Gradient fills only half the cell

Hi, How do I get the IE gradient function here in this code sample to completely fill the table cell? C++ union data-structure, easy acccess of bits within a DWORD

Im running through a set of DirectX tutorials online and I have the following structure: struct CUSTOMVERTEX { FLOAT x, y, z, rhw; // from the D3DFVF_XYZRHW flag DWORD color; // from the D3DFVF_DIFFUSE flag } My basic understanding of directX leads me to thing tha color is made up of 8-bit alpha, red, green and blue channels. I am attempting to get east access to these channels. Rather than write the following code numerous times (within the CUSTOMVERTEX structure): public: int red() { return (color & 0x00FF0000) >> 16; } I could write a more elegant somution with a combination of a union and a structure e.g. struct CUSTOMVERTEX { FLOAT x, y, z, rhw; // from the D3DFVF_XYZRHW flag #pragma pack(2) union { DWORD color; // from the D3DFVF_DIFFUSE flag struct { char a; char r; char g; char b; }; }; } However this does not appear to function as expected, the values in r, g, & b almost appear the reverse of whats in color e.g. if color is 0x12345678 a = 0x78, r = 0x56. Is this an endieness issue? Also what other problems could I be expecting from this solution? e.g. overflow from the color members? I guess what Im asking is ... is there a better way to do this?!

Why is -webkit-keyframes not working in my SASS mixin?

I have this SASS mixin that should make a button flash: @mixin background_animation($color) { -webkit-animation: backgroundAnimation 800ms infinite; @-webkit-keyframes backgroundAnimation { 0% {background-color: $color;} 50% {background-color: red;} 100% {background-color: $color;} } } I am using it like this: @include background_animation(#000000); However, it's not working. The background color of the button won't flash. Can anybody tell me what I'm missing here? P.S. The code works fine when not including it as a mixin. Change css property in chain - JavaScript

I'm using MooTools 1.4.5 and I want to change cursor before calling function that takes some time and after finished same function set cursor to default. I was not successful. After that I made simple example to change background color via plain JavaScript (no jQuery or MooTools plugin) and again I was not successful. I assumed that the background color will bi set to red and after delay to yellow. It doesn't work. When page is loaded background color is yellow (last line). If I insert alert function in a middle of lines where sets background color everything works fine (background color is red, click to message box, background color is yellow). Why it works so? Only last changing style is affected. I need something like that to change pointer before calling function that takes 10 seconds and setting cursor to default value after function is done.

I would like to achieve a simplified result similar to the "Color Scale" function in Excel i.e. gradient colouring based on the lowest value (red) to highest value (green), except in my cross tab using Crystal Reports 2008. How to make link become inactive?

The idea was simple: change li background color on hover to one color ul#menu li a:hover {...} change it on mouse press to the other color ul#menu li a:active {...} return the color to the original (normal) if the link is neither hover nor pressed The problem appeared to be that, if user rejected his intention and lets the mouse up away from the link, the back color stays as if it was pressed. Then I tried to research and came up with this: ul#menu li a:hover:active {...} It became better, and the link is not marked with special back color in a normal state after user presses the link and rejects. But the "on-hover" back color became equal to the active one. So it looks like the link gets "active" state and stays in it even after user releases mouse button. Hate to write this, but I am very new to html and css. So I may be missing something very basic here. Could you, please, suggest any way, how to achieve my goal? EDIT I've read this source CSS Styling links (thought there could be some other state to use instead of active), but found nothing suitable there...

How to detect if a RGB is fully transparent?

In java, I want to make a fully transparent RGBA, and I do that by using public static int getTransparentRGB() { int r = 0; int g = 0; int b = 0; int a = 0; int new_pixel = (a << 24) | (r << 16) | (g << 8) | b; return new_pixel; } Color color = new Color(getTransparentRGB()); System.out.println(color.getAlpha()); // -> 255 ?! I purposely keep all rgba values 0. However after I create the Color object with the rgba value as the constructor, if I call .getAlpha(), I get 255 even though I made the rgb value with a 0 alpha. If it returns 255, how could I tell the difference between a Color object that wasn't transparent, because that would also have a 255 alpha. I expect the color object to return a 0 alpha based on the function above. Does anyone know whats going on? Thanks

How to compare a memory bits in C++?

