSet ds = BrokerageAccount.GetBrkID2(new Guid(Membership.GetUser().ProviderUserKey.ToString()), ddlBrokerageDetails.SelectedItem.Text.ToString()); foreach (DataRow dr in ds.Tables[0].Rows) { brokerageaccountdetails.BrokerageId = new Guid(dr["BrkrgId"].ToString()); } ddlBrokerageDetails.SelectedItem.Value = brokerageaccountdetails.BrokerageId.ToString(); if (txtTransactionsTo.Text != "" && txtTransactionsFrom.Text != "") ObjectDataSource1.FilterExpression = "convert(CreateDt,System.DateTime)>Convert('" + Convert.ToDateTime(txtTransactionsFrom.Text) + "',System.DateTime) and Convert(CreateDt,System.DateTime)<convert('" + Convert.ToDateTime(txtTransactionsTo.Text.ToString()) + "',System.DateTime)"; else if (txtTransactionsFrom.Text != "") ObjectDataSource1.FilterExpression = "convert(CreateDt,System.DateTime)>convert('" + Convert.ToDateTime(txtTransactionsFrom.Text) + "',System.DateTime)"; else if (txtTransactionsTo.Text != "") ObjectDataSource1.FilterExpression = "convert(CreateDt,System.DateTime) <convert('" + Convert.ToDateTime(txtTransactionsTo.Text.ToString()) + "',System.DateTime)"; else ObjectDataSource1.FilterExpression = " "; grvBrokerage.DataSourceID = ObjectDataSource1.ID; grvBrokerage.DataBind(); DateTime dtTransFrom = Convert.ToDateTime("1/1/1900"); DateTime dtTransTo = System.DateTime.Today; //TransactionsTo Box is Empty if ((txtTransactionsFrom.Text.Length > 2) && (txtTransactionsTo.Text.Length < 2)) { dtTransFrom = Convert.ToDateTime(txtTransactionsFrom.Text); dtTransTo = System.DateTime.Today; } //TransactionsFrom Box is Empty if ((txtTransactionsFrom.Text.Length < 2) && (txtTransactionsTo.Text.Length > 2)) { dtTransFrom = Convert.ToDateTime("1/1/1900"); dtTransTo = Convert.ToDateTime(txtTransactionsTo.Text); } //TransactionsFrom Box and TransactionsTo Box is Not Empty if ((txtTransactionsFrom.Text.Length > 2) && (txtTransactionsTo.Text.Length > 2)) { dtTransFrom = Convert.ToDateTime(txtTransactionsFrom.Text); dtTransTo = Convert.ToDateTime(txtTransactionsTo.Text); } // Fails Here grvBrokerage.DataSource = BrokerageTransactions.GetAllWithDt(brokerageaccountdetails.BrokerageId, dtTransFrom, dtTransTo); grvBrokerage.DataBind(); }
