• Are there videocamera which geotag individual frames?

  I'm looking for a way to record live video with the specific requirement of having each frame georeferenced with GPS. Right now I'm using a normal video camera with a PDA+GPS that records the position, but it's difficult to sync both of these plus sometimes I've forgotten to turn the PDA+GPS or it has failed for some reason and all my video has been useless. Using google I found that about two years ago a company named Seero produced such video cameras and software, but apparently the domain doesn't exist any more and I only find references of other pages mentioning it. Does somebody know of any other product? I need to record this video in HD and have some way to export to Google Maps or other GIS software the positions of the frames in a way that I can click on the map and see what was being recorded in the video at that point. The precission of the GPS tracking is good enough as one position per second, intermediate frames of the video stream can be interpolated.

• FFMPEG Segfault Solutions

  I'm trying to convert a bunch of movies into h.264 mp4's using FFMPEG. These movies are sourced from various portable camcorders such as the Flip Mino HD and the Kodak ZI8. One issue I'm having with video from the ZI8 is it seems to be causing FFMPEG to segfault. • How to make numbered chapter titles and paragraph headers in iWork Pages 09?

  For most of my document writing I use iWork Pages (from iWork '09), and it's usually fine for me. I don't miss Microsoft Word, except for one simple feature: the ability to number chapter titles and paragraph headers for easy reference in the contents of the document and for cross references. Somehow, I cannot find this feature in Pages '09. It is possible to number headers by setting the style to numbered, but it doesn't mitigate well into the generated dynamic contents, and paragraphs don't follow the numbering of higher level elements it seems. Does anyone know how to make this work?

E.g., when one simply connects to that AP (well, there should be DHCP or something for that) and goes to serverfault.com, all the traffic goes through that SOCKS proxy. • SSL to SSL Redirects in IIS - Possible?

  We have a situation where we would like to redirect https://service1.domain.com to https://service2.domain.com. I know this is very simple with http endpoints, but I'm not too sure about https. We have some legacy windows application web service clients that will not be updating their software version soon, and we cannot update their web references to https://service2.domain.com. Is there any way to leave these web service clients pointing to https://service1.domain.com, but have their requests forwarded to (and responded to by) https://service2.comain.com? The old server is running IIS 6.0. The new server is running IIS 7.0. We could probably upgrade it to 7.5 if needed, but I'm not certain. We could also probably make a seamless transition of the old web service to a new server using public DNS, but we cannot change the DNS name of "service1.domain.com." Thanks ServerFault!

I've Goggled around, but I can find no references to Regular Expression like pattern matching in the Event Viewer. XPath has "contains", but if Event Viewer will support it, I cannot seem to figure out the syntax for invoking it.

The modest number of servers in my mind is two, and three main essential services come to mind: HTTP, mail and DNS. How do you automate this duplicity? Is rsync the tool of choice (again, for small projects)? In addition to common tools for these tasks, references to books and articles would be greatly appreciated. • Mail Merge in Microsoft Word with images from Sharepoint

  Is there any way of doing a Mail Merge in Microsoft Word 2007 taking data, including images from a Sharepoint site? It's a bit crude, but I've managed to merge text by taking the data off the sharepoint site as an Excel sheet and then merging that. My problem is what to do with the images. I can set references to the images up in the Sharepoint site, however all I can find is a way of Mail Merging when images are in the same folder as the document you are trying to Merge and I can't find a sensible automated way to pulls these images together into one single folder.

• Disappearing Windows Explorer pinned items

  This has happened twice now in three months: After rebooting, ALL the pinned items from my Windows Explorer taskbar jumplist are gone. Also, recent items from Windows Explorer are much fewer, only one or two if I remember correctly. After the first time I re-pinned the items I wanted, but about a month later it happened again. I re-pinned All other pinned items in other jumplists (e.g. Word) are fine and have never disappeared. Googling for the problem showed that ccleaner can affect this, but I personally do NOT use any cleaners or related progs on this machine. I also think that both times it happened it was after a windows update, although I can't recall what kind of update it was. After each time, Little Registry Editor showed invalid references in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\RecentDocs , but I had NOT used it prior to the deletions. Any ideas on why this happens and how to prevent it?

