  • how to replace strings in file based on values from another file? (example inside)

    - by thaold
Hi, how to replace strings in file, based on values from another file. Example, 2 files - input, output input: 12345 1 output: (1,'a lot of text', 'some other info',0,null, 12345), (2,'a lot of text', 'some other info',0,null, 12345), (3,'a lot of text', 'some other info',0,null, 12345), (4,'a lot of text', 'some other info',0,null, 12345), (5,'a lot of text', 'some other info',0,null, 12345); Needs to be done: read values from file 'input', and replace all '12345' with '1' in file 'output'. Thanks for help in advance

  • Is it possible to Load hbm.xml info at app startup instead of via an embedded resource?

    - by Daniel Auger
All of the NHibernate examples I've see that use hbm files have the hbm.xml file set as an embedded resource with "do not copy" chosen in the file properties. This means that if a database column name were to change in production, the app would have to be recompiled with the changes in the hbm.xml file during build time. Is there any way to make NHibernate load the hbm.xml files from the file system at application startup instead of using an embedded version?

  • Get info from multiple files, match it and then display to end user, what is fastest?

    - by Patrick
Hi, I need to build a website where we display data that is refreshed every 5minutes in a text file with a | separator. I currently use Java to do this. What I do now: I grab the textfile for every request through the website and process it and then display the data to the end user, this works fine, since Java can go through like 5000 lines of data fast, and when I filter it it is still extremely fast. However now the management wants the following: They added 3 textfiles with the | separator to it, and now want me to also read those files and match the information on certain fields, and if there is a match also display that information to the end user. I think soon enough, although Java is fast, I will run into trouble when 10 people want that information and I have to run through 4 total files matching the information. What can I do to make this process super fast? My Creative solutions so far: -Leave it this way, since Java is fast and end users can wait (probably less then 1second) -Have a background process that dumps new data into a MySQL database every 5minutes, since databases are extremely good at getting the same data from multiple tables. Thank you!

  • MS 70-536 .NET Framework Foundation - info on Exam? Especially regex?

    - by Sebastian P.R. Gingter
Hi, I know there are already some questions about this, but not that specific. I have the self-paced training kit and worked through the test exam tool that is on the CD coming with the book. I constantly fail on the test tool, mostly on the regex questions. I'm not a regex guru. In fact my regex-fu is more than weak. I know what regex'es are, how I can use them and where my 'Regular expressions - kurz und gut' book is in my drawer in case I really need them. And to be honest I feel like learning regex is a total waste of time, because if I need them I have either a colleague that is fit and can do them in just a few seconds or I need my book and get them right in a still fair amount of time. And from my experience I can tell that I need regex like once in two or three years. So just putting in a lot of time into learning just the expressions to pass the exam is.. something I like not to have to do. Can you tell me something about the real exam vs. the test exam tool on the book and about the need to know regex for passing it? Thank you for your time. Marked as Community Wiki. Hope that fits?

  • How do I get the user info of a twitter user using javascript?

    - by user187809
    Using jquery's $.ajax function, I'm not able to parse the results. For example, I used it like this $.ajax({ url : "http://api.twitter.com/1/users/show.json?screen_name=techcrunch", dataType : "json", success : function(data) { // parse the JSON here }, error : function() { alert("Failure!"); }, }); This doesn't work. Do I need a callback function?

  • How Android retrieves info of the Stacked Activities which are killed when memory goes low.

    - by taranfx
I was reading on how Activities communicate and how the calls stack up on top of each other. But at any instant when the OS(or dalvik) is low on resources, it can choose to kill Paused or Stopped Activities. In this scenario, how do we restore previous state of the activity(in which it was before getting killed) when we reach the same activity on our way back. Does stack store the state as well as references to the Activity? Aren't their chances of achieving a different state when we re-constuct activity (onCreate)?

    - by Jack

It's your typical CRUD app but I've noticed lately that some record are missing couple fields. Where they are null value. I think it might have been an Session issue. What's the best way to handle session time out in a typical CRUD app? Thanks

  • How do I pass in config info to CKEditor using the jQuery adapter?

    - by alex
I'm using the latest CKeditor with jQuery adapter. I have successfully got it to work, and display. However, as I am completely new to CKeditor, how do I pass in config variables using the jQuery method? This is what I've got $( '#input-content' ).ckeditor('', { toolbar: 'basic' }); I think from what I've read, the first argument is meant to be a callback, and the 2nd the config. But doing this has not changed the editor at all. How do I use these config properties etc using the jQuery adapter? Thanks

  • How do I extract info from a block of URLs in php?

