    I want to plot the stock prices of certain companies VS the S&P500. I have all the price data downloaded in my excel sheet already. I want to create a line graph in Excel. One line is fixed and that would be the S&P500, and the other would be the company I select. I know how to use data validation to create a dropdown list, but how could I make it in such a way that when I select company A, I would only see company A's price data but not company B, C, etc. Then when I select company B, I would only see company B's price data & the S&P price data. And so on. The S&P line will be visible all the time, but the various company's price line will only appear if it is selected. Is there any easy way to normalize all sets of data in a way such that the starting point is always 100?

    I've got a statusbar item that pops open an NSMenu, and I have a delegate set and it's hooked up correctly (-(void)menuNeedsUpdate:(NSMenu *)menu works fine). That said, that method is setup to be called before the menu is displayed, I need to listen for that and trigger an asynchronous request, later updating the menu while it is open, and I can't figure out how that's supposed to be done.     I have an ItemRenderer that is shared by several applications (inside a DataGrid), and I would like to add a context menu to it (rather than in each application). The renderer is derived from the Canvas class, and the code to create the context menu looks something like: var menuItem:ContextMenuItem = new ContextMenuItem("Test"); menuItem.addEventListener(ContextMenuEvent.MENU_ITEM_SELECT, contextCallback); var customContextMenu:ContextMenu = new ContextMenu(); customContextMenu.hideBuiltInItems(); //hide flash menu customContextMenu.customItems.push(menuItem); this.contextMenu = customContextMenu; However, when I right click on the cell in the datagrid, I get the default Flash Context Menu. Is this not possible?

    Possible Duplicate: Desktop forgets theme? Hi, I've just installed Ubuntu 10.10 64-bit. It came up saying I could install 2 proprietary drivers, one for my WiFi adapter (which works perfectly) and one for my graphics card - a Sapphire AIT Radeon HD 5770 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card. The driver is called ATI/AMD proprietary FGLRX graphics driver. Before installing this driver I was unable to have Extra Visual Effects in Appearances. However after installing (and restarting) the menu bars are now in a basic light gray mode, rather than the sleek Ubuntu black. - Although Extra Visual Effects does now work. I've tried rebooting, and I've had a look around in ATI "Catalyst Control Center" but nothing has worked so far. Does anybody know what this windows mode is, how to change it back to normal and why it's doing it in the first place? Below is a screenshot of my computer: (This is also the first time I've installed Ubuntu on my computer, and am keen for it to work.)

When the menu items are displayed, a extra space is displayed before the lablel for each of the menu item. But I have a requirement of not displaying the space before the labels and to change the color. I used the css to reduce the space: .rich-menu-item-icon img { width: 0px; } .rich-menu-group-icon img { width: 0px; } but, i need to change the color in that place.

  • I'm getting a black screen right after Install Ubuntu option on GRUB menu. Any ideas?

    I've formatted my USB and remade the live USB twice. I tried editing editing the commands (pressing the 'e' key while the command was highlighted on the GRUB menu) by 1. deleting quiet splash and replacing it with nomodeset 2. adding nomodeset right before quiet splash 3. deleting quiet splash and adding radeon.modeset=0 I saw another solution for a fix by editing GRUB but in command line 'sudo' 'nano' and 'update-grub' all show up as unknown commands. I'm brand new to Ubuntu, in case you couldn't tell. I would appreciate any help you could give me. I want to convince my brother that Ubuntu is a better option than iOS but I can't do that if I can't install it. If you need more information, please ask. I'm not dual booting. I want this to be a full install. Thanks.

  • Hide GRUB2 menu UNLESS you hold down Shift key: how to make this happen?

    I have a Ubuntu - Windows 7 dual-boot set-up, and I would like to have it that my laptop would boot up Windows 7 unless I press down the Shift key right after boot and bring up the Grub2 menu from which I can choose Ubuntu. I researched on Grub2 and options for etc/default/grub and I have tried playing around with combinations with the GRUB_TIMEOUT and GRUB_HIDDEN_TIMEOUT values, but to no avail. I tried setting the GRUB_HIDDEN_TIMEOUT higher than the GRUB_TIMEOUT thinking that both countdown start simultaneously, but no - GRUB_TIMEOUT only starts after the other is done. Is this behavior achievable? If so, how?

