  • Is there anyway to programmably flush the buffer in log4net

    Hi I'm using log4net with AdoNetAppender. It's seems that the AdoNetAppender has a Flush method. Is there anyway I can call that from my code? I'm trying to create an admin page to view all the entries in the database log, and I will like to setup log4net with bufferSize=100 (or more), then I want the administrator to be able to click an button on the admin page to force log4net to write the buffered log entries to the database (without shutting down log4net). Is that possible?

  • Use tab bar inconjuction with navigation bar?

    Hello, I'm brand new to Objective C programing for the Iphone. I was wondering if it is possible to use a tab bar, and in one of the tabs have a navigation bar so that I could drill down? I tried to look for tutorials and found this one http://www.devx.com/wireless/Article/45161/1954, I got it to work as written but I couldn't figure out to display the data I wanted. Does anyone know how? or does anyone know a tutorial for complete beginners?

    I added some new functionality in C and when I try to build it, it gives me the following error: libnativehelper/include/nativehelper/JNIHelp.h:116: error: undefined reference to 'jniRegisterNativeMethods' error. I have included jnihelp.h in my C files. Is this a makefile related issue or am I missing something?     I'm trying to get a query string from a shared function in a code-behind model using VB.NET. You have to use HttpContext.Current.Request.QueryString("Query") in order to get it from a shared function, however doing HttpContext.Current.Request.QueryString.Count gives back 0, which obviously isn't right in my case as there's many that exist. Is there some sort of issue with using this static call from a shared function?

    We are using htaccess basic authentication on one of our sites. One of our clients tried accessing the site and failed logging in multiple times. Now when visiting our site they simply get a "Can't Display Webpage" error. I believe I've had this before and I believe there IP's got banned after so many failures.     Hi, say I have this class: class animal { function noise() { print 'woof'; } function move() { print 'moved'; } } class dog extends animal { } What I would like to do is when i run $dog-noise() or $dog-move(), it would run something first prior to calling animal class's noise/move. Is this doable? Like maybe logging the function call. If not with class extend, what else can I use to achieve this? Thank you!
