  So I was just trying to setup a basic user authentication in Django and downloaded a django registration app with templates. Now when I run the server at 127.0.0.1:8000/accounts/register/ I get a basic registration page, I fill in the details and when I click submit I get this error "NoReverseMatch at /accounts/register/" Error during template rendering In template Users/sudhasinha/mysite/mysite/registration/templates/registration/activation_email.txt, error at line 4 'url' requires a non-empty first argument. • Wysiwyg with image copy/paste

  First, I understand that an image cannot be "copied" from a local machine into a website. I understand that it must be uploaded. I am a web programmer, and am familiar with common web wysiwyg tools such as TinyMCE and FCKEditor. My question is if there exists a program or web module or something of the sort that works will perform an automatic upload of images for a wysiwyg. I have a client that is constantly complaining about not being able to copy/paste documents with images from MS Word into a wysiwyg to create content on their website. I have looked into TX Text Control (http://labs.textcontrol.com/) and was looking into a possibly flash wysiwyg that could upload the file automatically behind the scenes. I don't know if this exists, and google did not much help me in my search, so I thought I would ask other coders. I am open to any sort of server technology, or browser requirements. I am looking for some browser based tool instead of an application tool such as Dreamweaver or otherwise. If no good solution to the problem exists, I am willing to accept that at this point. Note: This was a request from a client, and to me it seemed rather unreasonable. I decided to gather community advice instead of just tell the client 'No' and the options here have been extremely helpful and informative in presenting possible solutions.

  I don't know how else to say it so I'm just going to explain my ideal scenario and hopefully you can explain to me how to implement it... I'm creating an application with the Zend Framework that will be hosted with DreamHost. The application will be hosted on its own domain (i.e. example-app.com). Basically, a user should be able to sign up, get their own domain sampleuser.example-app.com or example-app.com/sampleuser which points to, what looks like their own instance of the app, which is really a single instance serving up different content based on the url. Eventually, I want my users to be able to create their own domain (like foobar.com) that points to sampleuser.example-app.com, such that visitors to foobar.com don't notice that the site is really being served up from example-app.com. I don't know how to do most of that stuff. How does this process work? Do I need to do some funky stuff with Apache or can this be done with a third party host, like DreamHost? Update: Thanks for the advice! I've decided to bite the bullet and upgrade my hosting plan to utilize wildcard subdomains. It's cheaper than I was expecting! I also found out about domain reseller programs, like opensrs.com, that have their own API. I think using one of these APIs will be the solution to my domain registration issue.

As soon as I type too fast (my guess is if it's any faster than the data actually returns) the entire page refreshes (doing a postback?) instead of just the update panel. I've also found that instead of typing, if I just click the button really fast it starts doing the same thing. Is there any way to prevent it from doing this? Possibly prevent 2nd requests until the first has been completed? If I'm not on the right track then anyone have any other ideas? Thanks, Matt

• Do I need to use http redirect code 302 or 307?

  I am working on a CMS that uses a search facility to output a list of content items. You can use this facility as a search engine, but in this instance I am using it to output the current month's Media Releases from an archive of all Media Releases. The default parameters for these "Data Lists" as they are called, don't allow you to specify "current month" or "current year" for publication date - only "last x days" or "from dateA to dateB". The search facility will accept querystring parameters though, so I intend to code around it like this: Page loads How many days into the current month are we? Do we have a query string that asks for a list including this many days? If no, redirect the client back to this page with the appropriate query-string included. If yes, allow the CMS to process the query Now here's the rub. Suppose the spider from your favourite search engine comes along and tries to index your main Media Releases page. If you were to use a 301 redirect to the default query page, the spider would assume the main page was defunct and choose to add the query page to its index instead of the main page. Now I see that 302 and 307 indicate that a page has been moved temporarily; if I do this, are spiders likely to pop the main page into their index like I want them to?   I am adding a UILabel instance as a subview of my custom UITableViewCell instance's contentView. When I select the cell, the row is highlighted blue, except for the background of the label. The label text is sharp. When I set the label and content view backgroundColor property to [UIColor clearColor], the label text becomes blurry. How do I set the label background color to be clear, to allow the row highlight to come through, while still keeping the label text sharp? One suggestion I read elsewhere was to round the label's frame values, but this did not have any effect. • Populating JavaScript Array from JSP List

  Ok so perhaps someone can help me with a problem I'm trying to solve. Essentially I have a JSP page which gets a list of Country objects (from the method referenceData() from a Spring Portlet SimpleFormController, not entirely relevant but just mentioning in case it is). Each Country object has a Set of province objects and each province and country have a name field: public class Country { private String name; private Set<Province> provinces; //Getters and setters } public class Province { private String name; //Getters and setters } Now I have two drop down menus in my JSP for countries and provinces and I want to filter the provinces by country. I've been following this tutorial/guide to make a chain select in JavaScript. Now I need a dynamic way to create the JavaScript array from my content. And before anyone mentions AJAX this is out of the question since our project uses portlets and we'd like to stay away from using frameworks like DWR or creating a servlet.   I have a DataTemplate which contains a CheckBox and ListBox. When the CheckBox is checked, I want to change the ItemTemplate property on the ListBox to change the appearance of each item.   I'm trying to put together a script that automatically forwards certain emails that match a specific criteria to another email. I've got the downloading and parsing of messages using imaplib and email working, but I can't figure out how to forward an entire email to another address. Do I need to build a new message from scratch, or can I somehow modify the old one and re-send it? • Scrolling with two fingers with a UIScrollView

  I have an app where my main view accepts both touchesBegan and touchesMoved, and therefore takes in single finger touches, and drags. I want to implement a UIScrollView, and I have it working, but it overrides the drags, and therefore my contentView never receives them. I'd like to implement a UIScrollview, where a two finger drag indicates a scroll, and a one finger drag event gets passed to my content view, so it performs normally. Do I need create my own subclass of UIScrollView?