  • Do navigation menu links negatively impact SEO for pages' content?

    I've always had my doubts about navigation menus effect on SEO. You know, the vertical menus on the top that show in every page in the site linking to main sections and subsections. My issue is that if not done dynamically (i.e. after page is loaded or something), from a search engine's point of view it probably looks like a whole bunch of links in the beginning of the page, and links that probably have nothing to do with the page being analyzed, so it's probably not only confusing it, but also giving link 'juice' to the wrong pages or reducing its value. When I've asked SEO people about this, I usually get a "Google is smart, they'll recognize it as a menu and ignore it" response, but I'm not convinced (and the 'Google is smart' argument sounds almost like religion discussion to me). So does it affect SEO negatively or not? Are there any official posts on this topic?

    Hi, I have a website with a menu based on sitemap. ActiveDirectoryRoleProvider is a custom class. securityTrimmingEnabled of sitemap provider is set to true. Now, nevertheless the roles set in the sitemap file, site menu displays every sitemap entity. So for example if I have in sitemap a node with roles="*", a second one with roles="Administrators" and a third one with roles="Foo" and I login as a member of Administrators group but not Foo group, the site menu will display all three items. On the other hand, if I have a node which does not specify roles attribute but has children, this node will never be displayed. If I put: <%= HttpContext.Current.User.IsInRole("Administrators") ? "Admin" : "Not admin"%> <%= HttpContext.Current.User.IsInRole("Foo") ? "Foo" : "Not foo"%> before the menu, it displays that I'm Admin, but Not foo, which is just fine. So if it knows that I'm Admin but Not foo, why does it continue to display Foo's sitemap nodes? Note: changing authorizations has no effect on the menu. It continues to show every item, even for the pages I'm unable to access.

    For reasons too long to explain, I reluctantly removed Ubuntu from my computer. After completely removing it and deleting the partition that it was installed onto, I discovered that I still had two Ubuntu entries in the boot order in my BIOS menu. I deleted them by following the instructions in this answer: http://askubuntu.com/a/63613/54934 As I was doing it, everything appeared to go smoothly. However, upon reboot one of them came back. What's going on here? How do I delete it permanently? I'll gladly provide any other information that may be needed to diagnose the problem. Thanks.

    i'm pretty sure this can be done pretty easily with jquery's animate api, but i'm not good enough to figure it out. what i want to do is this: i have a menu item at the top of the viewport that the user will click on. when the user clicks on it, you'll see something that looks like the div "popping" out of the menu and float to a particular location on the screen. when i say popping i don't mean anything fancy - i just mean it appears to be originating from the menu item and settling somewhere on the screen that i specify. but the important part is that this animation happens really fast. fast enough where you don't have to actually wait for the window to appear, but slow enough so the eye sees the animation start from the menu item and end up at a new location where the window will actually appear, and appear with a specify height and width. hope that all made sense?

I would like to enhance it to support cross-frames . It means, the horizontal part of the whole menu (html,css,javascript etc..in demo page) will exist in the upper frame and the rest will be put in the lower frame. Edit: There will be only one menu item in the horizontal part. It will be still ok if I can click that menu_item rather than mouse-hovering to show the lower part of the menu .     Linux OS (Ubuntu 12.10) starts up (user login, my personal picture of a beautiful Norwegian fjord-landscape fills the background), but the main menu on the left side, and the pictograms (battery state etc.) at the upper right corner of the screen, do not show up. This occurred yesterday quite suddenly after six or seven weeks working with Ubuntu 12.10. Then I started in recovery mode and performed a file system check (fsck) but that takes hours and finally a message ¨Sorry Ubuntu has experienced an internal error etc¨ appeared. How can I determine what has gone wrong and eventually, how can I solve it? So that I can work again using Ubuntu 12.10 (on a dual-boot system, Intel i7, ASUS P8P67 motherboard).

Now according to This article (and confirmed by other articles and MSDN) if I do the following: Install the web services toolkit (I've installed v2.01) Install SOAP Toolkit 3.0 Add a reference to Microsoft Soap Type Library (I've tried v3.0 and an older one) I should get a "Web Service References" menu item in the Tools menu but I don't. I've also tried adding every reference that seemed to have anything to do with SOAP or XML, but it hasn't helped. Any ideas?
