  I got several computers connected to my home wireless network and I want to make use of some of the features of Windows 7 for home networks but I can't seem to get them working: How do I keep files and folders in sync between specific computers? I'm not talking about Live Sync. How can I stream to Windows Media Player from another computer? I would appreciate if someone could provide me some links / solutions that address my needs. Thanks!

  It's always been hard for me to add a music folder to Windows Media Player's playlist. I double click a file in the folder, WMP opens, and I drag the other files manually to the playlist. Isn't there an option to add a right-click context menu item that automatically add all audio contents in a folder to WMP playlist?

• How can I stop wmplayer.exe causing CPU Usage spikes?

  I've found that on a very fast new machine CPU usage runs between 0-8% normally, but then with wmplayer on it hovers between 8-18%. The problem is particularly to my new machine with Windows 7, and doesn't occur on my old Vista machine. I believe it's possibly because every time I open wmplayer it tries to load up every media file on my computer into the startup screen. Assuming I want to keep using wmplayer (and since I've got a lot of playlists set up there, I do), how can I fix this problem?

• Why does winamp now play video very fast without sound in vidamp?

  Whenever I open a video in Winamp now, it loads in a new winamp-plugin-looking-window titled, "Vidamp", it plays very quickly (about 1 hour plays in 30 seconds) and without sound. I can't figure out how to disable this Vidamp plug-in if that's even what it is. Could this have anything to do with VLC Media Player? When I play a video in VLC, for some reason I can control the volume using Winamp in the background?!? Thanks in advance

• Auto-rebooting blackberry [closed]

  My BlackBerry Bold (9000) auto-reboots approximately daily, generally while I am listening to podcasts that have been saved to my add-in memory card. Neither the built-in card nor my add-in card are full. An OS update had no effect. I am using the default media player. Has anyone else experienced this or does anyone know how to fix this problem?

• How can I disable the IR/Remote Control on an HP Laptop?

  I've seen this happen on 2 different HP laptops now. If I try to use them in the same room as a Media Center, the MCE TV remote keeps sending commands to the laptop. This can do anything from wake it up and turn it on to just moving the selection around. There is no obvious way to disable the IR sensor or at least its response to the remote. Does anyone know how to do this?

  when "Services" opens, it's in Extended View. i prefer Standard view. i also prefer this column layout: Status | Startup Type | Log On As | Name | Description because when I expand all columns via Ctrl+(numeric keypad "+") what i need to see most i can view without being forced to scroll to the right. Problem: my preferred layout does not persist. QUESTION: how can i force Windows (2008 R2, 7, XP, et cetera) to remmember my settings? thnx / g.

  Currently I am using standard Dvorak on Ubuntu 13.10 and Gnome 3.10. Unfortunately, writing Umlauts (ä,ö,ü) in German requires me to switch to QWERTY/QWERTZ frequently or forces me to not write those umlauts (which looks strange to German native speakers). Is there a way to use Dvorak Type 2, including the umlauts, but otherwise using the standard English layout on Ubuntu with Gnome? I'm a fast typer on standard English Dvorak and would like to avoid fully switching to German Dvorak as this would (at least temporarily) reduce my typing speed.

  I have a bunch of media files which I want to record to DVD, but since each DVD only fits 4.5GB, I have to find the optimal way to organize the files to use the minimum number of DVDs (otherwise the empty space left in each DVD can easily add up).   I have an FTP connection active through the Map Network Drive option in Windows 7 64-bit. When navigating the remote directory, I see no way to edit files. Windows is completely ignoring file-type associations and "opens" everything with my default browser. Is there any way that I can simply edit these files? I'm open to suggestions of other software as well, but from what I can see, NetDrive doesn't work with 64-bit.

  What is the best method to rip/encode a standard definition DVD, to be streamed to a Xbox360 from a Vista Media Center pc (preferably using free software). I’ve found tons of tutorials on the web explaining how to create wmv’s from vob files using FFMpeg, but every combination of settings that I have tried has resulted in very poor video quality. I’ve also tried various video conmversion tools, but everything seems to result in poor video quality, or audio that is out of sync with the picture. Please help!