  I'm looking for guidance in structuring an LDS directory and finding only best practices targeted at Domain Services. Does anyone here have references for the hierarchical structure we set up in the directory? I'm interested in small items, like whether to name the top node with "DC" tags or "O" tags, etc. E.g., should it be "DC=CompanyName,DC=local" when we're not actually using any specific domain? Shouldn't it be "O=CompanyName"? And I'm interested in whether this question is even worth considering.

• Can I ping via an arbitrary interface of a DD-WRT system?

  There's a Linksys WRT54GL router with DD-WRT firmware (v23SP2). Also, ping ignores many other parameters, again, by exiting silently. I failed to find any references that DD-WRT has a limited version of ping whatsoever. I also don't think it can be a permissions issue as mentioned here since the only user with DD-WRT is root. What's wrong?

  playing Portal 2 will always give me blue screen of death, usually after about 10 minutes of playing. BSOD references atikmpag.sys. I have tried several updates for graphics driver and through ATI Catalyst Center. I have updated the motherboard BIOS. My RAM is OK. Nothing changes. I had previously run the game fine, then I removed my video card to use on-board graphics once, and after re-installing the video card, I get this problem every time. • Subdomain only accessible from one computer

  I recently added a wildcard A record to my domain (*.root.com), mapping it to a certain elastic ip on AWS. I've configured apache to redirect all references to something.root.com to root.com, except for one specific "dev" subdomain, which is hosting its own site (a Django app, specifically). The Problem: This setup works perfectly for me on my computer. But on other computers around the office, it doesn't seem to work. Specifically, trying to visit dev.root.com gives an "unable to find server" error. Pinging dev.root.com gives a "cannot resolve hostname" error. The weird thing: pinging any other subdomain of root.com does work, from all machines. I would think this was all due to DNS propagation, except all the computers are behind the same office router, so how could that be the case? Any ideas?

• Software that will burn DVDs with a SFV or Pararchive file for each disc?

  I'd like to burn several thousand RAW files (.DNG) of around 10-30 MB each to DVD to backup my photo archive. I'm looking for software that can do this and include an SFV-type file on each disc burnt. These are my requirements: compression is optional, and probably not desirable due to the extra time involved files should be spread amongst the discs as self-contained units, i.e. I don't want to have to load files from more than one disc to be able to read the files on that disc, so that excludes WinRAR's spanning options I don't want to spend time writing ISO images first as this will be a task I'll need to repeat often as I add new images to my archive - the software should write to the DVDs for me as simply as possible I'd like the SFV/Pararchive/recovery record to be stored with the files on each disc, so it only references the files on that particular disk Thanks in advance!

  So my command line skills are a little rusty and I'm having trouble remembering the differences between the meanings of flags in different distro's os's. I also don't really remember all my technical lingo so manpages seem really unclear. Basically I'm on Mac OS X and want to delete a directory along with all of its contents. What I'm mainly concerned about, I suppose, is that it'll delete literally ALL of the references within the directory, including ../ and ../<everything else, including ../'s own ../> and then just totally screw up my entire system. • How to fore Word to recompute image numbers?

  I have a word document containing images and tables. These have captions which are numbered, like "Image 1-Example of something". Later on I decided to rearrange some of chapters of my document. However numbering of objects remained the same, so the first image is image 8, the second is image 3, etc. I want to force Word to recompute image numbering so first image in document would be image 1, the second - image 2, etc. Is that possible? Will references (added through cross reference feature) to those objects be updated?

• Using 64 bit wuauclt from 32 bit command prompt

  I have a script that for legacy reasons needs to run inside a 32 bit command shell. This script also includes references to certain core windows binaries - most notably wuauclt but others as well - which are not accessible by default within the 32 bit environment. This script is being run in several locations including many windows 7 and server 2008 r2 boxes. I'm aware of the possibility to copy files from the system32 to syswow64 in order to get around this. Is there any better method - something along the lines of adding an entry to the path variable - which will allow me to fall back to these 64 bit binaries from within a 32 bit script?

