  • Create a Modeless Messagebox

    - by Smashery
How might one go about creating a Modeless MessageBox? Do I have to just create my own Windows Form class and use that? If so, is there an easy way of adding a warning icon (rather than inserting my own image of one) and resizing based on text volume?

  • How to create an image from a UIView / UIScrollView

    - by Andre
Hi, I have an image in an UIScrollView, that can be scrolled and zoomed. When the user presses a button, I want the code to create an image from whatever part of the UIScrollView is inside an area I specify with a CGRect. I've seen code to crop UIImages, but I can't adapt it to do the same for a view, because it uses CGContextDrawImage. Any thoughts? Cheers, Andre

  • Do Programmers create BUGS?

    - by Diallo
Recently i had a not very friendly discussion with a client stating that "he can't pay for fixing bugs on the application i've built for him". his reason is simple: - I Can't actually pay for bugs you actually create. He think that a bug in an application has as origin the author so it should be his responsibility to fix it. Do you share that idea?

  • Create symbolic link to files on an FTP server

    - by Kevin Burke
I do a lot of work with files hosted on an FTP server. Currently to edit a file on the server I have to open the server in Cyberduck, navigate with the mouse to the folder I want and then click "Edit," which opens a temporary file. Anyway, editing files on the server would be way easier if I could use the terminal to navigate through the file directory and edit files. Is there a way to create a symbolic link in my home directory to an FTP server? edit: I'm on a Mac

  • FCBKcomplete, Create a new TAG with Commas as opposed to Enter

    - by nobosh
Currently, FCBKcomplete created new tags after you type something in and press enter. Is there a way to get the plug-in to allow for comma's (which is how tags are commonly separated) to create new tags? I'd hate to have to try to retrain users to user enter as opposed to the more standard comma separator. Plugin: http://www.emposha.com/javascript/fcbkcomplete.html Demo (use the second control): http://www.emposha.com/demo/fcbkcomplete_2/

  • WEBrick::HTTPStatus::LengthRequired error when accessing create method in controller

    - by Chris Bisignani
I have a very simple controller set up: class LibrariesController < ApplicationController ... def create @user.libraries << Library.new(params) @user.save render :json => "success!" end ... end Basically, whenever I try to access the create method of LibrariesController using HTTParty.post I get a WEBrick::HTTPStatus::LengthRequired error on the server. The method is not even being accessed! Here is the stack trace (this is the full output server side - notice that the controller isn't even being accessed): [2010-04-16 00:35:39] ERROR WEBrick::HTTPStatus::LengthRequired [2010-04-16 00:35:39] ERROR HTTPRequest#fixup: WEBrick::HTTPStatus::LengthRequired occured.
