    example: buil.bat script start /B webdev.webserver.exe /port:3234 /path:C:\projects\src\XYZWeb /VPATH:/XYZWeb when program run this script also execution stop. How to continue execution after running this script. Problem is that build.bat never end and you must manually close it. i look here http://ss64.com/nt/start.html but no command to conitinue executing while webdev.webserver is running.

  • Passing multiple arguments to a UNIX shell script

    I have the following (bash) shell script, that I would ideally use to kill multiple processes by name. #!/bin/bash kill `ps -A | grep $* | awk '{ print $1 }'` However, while this script works is one argument is passed: end chrome (the name of the script is end) it does not work if more than one argument is passed: $end chrome firefox grep: firefox: No such file or directory What is going on here? I thought the $* passes multiple arguments to the shell script in sequence. I'm not mistyping anything in my input - and I the programs I want to kill (chrome and firefox) are open. Any help is appreciated.

  • Looking for a generic handler/service for mongodb and asp.net / c#

    I am new to MongoDB and have a perfect place in mind to use it. However, it's only worth it if I can make the queries from JavaScript and return JSON. I read another post on here of someone asking a similar question, but not specific to C#. What's the easiest way I can implement a generic service/handler in asp.net/c# that would allow me to interact with mongodb via JavaScript? I understand JavaScript can't call mongodb directly, so the next best thing is what I'm looking for.

  • Disable TSQL script check?

    Hi, lets say I have a script like that: if(some condition) begin select somecolumn from sometable end Lets say, that "somecolumn" does not exist and the condition is not true, which means the select is NOT executed. Even though the select would not be executed, the script is not valid, Management Studio complains about the missing column "somecolumn". Question: Can I somehow disable this sort of check so that the script is executed and since the if is not true, it will never notice that the column is missing? Thanks :-)

    Can someone tell me how to tell Wordpress' tinymce editor to NOT strip out script tags? I looked in wp-admin/includes/post.php and added 'extended_valid_elements'=>'script[charset|defer|language|src|type]', to the $initArray.   • Automatic exit from bash shell script on error

    Hi, I've been writing some shell script and I would find it useful if there was the ability to halt the execution of said shell script if any of the commands failed. See below for an example: #!/bin/bash cd some_dir ./configure --some-flags make make install So in this case if the script can't change to the indicated directory then it would certainly not want to do a ./configure afterward it fails. Now I'm well aware that I could have an if check for each command (which I think is a hopeless solution), but is there a global setting to make the script exit if one of the commands fails?

    I come from a web development background, and I am new to the world of OCR. After comparing a few OCR libraries, the one that yielded the best results was Tesseract. I would like to make an application that takes screenshots and perform OCR on those using Tesseract. Ideally, it would be in Java or C#, but I can also do it in C++ or Python if needed. What is the easiest way to get started with this library ? I am looking for a detailed tutorial or a sample project that uses tesseract.

    I have a bunch of (50+) XML files in a directory that I would like to insert into a SQL server 2008 table. How can I create a SQL script from the command prompt or Powershell that will let me insert the files into a simple table with the following schema: XMLDataFiles ( xmlFileName varchar(255) , content xml ) All I need is for something to generate a script with a bunch of insert statements.   • Looking for jQuery slideshow where a user can hide/show a block of text (link, caption)

    I'm looking to implement a fairly basic jQuery slideshow. One that automatically loops through a set number of images. The snag I'm running into is i'd like to have a little icon in the corner of the picture, that when clicked, brings up a transparent black bar across the bottom with some text and perhaps a link. Has anybody come across anything like this?     I recently encountered a printing issue in Firefox that eventually turned out to be a problem with the fieldset tag we wrapped the entire page in. (Bugzilla: Bug 471015) All browsers have their own rendering quirks and issues, but it can be very hard to know what's causing different behaviors. Sure, you can Google, but that's often taking a shot in the dark about what you think is causing the problem. It also doesn't stop you from having to sort through multiple complains about the same behavior before you find someone who has the issue your looking for. Are there any websites out there that let you search for rendering behavior issues by browser version, browser function, css tag, or html tag? I've seen this SO Question, Wanted: Resource for documented Cross-Browser differences, but I'd like to find something more detailed that includes browser bugs.

  • Looking to eventually build a smartphone app...

    Hi all- I'm a young, inexperienced programmer (I've had a year of Java, some MATLAB, and HTML/CSS in school) but I've decided that to get better, I'm making it my goal to produce a simple smartphone app of some kind this year- probably either webOS or Android since I'm on a PC and can't afford a Mac just to write an iPhone app. So my question is, where do I start? I've read the threads about How to Write for Android and such, but I'm not sure I have enough Java experience to just jump right in. And then there's webOS which is based on JavaScript, correct? I guess I'd just like some input from more experienced folks. I have some Barnes and Noble book credit I'm looking to get rid of too, so if there's a guide you think would be useful, feel free to request. tl;dr: Programming newbie ultimately wants to build a simple smartphone app. Where do I start?

If the the first module does use lib 'dir1', and the script does use lib 'dir2': module1.pm use lib "dir1"; use module2; script.pl use lib "dir2"; use module1; use module2; which directory is being used by the first module? Does the script's use lib, 'dir2' override the use lib, 'dir1' in the first module, or do they have different scope?

  • Issue on passing a checkbox set to an AppEngine script through jQuery Ajax/Json

    I have a set of checkboxes with multiple choice allowed. I parse the set this way: if ($("input[name='route_day']:checked").length > 0) { $("input[name='route_day']:checked").each(function(){ if(this.value != null) route_days_hook.push(this.value); }); dataTrap.route_days = $.JSON.encode(route_days_hook); } ...and pull the whole dataTrap to an AppEngine Python script via jQuery ajax. However, the Python script just bugs. If i change dataTrap.route_days value to a string instead of the JSON encoded object, everything works fine. My question is: how can i pass a checkbox set to the script using Ajax and still be able to iterate over it on the script?

    I have a php mail script sitting on a LAMP vps server. The script grabs about 1000 emails and sends them each an html email. I tested the script with about half a dozen of my own test email accounts and things worked fine. But I am concerned something may go wrong when I actually use this script for 1000 emails. Some things I would like to test for are 1) Confirm all 1000 emails were sent and received 2) Test to make sure emails did not end up in people's spam folders 3) Detect any other general failures Does anyone have suggestions on how I can test for the above cases? I would like to read about your experiences building batch email scripts.