Hi, I need help with a memory bit comparison function. I bought a LED Matrix here with 4 x HT1632C chips and I'm using it on my arduino mega2560. There're no code available for this chipset(it's not the same as HT1632) and I'm writing on my own. I have a plot function that get x,y coordinates and a color and that pixel turn on. Only this is working perfectly. But I need more performance on my display so I tried to make a shadowRam variable that is a "copy" of my device memory. Before I plot anything on display it checks on shadowRam to see if it's really necessary to change that pixel. When I enabled this(getShadowRam) on plot function my display has some, just SOME(like 3 or 4 on entire display) ghost pixels(pixels that is not supposed to be turned on). If I just comment the prev_color if's on my plot function it works perfectly. CSS layout changes in Internet explorer

My problem: I just coded a website that is styled just fine in chrome and firefox. However in internet explorer(9) it breaks. the gray header background is supposed to be pushed up to the right of the logo block, and the buttons are supposed to be in the dark grey area. i'm trying to wrap my head around how to enterprise up my code: taking a simple routine and splitting it up into 5 or 6 methods in 3 or 4 classes. i quickly came up three simple examples of code how i currently write it. Could someone please convert these into an MVC/MVP obfuscated version? Example 1: The last name is mandatory. Color the text box red if nothing is entered. The model is your data. The view shows data on screen. The controller is used to carry out the users actions And oranges taste orangy. The next step in the MVC obfuscation, i gather, is to hide the code in 3 or 4 different files. It's that next step that i don't understand. What is the logical separation of which functions are moved into what other classes? Can someone translate my 3 simple examples above into full fledged MVC obfuscation? Edit: Not ASP/ASP.NET/Online. Pretend it's on a desktop, handheld, surface, kiosk. And pretend it's language agnostic.

In Email, Image (img) Source (src) Tags are rewritten as relative links. How to fix?

I'm working on sending out an html based email, and every time it sends the image src tags and some of the anchor href tags are modified to be relative url's. Update 2: This is happening between when the body of the email is generated and sent and when it arrives in my inbox. Update: I am using Postfix on a LAMPP server. In addition, I am using Zend_Mail to send the emails out. I don't know if the title explain this situation well. Below is a code i wrote to create div elements when the button is pressed. Then By clicking on any of the created divs, we can change the div background by choosing a color from the drop down box. However if i click on another div and tried to change the color by selecting another color from the drop down, the previously clicked divs also gets affected by the new color. Why is this happening. I only want the selected div to change color, without affecting the previously clicked divs. I read allot of threads on this site, some of which talks about unbinding clicks, but I'm unable to solve the problem. Highcharts Area graph, use 2 fill colors above / below X axis

In Highcharts, I'd like to fill an Area graph with 2 colors, positive values get one color, negative values get another color. I've been able to do this with a linearGradient, but this must be adjusted based upon the size of the container. How to customize android analog clock widget through configuration screen

I'm trying to develop my own analog clock widget on the home screen. It's based on the stock ICS analog clock widget, but when added to the homescreen, my widget opens a configuration screen first. On this screen you can choose the color you want the clock to be (through a colorpicker dialog). You also see a preview of the clock in the chosen color on this screen. (See picture). My problem is changing the color of the widget on the home screen to the chosen color (when you hit the apply button). I have three .png files that I use for the dial, hour hand and minute hand. I color them using this code in my widgetconfig class: Drawable dial = getResources().getDrawable(R.drawable.clockbackground); dial.setColorFilter(color, PorterDuff.Mode.MULTIPLY); //hour Drawable hour = getResources().getDrawable(R.drawable.hourhand); hour.setColorFilter(color, PorterDuff.Mode.MULTIPLY); //minute Drawable min = getResources().getDrawable(R.drawable.minutehand); min.setColorFilter(color, PorterDuff.Mode.MULTIPLY); // clock AnalogClock clockpreview = (AnalogClock) findViewById(R.id.ACconfig); clockpreview.setBackgroundDrawable(dial); This works fine because I can find the AnalogClock since it's in the layout xml file of the configuration screen, which I set in the OnCreate() through setContentView(). The problem is that for the clock widget on my screen I have to use RemoteViews. So I tried setting the new background of the clock widget through RemoteViews. But RemoteViews seems too limited to do this. I need something like setTextViewText() but then for the background of my analog clock widget, like for example: RemoteViews views = new RemoteViews(context.getPackageName(), R.layout.clockwidget); views.setAnalogClockBackgroundDrawable(dial); The clock widget background seems sort of unchangeable. How can I recolor my clockwidget on homescreen in widgetconfig class? There must be a way because it seems so easy to do at first... My project consists of the widget config class and clockwidget class, widgetconfig.xml, clockwidget.xml, and widget_info.xml (for appwidgetprovider).