  I have inherited an old database which wasn't designed very well. It is a Sql Server 2008 database which is missing quite a lot of Foreign Key relationships. Below shows two of the tables, and I am trying to manually create a FK relationship between dbo.app_status.status_id and dbo.app_additional_info.application_id I am using SQL Server Management Studio when trying to create the relationship using the query below USE myDatabase; GO ALTER TABLE dbo.app_additional_info ADD CONSTRAINT FK_AddInfo_AppStatus FOREIGN KEY (application_id) REFERENCES dbo.app_status (status_id) ON DELETE CASCADE ON UPDATE CASCADE ; GO However, I receive this error when I run the query The ALTER TABLE statement conflicted with the FOREIGN KEY constraint "FK_AddInfo_AppStatus". The conflict occurred in database "myDatabase", table "dbo.app_status", column 'status_id'. I am wondering if the query is failing because each table already contains approximately 130,000 records? • Filter data in sheets from a master sheet

  I have a 'master sheet' with lots of furniture data in it, in column A there are the suppliers names. What I would like is to be able to have my master sheet with all the info and then sub sheets named by supplier; in these sub sheets I would like to reference the master sheet and pull out all of the items that are from that supplier. For example: I would have a sheet called 'Ikea' which would look in the master sheet and search the A column for all entries of 'Ikea'. If present, copy or reference that row 1:12 in the 'ikea' sheet. I would like to do it all dynamically using references rather than copying the data. Also, I would like it to auto update rather than having to run a macro to recalculate it each time. Can this be done with formulars rather than macros?

  I’ve been tasked to identify a new server and IT equipment for the company I work for (employees <20). I’m looking at getting a SBS 2011 Standard box. My Question is: Apart from ensuring that our router is IPv6 compliant, is there anything else I need to do/investigate to ensure that we won’t have IPv6 related problems in the future? When investigating this I can only find references to DNS Mangers etc. The SBS 2011 box will be used for exchange and remote log in access – it won’t be hosting any websites. Also will VOIP phone systems be affected by IPv6? (We are running a rather old VOIP system, would that need to be updated?

• Corrupt mysql system tables

  I am having issues with the columns_priv table in the mysql system database. I cannot add new users currently. I have tried repairing it using mysqlcheck --auto-repair --all-databases --password but I get the following output: mysql.columns_priv Error : Incorrect file format 'columns_priv' error : Corrupt Is there any other way to repair this table, or how do I go about replacing it with a blank table? What would I lose by doing that? Thank you Edit (Additional Info) mysqld is currently using 100% cpu constantly. • Use Excel Table Column in ComboBox Input Range property

  I asked this in StackOverflow and was redirected here. Apologies for redundancy. I have an Excel worksheet with a combo box on Sheet1 that is populated via its Input Range property from a Dynamic Named Range on Sheet2. It works fine and no VBA is required. My data on Sheet2 is actually in an Excel Table (all data is in the XLS file, no external data sources). For clarity, I wanted to use a structured table reference for the combo box's Input Range, but cannot seem to find a syntax that works, e.g. myTable[[#Data],[myColumn3]] I cannot find any indications that the combo box WILL accept structured table references, though I cannot see why it wouldn't. So, two part question: 1. Is is possible to use a table column reference in the combo box input range property (not using VBA) and 2. HOW?

• Navigate to a virtual member from the member that overrides it

  Using visual studio, in the editor window, I am able to navigate from the usage of a member to the line and file where it is declared by pressing F12 while the cursor is over that member by or right clicking on the member and selecting "Go To Definition". I would like to find a way to navigate from an override member to the base class member that it overrides. For example, if I have the following class with one method public class SomeClass { public virtual void TheMethod() { // do something } } An I override that method somewhere else in the project or solution similar to the following public OtherClass : SomeClass { public override void TheMethod() { // do something else } } I want to navigate from the declaration of TheMethod in OtherClass to the declaration of TheMethod in SomeClass Is there a way to do this? I've found that I can find the definition of the member in the base class by pressing Shift + F12 (Find all References) and then looking through the list occurances, this works fine most of the time, since the list isn't usually that long but it would be much better to have a way to go there directly.