    - by Jack
I have a list of urls, which can come in any format. One per line, separated by commas, have random text in between them, etc. the URLs are all from 2 different sites, and have a similar structure For this example, lets say it looks like this Random Text - http://www.domain2.com/variable-value Random Text 2 - http://www.domain1.com/variable-value, http://www.domain1.com/variable-value, http://www.domain1.com/variable-value http://www.domain1.com/variable-value http://www.domain2.com/variable-value http://www.domain1.com/variable-value http://www.domain2.com/variable-value http://www.domain1.com/variable-value I need to extract 2 pieces of information. Check to see if its domain1 or domain2 and the value that follows "variable-" So it should create a multi-dimensional array, which would have 2 items: domain + value. Whats the best way of doing that?

  • What library should I use for financial product pricing?

    - by watkins
I work in software division of a large bank and we are considering writing our own financial library. However, before we embark in such a project, I want to check that there is no such library on the market. We would need to have the following feature: Pricing of derivative products (options, futures, swaps, etc) Different financial models Hedging / risk management Open source would be great if it's stable. Otherwise, we would purchase the source code. We are looking for C#/.NET.

  • Show different product image in new.phtml vs. list

    - by user1907662
$collection = $this->_addProductAttributesAndPrices($collection) ->addStoreFilter() ->addAttributeToFilter('is_discontinued', array('neq' => 1) ) ->addAttributeToFilter('collection_id', array('neq' => 'LKG') ) ->addAttributeToFilter('media_gallery_label', array('eq' => 'Home Page Image') ) //->addAttributeToSort('entity_id', 'desc') ->addAttributeToSort('news_from_date', 'desc') For the media_gallery_label field, I need to be able to filter by any gallery images, and if the label of any of the images is "Home Page Image", it needs to display instead of the default "small" image. I need this to work only in new.phtml file, and not in the list.phtml.

  • How do I use udev to find info about inserted video media (e.g. DVDs)

    - by Daniel
I'm trying to port an application from using HAL to using pure udev. It is written in python and will use the gudev library, though I would love to see examples in any language. I'm able to get all attached video devices (such as cameras) via: import gudev client = gudev.Client(["video4linux"]) for device in client.get_devices(): print device.get_sysfs_attr("name"), device.get_device_name() This prints out something like: USB2.0 UVC WebCam /dev/video0 I am also able to get a list of block devices, but how can I: Tell if it is a CD/DVD drive? Tell if media is currently inserted if the drive supports removable media? Tell what the name/label of the media is (e.g. FUTURAMAS1 for a DVD)? The original code I am trying to port over is located at http://github.com/danielgtaylor/arista/blob/045a4d48ebfda44bc5d0609618ff795604ee134f/arista/inputs.py Any and all help would be greatly appreciated!

  • SSRS Export to Excel not working through VPN (Juniper SA4000)

    - by Veynom
We have a SharePoint (MOSS 2007 on Win2003 R2) with SSRS reports (from SQL 2005) embedded in it. When we connect to the SharePoint portal through our VPN (firewall is Juniper SA4000) and using Internet Explorer (6, 7, and 8) and try to export any SSRS report under Excel, we get an error message: Internet Explorer cannot download . Internet Explorer was not able to open the internet site. The requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found. Please try again later. When not using the VPN (LAN from the office), everything (exporting under Excel) works fine. When using Firefox through the VPN, it works fine. When exporting to any other format (pdf or text or whatever), everything is fine under both IE and FF. Our firewall people suspect something in SSRS/MOSS/Office. Our MOSS consultants suspect something in the firewall Juniper SA4000. When using Fiddler and when not connected through VPN, I see the following traffic once i click on the "Export button": (Response was a request for client credentials) GET /ReportServer/Reserved.ReportViewerWebControl.axd?ExecutionID=j1pqbvbqkb34qf45fhlgnx55&ControlID=733607a7d607476abb1e6b8794202158&Culture=127&UICulture=9&ReportStack=1&OpType=Export&FileName=Product+Application+Report&ContentDisposition=OnlyHtmlInline&Format=EXCEL HTTP/1.1 Accept: */* Accept-Language: en-US,fr-be;q=0.5 User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; • PPPTP VPN from Ubuntu cannot connect
